    I find it very telling that the NPO's leadership did not have the fortitude of generative organs to announce their surrender themselves.

    But perhaps I'm being too harsh on them. This is only the third time they've faced such a situation. Twice before is very few chances to become accustomed to it.

    Maybe it was part of the terms that the person this whole thing started over got to make the final hammer blow to the nail? Ironic, donchathink?

    I guess it is hard to see the truth when you have your head buried up your own hatred-filled $@!.

    I meant the alliance as a whole.

    You know, the alliance he leads. Too bad you cowards didn't follow his example.

    Awfully big talk from somebody who had nothing to do with this. We know you loathe our existence. Is all this anger boiling over because someone did to us what you never could? You should be happy. We got spanked.

    #1 I just don't see how the two-weeks of war term is that terrible.

    #2 I understand they fear that they might miss a payment, and they would get redeclared on. I don't think it's a valid fear so long as they try

    #3 but I think some sort of protection could get written into the terms for that.

    #4 The no treaty thing I think is an empty term. We can't stop them from talking to other alliances, and as soon as the term was up, they would have all the treaties they would have had during that time signed immediately. If it did work, stopping an alliance from making outside relationships is a greater intrusion than a couple weeks of war.

    And herein lie the problems that we have:

    #1: I agree, sort of, with you. 2 weeks of war really isn't that bad. EXCEPT when it will be 2 weeks of war on the nations that would be counted on to provide post-war reparations and help rebuild our alliance. We have no middle ground anymore. We are an alliance of smaller nations that are in no shape to pay reps and larger ones that Karma wants to beat to a pulp for 2 weeks. Also, it involves placing way too much trust in our enemies actually stopping after 2 weeks. I just don't see the karmic blood lust being sated after 2 weeks. If you have that much faith in their "good graces", you Sir are a much more trusting person than I. See #2.

    #2: The possibility of missing just one payment, which can and will most probably happen, will nullify everything and we'd be back at square one. I believe most would be understanding and accomodating, yet I know there will be those people who would cry out for more blood. Those people would be the ones who would override the merciful ones. (see the last 2 sentences in #1)

    #3: Is Sparta volunteering to be the protector? Can we trust you? Can we?

    #4: Seems to be contradictory. You say the no treaty thing is an empty term. I submit it would be a better term than the extra 2 weeks of war. Power in CN is not just derived from a single alliance. Power is a combination of one's alliance and its allies. Sure, we can't be silenced from talking to people, but we'd have no way to effect anything diplomatically. It would severely hamstring us for 1 year putting us way behind the rest of Planet Bob.

    You sir, are not even fit to carry Ivan's jockstrap. Comparing yourself to him? How absurd!

    I can say with complete honesty that I am done fighting NPO and have finished wanting to fight NPO. This war started so long ago that in all seriousness I have to carefully count back to the year that it started, never really sure if it started in 2007 or 08 (it was 2007, I just counted).

    I unloaded all my nukes from my first nation and fought it to ZI. Deleted it, started a new nation and grew it among people that at the time I didnt really know but now I hold the utmost respect for, and inner regret that I put them in danger by my actions and deceived them for my own gains. I lied, spied and did everything I could think of to gain an end. I nuked, attacked, stole, rabble roused and more. I honestly never thought this day could come, nor that it was even possible. Bad JuJu was born as an instrument of war and has lived every day of it's existance to further that goal. It will be a refreshing change to turn it into a nation of growth and peace. I may even get rid of my military improvements and get (gasp!) a few banks and stadiums. I seem to remember that those make you more income or something like that.

    Anyway, NPO, you guys are determined SOB's and when all the chips were down you stood and fought. Damn few alliances ever actually do that. You have my respect. And unless you guys choose to initiate something in the future, I am done fighting and hating on you. 2 years is totally long enough hating for me. :war:

    Much respect to FAN's tenacity. Well done! I hope everybody in FAN shares your mentality. Good luck in the future.
