Britons in China

Upon invitation by Tianxia and already being in the area for the Oceanic tour the plane carrying King William would make a detour to Tianxia. Historically there had been quite a few disputes between the two countries, one only needed to remember a certain kick to one of William's predecessors crown jewels so to say. That being said, those times had passed and they were in a brave new world now. In line with this the plane would announce itself to Tianxian air traffic control and request permission to land.

Permission at Nanjing International Air Port would be granted giving clearance for a landing to the British Delegation who had been enroute.  A trio of cars would greet them and take them to the Imperial Palace for meetings with the Emperor and his advisers.

"Likewise your majesty, it is always good to see friends from Britain. It was one of the firs countries that I knew as a boy, and I have been an admirer of your recent efforts the actions of the perfidious Irish aside.  I hope that we may come to good accord.  I find this World since my return remarkably short on friends and civilized men." Shizi said.

William nodded. "Thank you, your Majesty. I myself have found Tianxia to always been an impressive empire and together with the former Athenian Federation a beacon of liberalism and the rule of law in a much better world. It is my hope that the return of your state may be an indication we are returning to those times and Britain looks forward to assuming its own position in such a world"

The Tianxia Emperor nodded, "Indeed, though I should warn you we do not return with an olive branch but a sword.  The cost of the Empire retreating internally into chaos and squabbles has lead to a much more terrifying world than we could have imagined.  We've seen the rise of many evils we had previously slain.  It is our intention to defend the World's people by strongly reasserting our role in the world."

"I agree completely, this is the approach I myself have taken and will continue to push. While our focus will initially be on protecting the peoples that were once an integral part of our Empire and the people of the European continent my goals is to have such projection globally so all people may once again be able to walk without the fear of war. I believe our goals are not mutually exclusive but rather complementary. By each focusing on certain areas we may together create the world that we seek"

"That would depend, there has in the past obviously been some causes for consternation.  Relations between our two nations have been both very close and very sour over the past few centuries.  We for our part seek material guarentees that Britain is not looking to reassert influence in SE Asia or Central Asia.  We would also seek some accommodation that our interests would be respected in regards to the Pacific and Indian Oceans.  Though that is not to say Britain does not have interests here as well."
