Day Four of Operations in Acre Province was marked with the completion of a quarter of the planned Border Posts. The first communication wires would go in, with them being manned by part of the 1st Jungle Infantry Brigade. The efficient speed of the construction was due to the effort by military engineers being totally focused on this task.

Other projects were under way, with all airports in the Province being refurbished to provide a smoother service for passengers. Plans to introduce TAM Airlines Flights from Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo with further services to Brasilia later would replace the current Military Flights which currently made all capacity.

Day Five of Operations in Acre Province saw the final completion of of the planned Border Posts. The rest of them would be manned by the remainder of the 1st Jungle Infantry Brigade. Security was now in place and air patrols also established in the air space. The final gap had been plugged

There was the winding down of relief programmes and the final aid convoy had arrived. This would be replaced by the regular air and road deliveries of supplies by civilian freight companies. Life was now as normal in any other place the in the Federal State of Brazil. There would be two more days until the Province would formally be absorbed and the final Brazilian Province reclaimed.

Day Six of Operations in Acre Province was marked by the final implementation of civilian administration was now under way, with the Federal Brazilian Military High Command now implementing the Acre Military District Headquarters in the Province Capital Rio Branco.

Tomorrow the Province would join the state and Brazil would be totally whole again.

Meanwhile finally the Invasion of Uruguay began with a simultaneous assault in Three Assaults.

The First Two Assaults were the 1st Marine Division advancing down the coast, plus the 2nd Brazilian Federal Republican Guard Brigade "Brasilia" moving down Highway Five in the central area of the Country. They would both within three hours reach the Capital Montevideo, with simultaneously the 2nd Air Assault Brigade landing on C-130H Hercules Transport Aircraft and C-5B Galaxy Strategic Airlifter Aircraft at Montevideo's two airports. The Two Infantry Brigades already in country on humanitarian operations would now become its garrison.

Public Statements of the Invasion would be made, justifying the invasion to first secure Uruguay's future, plus to deal with residual Militia units and known Militia commanders who had fled Brazilian territory to hide and continue hit and run attacks over the border. In private reality, the number of commanders were not that many and most had been eliminated by the 21st Special Operation Group teams.

The integration of Uruguay into the Federal State of Brazil had begun.

Day Seven of Operations in Acre Province was marked by the final integration and encorporation into the State. The Province Capital Rio Branco exploded in celebration as the Province joined the state. It was the culmination of a sustained campaign against Militia domination of the area and the restoration of a nation. Brazil was totally whole again.

Day Two of Operations in Uruguay was marked by several events. The major one was the sudden post invasion raids by Special Forces against suspected agitators and potential guerilla commanders. Most were made in the countryside, but twenty seven were made in Montevideo with one culminating in a ten minute fire fight leaving the suspect dying in a hail of gunfire. The rest passed without incident.

The area was now under martial law, with soldiers patrolling Montevideo openly carrying weapons. It was a necessary step due to the fact that intelligence was suggesting militia who fled the battles north were ready to again attack Brazilian forces in Uruguay. Time would tell but nothing was being left to chance as Twenty Five Thousand Combat Soldiers were in Uruguay and more would be sent if needed.

Day Three of Operations in Uruguay saw more sudden post invasion raids by Special Forces against suspected agitators and potential guerilla commanders. All of these passed without incident. Thirty Six more suspects were taken into custody for interrogation. The first signs of stability was now being seen as civil servants returned to work. However it would be a while before the Brazilian Government would begin to relinquish their strict hold on things.

However there was some guerilla activity as the security forces came under heavy mortar fire outside the City of Treinta y Tres. A unit of the 16th Infantry Brigade was hit and Four Soldiers were killed. The City was known through intelligence to be under threat by a significant Militia force which had been formed by remnant Militia units which had retreated from Brazilian Territory during the Reunification Conflict.

It was expected that there were at least Six Thousand Militia Fighters scattered all over the country, with a new Large Scale Counter Terrorist Operation expected to clear them from Uruguayan Territory. There was to be a surge of Military Forces to sustain the new upcoming campaign.

