He cleared his throat a few times before speaking, "On this day, I have come before my people and the world. To carry the announcement of a Republic in the West, counties of The State of Oregon, The State of Washington, and portions of British Columbia, to reform what would have been Oregon. Our plan is to carry out the vision Thomas Jefferson originally had in store for us. We will reclaim the Oregon Territory, and we will be the Best in the West."
