Any situation can be improved with diplomacy, Londo.
Unless of course your just angling to harvest tech from a weakened opponent.

Generally in situations like these you don't use diplomacy.

I considerder joing the mbefore but i didnt'. never did like UED though. Always thout KD a bad leader. So yeah, of course I support the alliance i like and not just cause i like them. But KD had it coming not being able to keep control of his menbers and all. and here they are attacking WF becuase of his incompetence you know

I find it funny that Athens actually has the balls to call someone a coward. It's shocking coming from the alliance that values infra more than conviction.

So if I attacked you but then sent peace and gave you multiple offers for peace would you simply accept it?Call me crazy, but I dont see the issue here.Penkala asked for peace quite a few times rather nicely even after he continued attacks. He maintained a cool head at first and attempted to keep the matter a tech raid, as it was originally intended to be. However, the raid target threw his reasonable attempts at peace back in his face, insulted him, and proceeded to continue attacks as a fight. At this point Penkala was simply in a battle with another nation, and used the weapons he had at his disposal which happened to include nukes.
Is the problem that he used nukes in a fight with another nation? No matter what it started out as, there was a clear point crossed in that communication by the target, at which point the war no longer could be classified as a tech raid.
I could see the OP's point of view in posting it, as at first it would seem hypocritical, but after the target posted his communications?...wow, people must be bored.
(and no, before anyone assumes, I did not post any sort of opinion in the other thread about athens :x)

It's pretty funny that the only reason people are making a big deal about this is becasue the Knights of Ni! have 39 members. Apparently alliances of less than ~5 people are not worthy of moralistic attention.

I'm not really speaking on behalf of my alliance, but I would like to say I don't think it's like NPO because it's not a war. I'ts an attack and send peace aka Raid.
also yeah, I'M PRETTY SURE IT WAS EXPECTED FOR PEOPLE TO SEE THIS. WERE NOT STUPID.
It's not a war because we only attack once guys come on don't judge athens like that it's only a raid not a war.

GRAN is still around. This would be a new alliance. Just as VA is not CON, DB4D isn't GRAN.
We both know this is the same alliance as GRAN.

This "poll" is more based towards the last year, not so much the entire history. If you blast TOP and MHA for leaving Q before the war, also blast NPO for pulling out of the WUT after it was attacked and link \m/ GOONS gen[m]ay TPF as having had MPoAP with NPO the NPO didn't uphold.
If you're going to do this, do it right, or don't do it at all.

Just because I don't run around looking for wars don't mean I don't have the e-testicles to back them up. You're welcome to test your theory out.
Perhaps if I hadn't taken all these casualties while in war rather than running from it. I don't fight people as inexperienced as you. I like fair fights.