Day Four of Operations in Uruguay was something of an anticlimax as the Insurgent mortar attacks on Brazilian Forward Operating Bases had suddenly stopped. However there was no illusions that they had given up. The main concern for the moment was the the City of Treinta y Tres, Treinta y Tres Department.

The City was under complete insurgent control with no significant Brazilian presence and there were a large number of booby traps and IEDs set in place. Additionally, elevated sniper and fortified defensive positions had been created in preparation for a major offensive. Brazilian UAVs observed insurgents conducting live-fire exercises in the City in preparation for the coming attack.

The 1st Marine Brigade had been selected to start the offensive codenamed Operation Swift Justice. It would begin deploying into staging areas north of the City with the 12th Infantry Brigade providing blocking positions on the road south to prevent any major breakout attempt. The offensive would begin the following morning.

Day Five of Operations in Uruguay saw the start of Offensive Operations in the City of Treinta y Tres, Treinta y Tres Department. The 1st Marine Brigade although outnumbered opened up the assault in the early hours with a sweeping attack through the northern suburbs. Resistance by the Militia inside the city which was basically free of civilians who had fled, was fierce.

Air strikes rocked the City as Su-25T Frogfoot Ground Attack Aircraft fired Rockets and dropped Tactical Bombs on Militia positions. Mi-24D Hind D Attack Helicopter and AH-64D Apache Attack Helicopters swooped over adding to the explosions. House to house fighting made progress slow and costly, with the Brigade losing Twenty Six Soldiers in the first day. Plans to commit a Brazilian Federal Army Armoured Brigade on the Third Day of Operations were in advanced stages with a Infantry Brigade being placed in reserve.

Elsewhere there were further Car Bombs against multiple Brazilian Federal Army checkpoints, with seven fatalities and sixteen injured. The Militia had made a propaganda statement calling themselves the South American Liberation Front, pledging to "liberate South America from corruption." The Brazilian Government had labelled it a Terrorist Organisation and had given a Region Wide Warning detailing the threat this organisation was.

However the integration of Uruguay would continue.

Day Six of Operations in Uruguay saw the continuation of Offensive Operations in the City of Treinta y Tres. The 1st Marine Brigade continued their sweeping assault through the northern suburbs. The attack had been slowed by continuous counter attacks by Militia units holding the Parque Dionisio Diaz against multiple attempts to dislodge them. They had to be literally blasted out with a couple well placed Mark 84 2000 Pound Bomb dropped from a Tornado GR1 Multi Role Aircraft which levelled the area. The City was a bubbling cauldron of explosions and fire, with smoke billowing into the sky. Tomorrow the assault would be renewed by the 1st Armoured Brigade which would take over the spearhead and allow the 1st Marine Brigade to regroup.

Elsewhere plans were being made to integrate Uruguay into the Federal State of Brazil tomorrow as a Semi-Autonomous area. It would retain its Flag but would be part of the Overall State, with a status higher than a Province. Montevideo would be given Special Status under a Commissioner for the Semi Autonomous Area of Uruguay. Uruguay on maps would be shown as part of Brazil despite its status. The addition would give the Federal State of Brazil more wealth which was so needed.

Day Seven of Operations in Uruguay saw the integration Uruguay into the Federal State of Brazil. The area would now become an area of Economic Power and a valuable asset to the country. There was still a serious Insurgent Problem, but the economy of the area still was strong despite this. The wealth of Montevideo was a large boost to the Brazilian Economy, providing well needed assets and hard currency. The City's Stock Markets were trading significantly, which was lessening the economic slump which seemed to be looming. It was another major step and triumph for the Brazilian Government.

In the City of Treinta y Tres the 1st Marine Brigade had finally broken through, moving into the central areas. Militia resistance was now weakening as the Brazilian Military superiority now began to tell. The 1st Armoured Brigade had been committed alongside the Marines, their well needed Armour raining hammer blows upon the Militia positions.

Fighting was still fierce though, with the City's buildings bearing scars of combat. The civilian population which had remained was now gone, so restrictions on air strikes had been lifted. The size of munitions had been raised with GBU-28 5000 Pound Bunker Buster Bombs being used to hit multi storey buildings where snipers had made their nests. The City would not be recognizable once the battle was over.
