The Guomindang are driven back from Beijing, and are pushed back across the Yangtze. 1914: Imperial Germany signs a cooperation pact with the Guomindang and sends them military advisers and equipment as an attempt to outflank the British in the Far East and prepare for an eventual invasion of the British Raj. 1915: The war continues with the Guomindang and Yuan Shikai's army. Yuan Shikai coups the Qing Imperial Family and usurps the title himself, this causes some Manchu units to rebel and join with the Guomindang. 1916: The Germans cut down on supplies due to the war in Europe, Japan threatens to intervene to help Yuan Shikai and forces the Chinese to except a second northern Yuan dynasty in central, west, and north China, while the Guomindang win most of Southern China. Sun Yatsen is proclaimed President of the Republic and declares a Republic of China. He begins the self strengthening movement rather than focus on reunification. He secures treaties Britain and France, for not moving on India and Southern Indo China in exchange for North Vietnam and Hong Kong. 1919: Japanese advisors begin development of Yuan Dynasty 1928: Yuan Shi Kai dies, New Ming Empire declared. 1938: The United States of China signs a Anti-Comintern Pact with Japan and the Soviet Union 1940: New Ming becomes an Japanese Puppet state 1945: With defeat of Japan New Ming Empire becomes a Constitutional Monarchy, economic development ensues 1970-1985 Stagnant economy threatens to destroy New Ming Empire, Zhuang Gang ascends throne to quell rebellion 2007: Emperor Zhuang Gang dies, Hong Wu ascends throne.
