  1. What doesn't make sense is that you have to go all the way to mars just to get sodium!

Sodium probably exists in a much easier to extract form on Mars. On Bob, in order to get hold of sodium one has to perform all sorts of costly reactions. It probably exists in lump form on Mars, since there is less oxygen in the Martian atmosphere. Though, surely the cost of a spaceship would outweigh the cost of electrolysis.

Edit: Well, it might in the CN-Mars.

  2. When you put a soldier on a horse he is stronger and more expensive.

In the home state of the great admin they do it a little bit different, there they put every soldier on a pig so it gets stronger(Like when they are on a horse) and after the fight they slaughter the pig so the army doesn't have to pay for the feeding of their soldiers, which makes them cheaper.

Ah, but what about the cost of feeding the pig? Less than the cost of feeding a soldier, admittedly.

Also, in the age of tanks, jet fighters and nuclear missiles, what good would a pig be? At least with a horse, the horse runs. The pig just stands there, with a soldier mounted on it, doing nothing.

No, I mean no offence to the Great God Admin, but surely this tactic needs some work.

  3. King jftsang of Socialitaria hereby declares, by Royal Decree, the jftsang Doctrine, by which no alliance may reside on any of the spheres (including the notorious alliance None), and all spheres are closed to tech raiders.

ISSUED THIS DAY BY HIS MAJESTY JFTSANG, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, OF SOCIALITARIA, DEFENDER OF THE SOCIALITARIAN CHURCH OF KREMATISM, ORDER OF THE HISSIAN EMPIRE, FIRST ORDER OF SOCIALITARIAN CHIVALRY

Also, I think I might start to ZI people for no reason whatsoever.

(By the way, this is not real.)

  4. imo that should be combined with the 'no one is allowed to leave' rule. That way we'd have to pay back 7Bln and 300k tech while deleting infra to get under the certain score. Great plan imo.

7 billion / 3 million per package = ~2400 packages (assuming "American billion")

    5 packages per nation x 700 nations = max 3500 packages

    Should be manageable ;)

  5. Seriously, get your crap together before declaring existence.

    Use this checklist.

    Forums? Check

    Flag? X

    Protector? X

    Charter? X

Vaguest idea of how to start or run an alliance? X

From some of the details on their site, it does appear that this man has at least some knowledge in gameplay. But:

I am aware of this and we have a forum and were in an alliance before.

I have been in an alliance before (in fact, I am in one now), yet I would not go out, unprotected, into the wilderness that is Planet Bob with an alliance of seven members, the strongest of which not even 5k in strength. You are going to be attacked, sooner or later. I reiterate what I said earlier: do not announce your existence before you have protectors.

I seriously advise, out of sympathy, that you rethink your decision to go independent, at least until you have more support. At the very lowest level, you should have a government and diplomatic relations with an already well-established alliance.

(Most importantly, the extremely poor use of English on their site - never before have I seen such an insult towards the English language - disgusts me.)

  6. I know, it was a tough decision. Haven't had too much trouble with them so far, but I trying to keep my patience.

It appears that the arcade is that which people miss the most.

Admission: I've never actually been on the arcade on the old SSSW18 fora.

  7. Why should they rewrite their charter? That's infringing on their sovereignty a bit too much for my tastes. How they want to run their alliance is their business. Besides, what part of the charter do you want to see taken out/added?

How they want to run the alliance internally is up to them, but I see no reason why Karma, if they should demand a U-turn in their foreign policy should not receive it. After all, the New Pacific Order imposed viceroyalties, which in my view is far greater a demand.

  8. Only 15 nations may be in peace mode at one time.

How do you plan to enforce this, if they all go into peace mode? You can't punish those abiding by the rules for the actions of others.
