  1. What the hell guys? Was a good fight, shake hands and enjoy the destruction.

About the dirty ops. I got blockaded and retaliated with spy ops. Didn't mean to get everybody involved. Ursus and me would've just had our own thing, but everybody needed to jump in. That's how that happens. So, if anything, DDs started it. But who cares now? It was a nice war. I enjoyed myself.

  2. So, I don't know. there were 15 people more in those alliances. I know we even went through them and looked how many people were actually strong. And yeah, we couldve gotten 9 people to sign up and join TDO with zero ANS and bring down our AA ANS, but what's the point? We did really try to make it fair. And yes, it is hard to find AAs with enough Strength to go against. And I don't see us ruining anybody's round, since you were all pretty strong before this war. In any case, sorry if it wasn't. Far from me to $%&@ over new players. Actually quite happy to help out with that.

  3. I understand now why this is so easy, thinking coordinating is being a sissy. Good stuff. If only half the people have 2 wars, you didn't do a great job planning this war. We are defending, you should make sure everyone has at least 3. That's entirely on you. And yeah, a nuke knocks everyone into anarchy. I feel like you're kinda new to this and have no idea of how this game works. I mean, you could ask for help. Always happy to explain some things. Or you could complain about people being better than you. Up to you.

  4. Had no idea this was revenge. The things you find out in these threads... I remember the stats were pretty even in the Happy Playtime war as I've looked at ANS and NS of all alliances involved before we went to war. I agree though that we should've posted stats, I have no idea why that didn't happen.

Anyhow this kinda sounds like a whole lot of people complaining about the alliance, that happens to be the most active, thus most successful. I have no earthly idea why Caz brought up the stats or that this was in any way unfair myself, but let's forget it and fight. Don't think it is unfair. Could've signed on a few other alliances as well, to be honest.

  5. Oh Swazz has started something again. This is just beyond amazing. Didn't learn when he spent all of last round barely getting by after the destruction he earned himself when he decided hitting us and talking crap was a fantastic idea. Good stuff.

This thread is wildly entertaining and I encourage everyone to keep it going.

And I can't believe I'm gonna type this, but in this case:

  6. my concept of the gentlemen's agreements...

    1. don't do dirty spyops or blockades unless you're okay with getting spied or blockaded yourself.

    2. if an alliance declares war on you and asks for a "clean war" without econ ops or blockades, accomodate them.

    3. if you use spyops and blockades as a first strike in the war, and then !@#$%* on it on the forums when it happens to you, you are raid meat for the rest of the round.

    4. remember that most people here screenshot everything

    5. remember that most people here save IRC logs too

    6. "talk !@#$, get hit" is very much in effect.

    7. don't turtle during war if you have a warchest

    8. don't declare on someone until they've had a week out of war; people have friends here and friends like to help turn your nation into a crater.

    9. do not rogue formal alliances.  formal alliance is hereby defined as "an alliance that a. has 6 or more members (enough for 1 complete TC) and b. has posted a DoE on the OWF

    10. if you are an alliance leader, instruct your alliance's members not to launch rogue wars.  if you don't you risk forfeiting your right to at least 7 days of peace after a war.

    11. if you are an alliance leader and you fail to keep your AA's members from roguing, throw the rogue under the bus.  otherwise, we drive the bus over you, too.  ask USSR.

    12. Lord Hitchock is, from now on, barred from using the letters "a", "e", "i", "o", and "u" from his ruler name or nation name.^^

    ^^ What he said

  7. Ahhh, i loved Krabz. Just a fun alliance to be in. Had some good rounds. But if you can't manage it properly, it's better to disband and find new homes. Personally made my way back to the roots, which is TDO for me. Hope to see everyone on the battlefield under my new flag as well (which is, let's not lie, not as glorious as the Krabz flag)

  8. I enjoyed this war, thanks to all who participated and special thanks to Citadel for keeping wth the no dirty spy ops. Not that you needed any, that first nuke already stopped me in my tracks pretty harshly :D

Even got one of those rare draws this war. Have not seen that before for myself.

I am now tasked with rebuilding my nation from the ashes. Hope you all have a good rebuild and we will meet on the battlefield again, same side or other.

  9. Currently, this round has been more interesting and fun than many recent others. Activity is up which is good for everyone.

Most know and some will disagree with my stance, but I prefer to use every option available in the game mechanics.

In our recent Krabz war we chose to be flexible and agreed to not nuke Krabz - well what good did that do for us in RE? Was it a PR win? Perhaps but we still seem to be despised so perhaps it wasn't worth the PR effort. In hindsight I should never of agreed to that and we should have burned them down.

It got them off easy, and allowed them to build further with XP. They should have thanked us lol! Now they're on the world stage still in what seems to be one of the biggest world wars we've had in TE - this early on at least. Good for Krabz and more power too them, but strategically it would have made more sense for RE to have taken them down when the opportunity was there - but we decided to play nice.

See we're not so bad and evil are we?

My point is, CNSE is the place for treaties and niceties etc. Here is war, war, war and what ever other dirty trick you can muster behind the scenes to win and overthrow your opponents. Doing "the right thing" in the eyes of some in reality did a disservice to RE. Krabz came out stronger than they otherwise would have been, simply because we let it happen.

You didn't agree to not nuke us. We peaced out before you could.

As to the topic, I don't know if there will be as much drama, if we don't have any gentlemans agreement. If we don't, what do people complain about? You might be removing the very thing that causes drama.

Also, let' just play through a round like that: Day 7. As there are limits to how much better you can be as a nation compared to others on day 7, the biggest alliances would surely have the advantage and would start off by killing off small alliances for easy XP and then fight it out against the other big alliances later. In that case, of course treaties would happen. Anyone in a small alliance with half a brain would get themselves some support. Since the nature of the game changed, those wouldn't last, so you couldn't be a small alliance in this game for long, so those would slowly die out, leaving you with 2 or 3 big alliances all players would go to. I don't know if that makes things more or less interesting. My guess is on less.

I agree that the breaking of the gentlemens agreement led to a lot of activity and that is surely fun. If we had more of that (although, we had an awful lot of it now), that would be great. Maybe some middle ground could be found, where we avoid killing small alliances but still get the benefit of the added drama. Who doesn't like some of that?

  10. I want more TE wars that require graphs and webs to describe.

And when the dust settles, let's everyone rebuild, and then when it's time to throw down everyone should jump on,in,around, down whoever they need to.

    Sure this is nice.

Agreed, this almost world war is a lot of fun.
