    I find it very amusing how annoyed people are that this war is not escalating. Guess what? Not escalating a war is the power and privilege of the alliances that actually have the guts to start one. If you want a war so bad, why not start one yourself? As this current war proves, it doesn't take much.

    Not only this but I am also shocked that anyone/anything has succeeded in getting Blade back in government! Obviously GPA must know special methods unknown to the rest of us to get retired leaders back in government.

    I don't know why people are complaining about the reparations. First off, one of the advantages of a long, tough war is that we now have a bunch of disciplined nations in the 0-500 infra range. Second, we attacked CnG, we did lots of damage, but we lost. Quite justifiably they want some compensation (and if I were in their shoes I would demand reps too).

    Maybe I've been too exposed to "hegemony" ways, but since when shouldn't winners enjoy the fruits of a victory well earned?

    If you are wondering about why this costume is so late, it is because I have been busy in real life due to academic concerns and did not have the time I felt such a costume deserved. I also admit it took me a long time to get the signature and avatar right. If there is any way in which I can recompense CN for my actions then I will help as best as I can and I wish the game and its membership the very best for the future.

    BamaBuc is me for Halloween, I feel so honoured.

    Perhaps it is time to bring out the old Comrade Vader costume I wear every year :awesome:.

    It's nice to read an essay (a good one at that!) that isn't trying to convince the reader of some "truth" or another.

    I think you are right to maintain there was only one Age of Unity, since as I remember the post-UJW era, everyone was expecting a new Initiative to rise.

    I would hazard a guess that many alliances will be seeking to group together into smaller blocs where they can develop more of a "voice" or "charismatic presence" for themselves than simply being a part of the MDP web. A sort of mixture between your Age of Order and Unity.

    Typically I keep my mouth shut and don't say a whole hell of a lot. But I have come to respect several Alliances out here and I am very saddened by these turn of events FEAR. You see while I understand the need for you to follow your masters blindly into the fire I do not understand why your undying loyalty should allow you to go the way of the DODO (mainly extinct). I had thought that an Alliance that would regard itself so admirably would hasten to assist their fellow allies and help them see the error of their ways and thereby aiding them in their most precarious situation that of fixing the problem that was in point of fact started by their own actions. I see many admirable people here in FEAR and I cannot understand why you are avoiding the greatest problem your own stated Allies are having --- They started this and now you want to leap into the fire. It makes no sense to me. I would have thought that FEAR would in reality take the best course of action aid your allies in the thing they lack the most in COMMON SENSE;

    Yeah, and if we leave our allies' allies then we're "cowards." I see how it goes.

    FEAR takes its treaties very seriously. We are gladly marching into this war with our allies at UPN and UCN, knowing that our bonds of friendship cannot be shattered by any steel, uranium, or propaganda.

    To those who cast themselves as the "anti-establishment" crowd, please remember this:

    There are many alliances that are indirectly allied to the NPO who will be honoring their treaties in the upcoming fight. They, that is we, are not lackeys: No, we are the Auxiliaries. We are the Allies. We are the ones who are told by the mighty alliances "you can count on us" and who have been raised by this political system to be dependable. Perhaps you think of us just as well trained dogs who do as they are told; perhaps there is some truth in this. But what is better, a dog that runs into the burning Palace where his Prince lies wounded, or a dog that pulls his tail behind his legs and flees?

    Luckily our time as the executors of Imperial will has not been dominated entirely by a master-slave relationship: along the way many of us Auxiliaries have made strong friendships, and even when all else has been corrupted and profaned, these friendships among battle-companions and equals remain untouched and pure. And so, for the last time and for a long time to come, we take the field and shout our war-cry. And let you, our enemies, who have only recently grown strong enough to offend the majesty of Empire, still feel some residual fear as you hear: "For the New Pacific Order! For the Status Quo!"

    Tygaism is based on a principle not of personal gain, but one of mutual respect. A Tygaist does not seek friendships of convenience. Instead, a Tygaist will work to form meaningful friendships based on trust and respect. This may often lead to a semi-isolationist state for a Tygaist but this is not because of a lack of desire to form friendships but due to the requirement for trust and respect to exist before a friendship is forged. True trust and respect are hard to find and therefore a Tygaist will have few friends but those they have are loyal.

    As one of the first batch of diplomats who came to the STA shortly after their founding, I can attest to this fact. Even as a very new and small alliance, the STA did not run willy-nilly into treaties.
