Some (like my own) don't offer start up aid, but if you stay active you will definitely be rewarded. Also, our inter-alliance tech-dealing is good. I'm sure other alliances are the same. Aid will not do you any good - you will be raided and the cash you are sent will be gone or spent defending yourself. Many alliances offer start up aid, aid programs, etc for participating members. It won't take you two weeks to get into most alliances, but that shouldn't matter anyway. Pick a solid alliance who knows what they are doing and your nation will flourish.
