A GUIDE TO THE WARN AND BAN APPEALS FORUM

This forum presents the opportunity of a second chance for those who have broken forum rules in the past. Here you may appeal your warnings to members of the Senior Staff. It could be the opportunity to have your warn level lowered after having demonstrated improved forum conduct, and to continue on with a better record or clean slate. The appeals process is not a "right," it is a privilege. admin reserves the right to ban or otherwise reprimand any player of this game at any time, for any or no reason at all. If you have a bad attitude about it your appeal will immediately be denied.

You may only make one request or file one report at a time.

THIS IS A NO DISCUSSION FORUM! Only the Senior Moderation Staff and the complainant of each particular case may post in the complainant's thread. Anyone else who posts in any thread, at any time, and for any reason, will receive a non-negotiable automatic warning. NO EXCEPTIONS.

This forum is not for appeals related to in-game affairs including nation deletions, cheat warnings, Foreign Aid or Trade Agreement cancellations. You may not appeal in-game actions. No we will not restore your nation. No we do not care that it was your brother/sister/dog/parrot sharing your network, it's illegal to control more than one nation and you broke the rules. You may not appeal an in-game warning; it's three strikes and you're out. You can't trade, aid, or war with any nation you get a cheat flag with, and no, it doesn't matter if you really don't know them. Bans are permanent, period. If you file a report that doesn't belong in this forum, you will receive a warning. Make sure you read all of the rules and guidelines and/or pinned threads before posting in any of the Moderation forums.

  • You may only appeal for a warn level reduction or file a general appeal of one warning at a time.
  • There is no set time limits between warn level reduction requests but we will never grant an appeal within one month of your last appeal or warning, verbal or otherwise--in fact we prefer you wait longer than one month of active forum time before appealing and will be far more likely to grant you a reduction if you do.
  • The above also applies to warn level reductions requested after user-requested bans are reversed upon request. Until over one month of active time has passed (during which you have been active on the forums) from the day any user-requested ban was overturned you may not appeal for a warn level reduction. The warning you received for requesting the ban in the first place will stand as any other warning--ban requests are meant to be permanent, so don't request one unless you really don't intend to come back.
  • Players who attempt to use the Ban and Appeals process as a way to continue breaking the rules and having their warn levels lowered will be banned at the discretion of the Senior Staff.
  • If you are appealing an in-game ban, do not create a nation; creating a nation while banned in game will only get your appeal denied.
It is your responsibility to read, know, and stay up-to-date on the rules and procedures of the game and forum, including knowing how to correctly file a report in any Moderation forum.
  • REQUIRED - Report in this format:
    • Nation:
    • Ruler:
    • Nation Link:

All reports must be filed in this format, whether about your own nation or nine others--every nation involved must be documented in the above format. Failure to do so will result in your thread being ignored and/or a warn level raise.

DUE TO RAMPANT CHEATING, WE DO NOT ALLOW MULTIPLE NATIONS TO ONE USER.

You are never, under any circumstances, allowed to trade with, send aid to, or war with each other if you have ever (even once) logged in from the same computer. The only exception to this is following approved nation sitting.

Players are not allowed to appeal in-game warnings and actions. Please read the entirety of the game rules if you are still confused. Basically, if you do not follow the above rules your nation will be deleted. If you are not deleted at the time of an in-game warning and from then on out do follow the rules, you should be fine. Your nation will not be restored if it has been deleted for a rules infraction, (again) no matter what you may feel your personal circumstances may be. So don't ask. Two in-game deletions = permanent game and forum ban. 100% forum warn level = permanent forum and game ban.

    Report Nation Sitting here.

[*]No one can appeal a warning or a ban for someone else. If that person cares enough to be a part of the forum, they can say exactly why they deserve another chance. Banned players can still see this forum, and only this forum. Attempting to appeal someone else's ban will result in a warning.

[*]Warnings are not decreased over time; however, good behavior is taken into account. Discretion for this is up to the Senior Staff, and if they believe that the player in question has changed since the last warning, the request may be granted. If not, it will be denied. Show us that you deserve to have your warn level reduced by following the rules and reforming past negative behaviors.

[*]"Vouching" or "character witnesses are not allowed." Not only will the friends (no matter how many) posting on your behalf not help your case at all, they will also get warned for posting in a No Discussion Forum.

[*]Forum bans for illegal forum account names will only be lifted if you provide either your nation name or ruler name to change your forum name to (after presenting your information in the format explained above). You must specify which you want your name changed to and it has to match one or the other exactly. There is an automatic 20% warn for forum name not matching nation or ruler name and no, it will not be removed once that has been rectified (normal Warn Level Reduction procedure applies). You are expected to read and know the rules as you agreed to do upon registering.

[*]A member of the Senior Staff will grant or deny your appeal based upon your warn history and forum conduct. The staff member handling the appeal may reject or approve it, and a thread lock will follow all appeals that are deemed closed. HOWEVER, if you wish to appeal further, do NOT make another thread; this will only get you warned. Send a message to Keelah, Head Mod, and state your case in a calm, cool, collected manner. Spamming or flaming any of the moderation staff will result in a warn level raise, a suspension from the forum, and possibly a ban.

When requesting an appeal, state the warning, why you're appealing it, and why you deserve the warning removed from your record.

Do not bump your appeal threads. Appeals are viewed in the order they are received. Bumping an appeal is considered discussion and you will receive a warning.

Warnings are used by moderators to keep track of the system. For all normal violations:

Warn | % | Punishment

_________|_____|_____________

1st Warn | 20 |

2nd Warn | 40 |

3rd Warn | 60 | 48 Hour Ban

4th Warn | 80 | 120 Hour Ban

5th Warn | 100 | Full Ban
