REPORT GAME ABUSE

You may only make one request or file one report at a time.

THIS IS A NO DISCUSSION FORUM! Only the moderation staff and the complainant of each particular case may post in the complainant's thread. Anyone else who posts in any thread, at any time, and for any reason, will receive a non-negotiable automatic warning. NO EXCEPTIONS.

REQUIRED - Report in this format:

* Nation:

* Ruler:

* Nation Link:

All reports must be filed in this format, whether about your own nation or nine others--every nation involved must be documented in the above format. Failure to do so will result in your thread being ignored and/or a warn level raise.

1.) Reporting Offensive Content

When reporting a nation for offensive content (inappropriate nation ruler, nation name, nation bio, etc.) please provide a link to the offending nation along with their nation and ruler name.

2.) Reporting Multiple Nations

Follow the directions outlined above & in this thread.

3.) Reporting Messages

When you have received a message in-game that contains offensive content or may be suspected of attempted hacking, etc., please use the link found on the bottom left of the message box. Do not post the message in this forum. In-game messages must be reported in-game.

4.) REPORT WIKI ABUSE - Also Fixing Wiki Abuse Easily

originally contributed by aido2002

If you see vandalism on the wiki, this is what to do:

  •
  • Click the HISTORY tab at the top of the article.
  • Look through the log for the edit that appears to be the vandalism, usually the last few edits. Go to the last non-vandalism edit, and click on the date and time it was posted.
  • You should be in a page that looks like the last edit, but below the article's title, you should see the poster's name, the date and time of post, and links allowing you to go to the last or next edit.
  • Click the EDIT tab at the top of the page.
  • You should be at an editing page, but see the text "WARNING: You are editing an out-of-date revision of this page. If you save it, any changes made since this revision will be lost." near the top.
  • Click the SAVE PAGE button below the editing box and the line for a summary.

That's it, you fixed it! Congratulations! :J

5.) Handled Reports

All reports that have been handled by Cyber Nations staff will be closed. If the topic you created is not closed, chances are there was not enough evidence to warrant moderator action. Do not create more topics about the complaint. Do not bump the thread unless it is knocked off the first page or two, and do not flame the mods. Doing all of those things will get you warned.

Rule Regarding Multiple Networks on One Network as of 03.13.07 said:
Due to rampant abuse of the good faith of the moderation team, we will no longer be allowing multiple nations to be controlled on the same unique internet connection by different family members or roommates. By the estimation of our game moderation staff a large number of these reports of family members or roommates actually controlling these nations are entirely fraudulent and are being made simply as a free pass to cheat. The Cyber Nations Game Moderation team will be reviewing all previously reported "multies" and taking appropriate action where necessary. We have all the information we require for the investigation, so please do not bombard our game moderators with your specific pleas to save your nations. If you are not a multi, we will be able to tell.

Thank You,

The Cyber Nations Moderating Team

SUSPECTED CHEATING REPORTS

If you have a suspicion that a player/s may be cheating in-game (controlling multiple nations, illegal aiding, circumventing a ban, etc), you must start an individual thread reporting each instance. In other words, only one report per thread, please. Each nation involved must be documented in the above mentioned required format. You are welcome to post additional evidence (not IPs or other personal information) after you have completed the initial report in this format.

NOTE: Do not start repeat threads about the same offense. Remember that this is a no discussion forum; only the thread author and the moderation staff may post in each thread. Breaking this rule, no matter your personal circumstances, will result in a warn.
