Do you realize that we really have little desire to be involved in politics on a large-scale? We mind our own business IF left alone. So just do that and we'll have no future problems.
It is laughable to think that a puny unknown 30-man alliance like Aircastle could sully the great name of TOP even a little bit, wouldn't you say?
I wouldn't say that personally, your posts as a member of a "puny, unknown, 30-man alliance" are the exact same size on this forum as mine, as far as I know, that makes our opinions equally heard, on this forum anyway. And as far as I know, TOP never "went after" Aircastle, show me legit proof and I'll eat my words.

I think this was a great decision Vanguard. I support any move that cuts a tie to TOP, even a color treaty.
Come on people, is this the best you can do? Tossing people like this to try and make us look bad? Give me a break, I miss the old days where people like TBB could at least make me smile. This is idiocy at it's best. Bahahaha.

No one is arguing that it's inappropriate for TOP to come to a white peace with Echelon. The disgruntlement is with how TOP has handled it, how they've treated their own side behind-the-scenes, and trying to assume a morally superior and judgmental position that they're demonstrably not qualified to take. If they simply wanted to come to a no-terms solution to the war, then why create a big stink with the OP, tell tales in the public forum, and act like drama queens in the surrender discussion hours before creating this thread?
There are numerous precedents for white-peacing an opponent while your allies want reps. It's a shame that TOP decided to go this route instead.
How have we treated our own side behind the scenes? I'd like to see proof because I see most of the "treating their own side" comments as coming from the "other side". If you can't overcome past transgressions, then there is no honor in this game and their never can be ever again, because no one in this game can say they've always been honorable. Not NPO, not GOD, not MK, not Gramlins, not TOP, not Kevin...ok maybe Kevin

Question for you RailForge, if you don't mind.
Would you rather have us sent Echelon the same terms Polar got, and not be labeled a hypocrite by some random members, or given Echelon light terms and done the right thing, and labeled hypocrites? Put yourself in our position, if you "screw up" once, are you allowed to learn from it without being hypocritical?

If that screen is the only information you're basing your perspective on, your understanding of modern warfare on Bob is woefully naive, and I think it's also pretty definite proof that that at least one of your nine brain cells is seriously considering leaving, but just hasn't told you yet.
We have quite a few more than 4 nations fighting even right now.
I'm basing that off nations in the FAN AA, obviously there are more elsewhere doing "different(lol)" fighting. I just saw 68 nations in peace mode, and NPO saying for them to come out of it and fight.
Yes, one of my brain cells notified me that it planned to jump to Planet Jeff tomorrow night.

Derek, with all due respect, FAN isnt fighting right now, save a few guys. I just checked the "Federation of Armed Nations" Alliance Affiliation. 4 in war, 68 in peace. As of now, they appear to not be - or making an attempt to - come out and fight. I believe that's what NPO means by fighting, actual war mode again, etc

Alright, I propose this. Whether Mr. Sponge has really changed or not is up to him. However, if he has had a change of heart in how he views this game, would he be willing to apologize to those he was oppressive towards during his previous reign(s)? He's never been oppressive to me personally, but I'm sure you'll find people around that feel differently. Just an idea, feed me back here.

Its a change in foreign policy as well as a treaty signing of sorts. Not to mention is good PR. Im sure TOP makes announcements of this sort all the time. Also, I approve of this move, good job guys!
No one in CnG does it and I cant think of their other allies who do.
To my knowledge, although I think I can say safely we do not support nor condone EZI, I know I can say that myself, TOP has never signed a treaty of that sort. I was simply questioning(and I love Athens lol, don't get me wrong), why all these deserve a thread. You're against it, good show, you deserve the respect, but it's much like many announcements I've seen, I'm glad they have their opinions with what is "right", but is it really announcement worthy?
Also, if you didn't get it the first time, NOTHING AGAINST ATHENS lol, a general statement.
