  1. I wasn't aware leaving NPO during wartime was traitorous. I suppose no one has left within the vast majority of the past two years then?

Really...at least read the latest post before you ask a question or bring up a point. It's invariably been asked before in a 19 page thread. Here's your answer:

This was answered earlier. They have an alliance status. If the conflict they are in is deemed sufficient enough, that status changes to a war one. The Jarheads conflict put them into war status.

Our war with FAN is not considered big enough now to warrant the level of 'Open Warfare', therefore people are free to leave provided we aren't in any different conflicts.

  2. I never acted as if the creation of MK was a response to the NPO's existence. I'm operating under no illusions that MK is here to fight Pacifica. I'm pointing out (that like FAN) one can be neutral towards them, or in FAN's case, even friends and still be faced with the prospect of war with them. Does this mean you cut and run when you get your nose bloodied? That you are so willing to sacrifice your freedoms, or your sovereignty for the sake of a few dozen levels of tech or a few nukes? I can see that you love the NPO, because you have little in the way of courage to stand up for the ability of alliances to act in whichever manner they choose. This has nothing to do with "blind" hatred of the NPO. I've said it elsewhere and I will say it here. I don't want to see NPO destroyed, and I don't want to see her allies destroyed. What we want, is for Pacifica to cease it's hegemony over the rest of the community and to release alliances from having to toe the pacifican line in order to survive. What we want, is freedom in short.

Why would you want to deny us our freedom of having a 'hegemony over the rest of the community'? :(

    Back on track:

    Nukes: 139. I expect a thousand by update :P

  3. Speaking as someone who was quite vocal in opposition to the Viceroyship during the end of the GATO-1v war, (but not on behalf of GATO, and I certainly can't speak for Pacifica as a whole) the NPO members involved in the Viceroyship have been nothing but helpful in overhauling and revitalizing GATO. After each of the last 3 major wars, when membership, activity, and spirits are down, we go through a slow time. This Viceroyship has in some ways been our most productive period in awhile, and our Pacifican comrades seem genuinely interested in improving our lot in the cyberverse.

We don't always agree, but it seems that since the end of the war our goals are the same, for the first time in a long time.

I agree with Moniker. The Viceroyship team has being really helpful in a lot of maters, and there have being a lot of improvements.

I'm really happy to see posts like these. Whatever your view on Viceroyships, myself and others have put a lot into GATO with a genuine want to help them grow. To say the NPO doesn't 'care enough about the Viceroyalty' is an insult to that work. We do.

  4. The Meaning of Freedom as Far as Vladimir is Concerned was quoted to denote the "usual manner" in which you reply to threads that broach philosophical essays--unendingly.

Even if this was the case (which I don't believe it to be), how is this related to anything that has happened in Pacifica within the last week? Maybe you should change the title to 'This month(approximately) in the OWF'.
