Would you become friends with an alliance that is sheltering a user who which you have described hunting him as being a favorite alliance pasttime? and he's been on your ZI list for almost 2 years now for spying, atatckign other nations, blah blah balh, they sai i hacked ppl......blah blah blah
so an alliance chose to believe in you, despite all that, and this is how you repay them?
I would take such forgiving people as my allies anyday. It just seems they have slight naivety issues.

I used to like CPCN, as one of my RL friends is a member, but since the whole GATO affair..... well......
But good luck to KoC when they realize this treaty is nothing but a bunch of hollow lies and their allies are nothing but cowards unless the odds are in their favour.
(Also, while I dislike CPCN mentality as a whole, I bare no ill will towards it's individual members.)

you guys know full well it never pans out simply. CPCN has stood by its allies without fail with that one incident, caused by a plethora of different reasons, being the only exception. If you want to know why, ask any CPCN gov.

As Foreign Affairs Commissar for The CPCN, it gives me great pleasure to announce this PIAT treaty with our good friends in the Knights of Cydonia! Without further ado:
The Red Knights.Preamble
This treaty is signed in good faith by KoC and CPCN, and is based upon the ideals of friendship and cooperation. It is signed not only in the pursuit of peace, but in the hopes that both signatory alliances will work together to actively pursue an enhanced future.
Article I: Sovereignty
In the signing of this treaty, it must be clear that both organizations and their members will remain sovereign. Neither alliance will request or make the other alliance do anything outside of their spirit.
Article II: Friendship
The signatory alliances and their members will treat each other with the respect they would one of their own members. Healthy debate and discussion as well as constructive criticism are not restricted, but alliance members are expected to treat each other in a professional and friendly manner. We encourage our members to discuss a problem through the private channels first.
Article III: Nonaggression
No member nation of either alliance will declare war on any member nation of the other, provide aid, be it military, money, technology, or knowledge, to enemies of the other, or commit acts of espionage against the other.
Article IV: Assistance
Neither signatory alliance is legally bound to grant requests of military action or financial aid from the other. However if one alliance requests it is in the other alliances authority to discuss a request. If either alliance wishes to help the other in any way; they have the right to support. In either case, in the event that assistance is granted, it would be in our legal rights.
Article V: Withdrawal
If either signatory alliance feels that this treaty has been violated and diplomatic discussions have not offered any resolution, they have the right to withdraw from the treaty. Notification of withdrawal must be given to the other signatory within
forty-eight hours.

No offense to CPCN, but the membership there isn't the same as in the ICP era. Most of the good people from the ICP left long ago.

Many of those that are gone are gone for a reason. I loved the Commie alliances even when I wasnt in one, but there were people there who always managed to get them killed. We have evolved from that.

Now I won't say things were looking bad towards the end, but untill Legion/ODN got their 'victory' peace the NPO hardly seemed in the winning mood, so you deciding the end of the war sounds a bit unlikely unless you mean after Legion/ODN peaced out.
After that brilliant political move, I might buy it.
Agreed. I was ODN, we had masses undeployed, fresh and ready to go. Whoever among us decided to accept such an appalling peace settlement I dont know, but NPO versus ODN/Legion/CoaLUEtion was out of its depth.
That it took so many to put it in such a position, really is testament to the power of the Orders however.
