  1. Let me say as a member of TGE that I don't believe that we would every host a nation that was a nuclear rogue. We are to honorable for that. For someone to claim that we have that is just TREASON and should be frowned apon. I think good sir GT you have taking this way out of context and should now stop bothering our humble alliance with you attempts to sabotage us. We wouldn't hide a rogue nuke, our doctrine even says we don't use nukes why would we hide one?

Not to say whether TGE actually hid a nuclear rogue or not (I never heard anything about that), but having a doctrine banning the use of nukes =/= not harboring a nuclear rogue.

For someone to claim that we have that is just TREASON and should be frowned apon

As I said before, treason seems to be the word of the day for TGE now. Even the smallest dissenting opinion is suddenly treasonous, it seems.

  2. As far as I am aware Stefan faced no sort of trial, and our judges are good, open minded people. To consider them anything but is disrespectful to our alliance. Stefan faced no penalties, he just left, as did many who thought that instead of helping their beloved Empire in its time of need they decided to leave and post in this ridiculous thread.

I was content to leave this thread be, but you had to bring up my name.

You are correct about one thing, I left of my own free will, my own choice. I was not kicked, there was no trial.

During the short time between when this fiasco became public and when I resigned, I did try to help the Empire move on. In hindsight I was probably going to resign in the end anyway, but that's not the point. I tried to help the Empire move on, but every time I was overruled by the great Vlad Dracula, Chancellor of TGE. Why should I stay to try to help a corrupted Empire when every action I take is overruled?

  3. I resigned because I disagree with the policy decisions the Empire had made and the path it had taken as of recently. That strikes me as the main reason most people resign from their alliances, isn't it? I disagreed with the damnation of our Empress as a lowly traitor, that she had anything but the welfare of the Empire in mind.

I thought about sticking around and trying to help the Empire through this, but when it was insinuated that I might be yet another traitor in this "plot" to overthrow Frederick, my mind was made up.

  4. This bickering back and forth is one reason I resigned as Vice Chancellor from TGE this morning. I don't want to be associated with people who so willingly demonize their own leader as a traitor not a day after hailing and supporting that very leader.

  5. Well then, Vlad, we might as well just declare you Emperor and get it over with. It seems according to the Constitution the Chancellor has more power than the Emperor/Empress, particularly if he can remove his superiors for "any reason he deems to be fit."

  6. I am so tired of seeing old friends, both current and former members of this alliance, at each others' throats because of what has clearly been blown way out of proportion. Neither side is making itself look any more above the fray, let alone right, by participating in this little squabble.

The bottom line is this: Shuru took a course action which she believed to be the correct one. Obviously, Frederick and Vlad saw things another way and now, because of this, she has been damned, demonized, and labeled a traitor. It's despicable.

Perhaps things could have been handled a different way, but if they had, would the outcome be any different? I can't say for sure. But what I can say for sure is how disgusted I am at some members of this alliance. One minute, you praise Shuru for her hard work and dedication to the alliance, and then next you damn her and label her a traitor after reading a single paragraph. I've watched the opinions and the loyalties of select members change before my very eyes every time a new person got up to present an argument.

  7. Perhaps so, but to think that Pacifica won't have some hand in the peace terms if they really want it is absurd.

You misunderstood the announcement. Viceroys are still allowed. It's just more difficult to implement now, as you can't force someone to give you forum access.

Viceroyships as we know them are over, I suppose you could say.

  8. Whether or not a bond between the Orders still exists, I think, will be evident when surrender terms are posted.

If some semblance of a bond still exists, the peace terms will be light. If not, the terms will be as harsh on the defeated Order as they will be on any of the other defeated alliances.

Your quite correct, This war will end like wars always do, Polaris will be given terms, maybe viceroy'd, The ordinance will be restored and friendships will start to heal.

    Admin has outlawed Viceroyships.

  9. Well, that explains everything. No wonder all alliances on Bob are allied together... they're all pawns on the NPO!

    note: pure sarcasm.

Meh, I don't care if it's true or not. It's a nice conspiracy theory one way or the other. But the sad thing is, there's so many theories about the NPO that even if this one or others are true, the sheer number of the laughable theories makes all of them seem laughable.

  10. The signatories should be against perma-ZI because they are against it, not because of foreign pressure to do so. That would be cowardly.

Perhaps the signatories are against the practice, and this treaty is a public representation of the commitment to stop it?

    I fully support this treaty.

  11. It's a breach of security. No breach goes unpunished, and ignorance is not an excuse, and through this post, he's made it abundantly clear what will happen if people try to join when they're not authorized to.

You wander into a military base when you're not authorized to do so, and do you really think they'll let you off with a slap on the wrist?

It's a breach of security that should be fixed. A door has been opened to the softer internal workings of the Order. Instead of leaving that door open, and merely posting a "no trespassing" sign outside of it, the Order needs to close the door, fix the breach of security.

I see this warning as nothing more than an unnecessary display of might.

Pacifica, you need to take responsibility. Atrophis/FAN (whoever you would like to blame) has exposed something, are you just going to leave it exposed? To me, this is akin to telling a kid, "You see that big candy store across the street? Yeah, that's the one. Everything in it is free. You can have all the candy you want.

But if you step through that door you're gonna get shot."

Your leaders need to step up and fix the security holes in their own alliance, instead of relying on everyone else to keep their distance.

  12. Imo, a one-time ZI trip is enough, especially for older nations who've put so much work into their nations. Perma-ZI just destroys the fun of the game. Why play when you know you're never going to be allowed to grow?
