what is the rocket infra jump? it sound a lot like the infra waterfall where the bigger nations send aid to all the smaller nations to make the next infra jump. that boosted our AS by a lotttt.
Rocket infra jumps are pretty common knowledge. Basically runs like this: New Member/rerolled old member has a brand new nation.
Day 1:Send the 4x3million right away. New nation pays bills then buys enough infra to purchase the Foreign Ministry. Send another 3 million once the new aid slot opens.
Days 2-10: New nation just pays bills. Sits on cash.
Day 11: Aid slots open again and the new nation receives another 5x3million. This should give the new nation around 29.5 million in cash (after bill payments). New nation can now grow to like 10k nation strength or something silly like that.
I don't remember the exact math but doing this with nations you trust really gives you a huge step up on growth numbers. Plus if someone steals your money it helps to have a few nations hanging around that NS with Manhattan Projects and nukes.. Just a little precaution.

oh yeah, they seem to be very proud of that flag and we voted to change it but decided to keep it. that was right before the forums change, prob at the end of july, begining of august and we also replaced the top picture of that house with our flag we've undergone many changes lately
to help boost activity and such.
were you the originator of the infra waterfalls? and the tommy gun tech tantrums?
those were pretty much genius hahahEh myself and former MoF's were in charge of various aid programs though neither of those. Classically the rocket infra jump for new nations was what was most effective for us though.

i've been here a yr, this month, steelz recrutied me, was like Unidre and steelz or Lord Draconis or king arthur or anyone in the mafia while you were under leadership?
They all were around when I was around. King Arthur I believe was only around for a short time before I left but yes, they all were around under my rule. It is good to know they have continued to grow and push the Family into the future.

well congrats on that but our new leadership is doing well... better than ever... they said that the Mafia had never been over 500,000 AS even before the breakup and we're currently gaining about 150,000 AS a month. we plan on hitting one mill, easily, by the end of the yr

We were just below 1 million nation strength for the longest time before the initial break up. I am staying politically inactive as RL keeps me busy as hell (I just worked 8 hours at a charity event today on top of my regular everyday !@#$) but I will help when ever I can. Mafia members msg me for cash/advice if needed.
Edit: The reasons I left are twofold. First RL just keeps getting busier for me. Its hard to be as active as I want to be and secondly there was quite a rift amongst our leadership. I had stepped down from being Don quite sometime earlier in order to gain more free time. After I appointed Samaritan Empire (Head of the Immortals) as the second Don. I am blury on what happened next but I think it involves me making a controversial appointment of our MoD to Don after SE's stepping down. This basically tore the alliance into two factions, what would become the Immortals, the remainder of the Mafia, and Me. That makes three parties but I basically said F**k it I'm done ahah.

I'm glad you love 1984 but your nation is probably a little too young to be creating alliances. Read the alliance creation guide, join another alliance (PM me if ya want to) and learn the ropes first. There is a lot to think about before you create an alliance. Just trying to be helpful my good friend.

Agreed. Reading his obituary in today's paper was a sad reminder that our community lost another accomplished member. Although I didn't know him it sounds as if he had quite a life.
My condolences to his friends and family in CN and in the real world.

And yes i was in ACID...I miss that alliance and dread remembering my final days with it
Edit: I think you may be saying GOONS were thinking for themselves but I am not sure... If that is what your saying I agree on that point but there was more to it.

Dilber I usually like your posts but I refuse to believe this with out some names. Plus I really don't think there were many sizable alliances that could have withstood the ODN and Legion swarming them. The WUT members were fighting to the extreme with excellent coordination and tactics but really were giving it their all. The Thousand members of the Legion and 600 (around there) members of ODN would have been too much to handle.
IMO anyway.
Edit: That little quote of mine is meant to be a comical interpretation of what is going on in my head when Dilber said that. Even though I usually don't agree with what Dilber posts in terms of CN politics, he usually makes great points and excellent posts.

How is it like the political climate of today though?
People pretending to be friends in order to stay safe even though the only thing they have in common is a piece of paper that states "We are allies". The WUT had common goals and many of the alliance had comparable culture. After GWIII that changed and things began to move towards the rabble of an MDP web we have today.

At heart my friends at heart. I was there when the league fell apart and since then have acted as a cheer leader. Almost considered joining the movement but then you got rushed and I figured you had it under control. I put the ideas of the German Empire and it's Kaiser's wishes first but I do dream of a new global order not the New Pacific Order. I'm fairly sure that most people who know me know this.
(All of the above in no way is the opinion of my alliance and this is an OOC forum so my opinion is my own)

My point still stands that CN is below 30k members for the first time since it crossed that mark in '06. We as a community need to work on retaining players and increasing the number of players. I feel the game was it's best when there were just over 40k nations. 50k (which was our height if I'm not mistaken) was probably saturating the game but I always felt more is better.
Also, again to stay on topic, I am pretty sure a friend of mines nation (Whiteboy of Gobbler) had to be bailed out of over 100 days of bill lock. He ended up restarting after being bailed out which was a real piss off for everyone who contributed :angry:

Regardless there is still a huge membership difference. I miss the spam in the color forums btw

Why do we keep chasing off members and killing our community. Every time i see the old forum I remember '06, a time where a month was consider a very long time (peace terms wise), and shed a tear.
