Soviet Britain, none of our members were going to leave the LSF to declare on the USSR, some wanted to declare on the USSR, but the majority still didn't. It was discussed, and voted on, and the result was clearly against it. There was no chance in hell that the very very small minority would have got their way. And the Trotskyist bloc...ah, memories...almost destroyed the LSF. Started out as some jokey thing designed for the public random chat and political discussion forums, and instead you turned it into some political bloc within the LSF...

Well, the CPCN model was initially created by Haraldur, for the exclusive purpose of leeching SE members. It was created as an 'intermediary' type alliance, to subdue -SE- influence on the left. Is it any surprise then, that they would reject Silentism in the wake of LSF's destruction.
I'm glad you changed the name though, 'Bobian Communist party' never sounded quite right.
I don't remember them making this position public...

I'm not talking about the maroon war. Before the maroon war ICP hatched a plant to attack an MDP partner of NoR inorder to draw NoR into a war. Their belief was that by attacking an MDP partner of NoR that NoR's MDPs with the AoA (GOONS, NPO, NpO) would not chain. They talked about this on their open squak box which could be read by any member of their forums masked or not(no that was not an accident) including Mathijs the fonder of ICP and then NPO member. It was because of these plans that the AoA had little sympathy for the ICP during the maroon war.

Don't use Socialism and Communism synonymously first off. If you do not know the definition of communism, then don't attempt to debate against it.

ICP did use communist -soviet- symbols)Again, Communist symbols are not necessarily Stalinist. The hammer and sickle for example, despite it having been an emblem famously connected to the former USSR, it is also a symbol of the worldwide Communist movement, as the Red Flag is for the Socialist/workers'/social democratic movement.
IC: despite all these, i always liked ICP, for some what reason, maybe cause i didn't know them well.... a cool, little poor alliance who was hit by all kind of guys... but it's a game, and don't let in any ideologies, especially not bloody ones....
I liked the ICP, that was back when we at the LSF were the little brothers in CN leftism, looks like it'll end up that way again lol.
But then, what ideologies would we allow in? Bourgeois democratic liberalism is itself bloody, so is conservatism, or social democracy. Capitalism, Feudalism, Stalinism, Nazism(-capitalism) etc... are all bloody, are we to restrict ideology altogether from CN?

Lenin had no problem with nationalism otherwise he wouldn't have praised Stalin's work "Marxism and the National Question" in 1912.
OOC: One can't just say so-and-so supported it, therefore its right! Lenin wasn't right in everything he did, and in addition to that, may I make an addition then, I support nationalism to a degree, whereby it can be used as a tool of unity and empowerment for the peoples of an oppressed nation. When used by an oppressive force, it is highly reactionary.

quick question: if NoV had a spy with admin powers in LSF... why didnt the people who were targeted for nuking get a warning?
high-end nations often cycle in and out of peace mode, so it wouldn't really look like they were warned, but rather it was coincidence. but who am I to bring a bit of logic to this thread? it's the LSF we're talking about here.
Why would they? Sacrifice some infra belonging to two nations, and as long as your spy has screenshots, there you have it, a "just" reason for war, you get another chance to try and get rid of your oldest rival.

Concerning Universal Ideologies
The Norden Verein takes a neutral stance against ideological systems in general, recognizing that ideologies do not represent themselves but are, rather, represented by those who act on their presumed behalf.
The Verein declares that no prejudice will be held against any alliance based on ideology, except insofar as the actions of said alliances' leaders or members places them in conflict with the Verein.
Well you see, this is a nice way of saying, we do not care for alliance ideology, unless you are a revolutionary leftist non-Stalinist/Maoist/Jucheist. As revolutionary leftism is inherently opposed to Nationalism, and so actions taken by leftist alliances must naturally oppose the ideology of NoV to stay true to their ideology.

One thing however. I like LSF, you guys have some quality members but your ideals get in the way to often. Even if LSF got peace now there would just be another problem like this in the future. You need a government, people who have to make decisions on the spot.
The forum is another issue I've heard about.
I'm thinking of holding out on the aid to see if you guys survive. If you do then you'll get the aid don't worry.

I agree that some changed must be made in the LSF post war also. Changes that will not affect the LSF's political system but that can benefit the whole alliance collectively is possible. We should have a major look at our guidelines and policies post-war.

Hah, and you base that on what? Yes we have lost nations in the alliance, every alliance does in times of crisis, but like always, the LSF has a true core member base which will give up all for the alliance and come back when their nations get deleted.
You don't realise the amount of cameraderie present in our alliance, the amount of unity, to us, our forum community is more important than the game itself.
