Zealopolis, Zaine - Ardus Dolomus Cadogan I, King of Zaine and Lord of the Viridian Entente was shot and killed while surveying the nuclear-ravaged capital early Monday morning. Following a public address to put down Vox Populi insurgency attempts, Lord Cadogan proceeded to interact with the gathered crowd directly, touching on the necessities of unity, loyalty, and mercy.
"As the title suggests, this is the test of our time. This is the test of just what kind of alliance we are. Are we a band of brothers unbreakable, or are we just another gaggle of nations sharing a name? I ask of you to look into your own hearts and ask what you would do if you were the leader of this alliance. I ask you to look at our own history, our tradition of trying to change the powers of the world by being a friend they can trust, rather than by trying to outright oppose them. I ask you to stand up as one group, publicly, loudly, and tell them, and tell the world, that we are united against all storms. That despite our various backgrounds, despite our differences in beliefs and opinion, we will trust in each other as we always have, and listen to each other as we always have."
While viewing the destruction caused by two nuclear attacks as a result of direct conflict with the Mushroom Kingdom city-state of Antartida, a Vox anarchist managed to approach the Lord through the crowd and proceeded to fire off four bullets, three of them hitting the Lord, with one more hitting and wounding a member of his security detail. The security agent was immediately rushed to a temporary hospital and remains in serious condition.
"He just screamed out sic semper tyranis and then ran away," a witness said. The assassin was later caught and executed by members of the Viridian Vanguard, passing through the city to fight on another front. In the wake of the assassination, the city of Zealopolis has descended into further riots, only fueled further by the continuing nuclear attacks from the Mushroom Kingdom. Zaine Prime Minister Issac Dolomus, acting as de-facto head of state, assured reporters that the assassination would have no affect on the Zaine war effort, but that it could make reconstruction more difficult.
In reaction to the assassination, Duke of the Entente Cornelius of Medius was immediately sworn in as Lord of the Entente while talking with generals at the Medius military headquarters. Viridian Secretary of Defense Aznjons of AnkhMorpork, when reached for comment, could only manage a short statement through tears.
"One of Viridia's finest... and charismatic... sons."
Ardus Cadogan was 23.

I'm just saddened by the deathblow to this treaty that will occur as a result of Vox's participation. I sucked up my pride and added FAN's to it. Vox's self-destructive pursuit of it only solidifies my intent to not further update it before I depart altogether. I fear that the association of ZIPP with the likes of Vox Populi will stain it forever.
I cannot deny anybody from it, but I am by no means obligated to update the original post. You can update the CN wiki with your signatures if you so desire.

Vox Populi has voted to sign this treaty... so:
Signed for Vox Populi
I do not recognize Vox Populi as an alliance, but rather a one-time gaggle of people thrown together that will just as soon disperse.

I'm not sure it would be entirely fair to attribute TOOL's eventual passing of MK to the TOOL Curse.
I disagree. It shows just how powerful the curse really is--if you defy it, it will destroy you.
The Viridian Entente and New Pacific Orders, vehicles of the TOOL Curse since 2008.

VE 2.0 is a dispicable alliance that resembles nothing of the once proud, idependant and honourable alliance VE 1.0, the true Virdia. You have become the monster you once hated, faught against and said that you would never become.
o/ Viridia, Ephirim Grey would be proud of your sucking up
You know the old Viridia was allied to NPO and GGA for a long time, too.

Hello.
Goodbye.

I can't tell which is the ocean and which is the sky.

Gatherum looked at Isaac Dolomus with a mixed expression. He could not help but let free a small gust of air from his nostrils, admiring the simple, yet amusing wordplay directed at Vox Populi. Yet, he recognized the bait that it represented, and thus, he turned away and walked back to the tree and the shade, lowering himself down once more, to watch the commotion from afar.
Since this is OWF: I like you, let's be fwiends.

Cyclon has never been settled so this backstabbing doesn't surprise me. He/She has never been a true Viridian and doesn't even know what it is. I say good riddance!
Yeah, Cylon's been around the block, if you know what I mean.
-
Thank you, John. I don't care about you fighting for your ideals or voicing your opinion, but in the future, vet your resistance groups better. Get yourself a nice Mushroom Kingdom, or perhaps a Nueva Vida, but you're better than Pox.

We weren't planning on sanctioning VE. We have no beef with you.
Well in the spirit of the United Jungle, we're going to do what we can to make sure you don't sanction anybody, not in my backyard.
-
Let's not forget Free Quebec
I don't see how that relates to my post.
-
Ok.
NPO took it upon themselves to use the senate as a weapon against our nations we are responding accordingly. We do like honor but that does not mean we will not defend ourselves to the best of our ability.
If you don't want us screwing with your senate than don't throw your senate at us.
I don't recall the Green Team, a team that has pretty much sworn off of using sanctions in war, using them against you.
Your aim, she needs improving.

Well....I used to respect Echelon. I guess I can cross another alliance off my "Alliances to join if anything happens to MK" list. And I guess I can take the Tela quote out of my sig as well.
Im sure we are overwhelming your allies so much that they need to call in yet another alliance to help them.
That actually kind of hurt a little bit on the inside when you posted it in our thread, but now that you're recycling it I don't feel so unique.
-
Without trying to be rude, why is that? Just the chaos of the war in general?
Well, John Michaels, Cylon, and Candide all left (none of them had been around for long and the latter two were quite sizable, and admittedly we throw out Cylon), as did Billiam, all for Pox. We actually haven't really suffered much damage as a result of direct battle.

I'd welcome VE attacking me. Hopefully ardus.
Don't wait up for me toots. Line of people for me to fight goes out the door.

I like to imagine myself as slim pickens, riding the bomb all the way in, swinging a cowboy hat around above me, screaming "YEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAWWWW!!!"

That wish Andromda loses shall be replaced. That which is broken shall be repaired. The flesh that fails shall be made anew. That is my pact with all Cerebrates.
-
Judging by how much score you lost, I'd say so.
Numbers come and go. I'm willing to bet we have massive growth for next update. It'll be great. I'll be all and you guys will be a combination of and and then people who care about things will be all
-
Well we're boned. Guess we ought to start begging for merciful terms now.

Hmmm, I found this somewhere it's an article from the "V accords" a MDoAP of sorts between VE and NV... which is still active btw:
Now with this being out of my league and all, could you perhaps tell me wtf's going on with this?
Viridia and Nueva talked about the situation prior to the war and agreed with each other that we were still friends, but that there was no way we could both stay out of the war. So, we shook hands, told each other "have fun", and went to go play, agreeing to not hit each other, agreeing that we wouldn't call on one another, and agreeing that we'd look out for each other no matter who came out on top.
-
It is ironic, especially because the one behind the mask is yourself.
Your colleagues in Vox are more creative about this than you are, John. That clocked in as a "FAN" at best on the creative criticism scale.
-
At least I am willing to face my opponents and tell them what I think as opposed to hiding behind a mask and doing their dirty work.
I couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of this, since the primary image of your alliance is a man... hiding behind a mask doing dirty work.

Fixed your quote to reflect what VE members should be thinking right now.
They'll think whatever they want to think. They don't need help from people like you.

The above poster is not, in fact, me. Also, I'd have been merciless.
Also, lol, no matching nation.
