I have to give it to Monsters Inc, at least they are willing to consistently fight what they believe is the good fight whether it is the right thing to do or not. New Polar Order was well within their rights to cancel their protectorate treaty which they did, however I wonder how many within the alliance would have wanted to do the same thing and defend the action.

It is probably regarded as poor form to use sanctions during war, but when if you think about it, it should probably be done more often. Sanctions are tactics. If you are at war you better be sure you have some control of the Senate in the color team where you reside. Find a different color sphere like Blue where this would most likely not happen.

Dear God, you don't seem to get it, either. I can't type any more slowly, so let me try saying it one more time:
1. You don't get to selectively attack alliance members and not be at war with the alliance. To say otherwise is just stupid.
2. Announcing in advance that a policy will be selectively applied smacks of opportunism and cowardice. If the announcement had said "except our allies" or "this only applies to unaligned nations or alliances we don't like" then at least it would have been honest. No less ridiculous, but honest.
It has been about 24 hours since the Imperial Decree and you are making assumptions as to how it will be carried out. Only we will dictate how, when, and against whom. How alliances respond to it is their business. That statement is clear in the Imperial Decree. That statement covers your point. If alliances view it as war on their entire alliance then so be it. We do not view it that way, but if an alliance recognizes a state of war with us because we attacked one of their nations for aiding DBDC, then so be it.

You ask what my problem is "with Polar saying [you] will hit nations who support [DBDC]." I say I have absolutely no problem with this, but that is not what your Emperor has put forward.
You think nations are behaving aggressively? Hit them. Hit them as hard as you possibly can.
Don't say "We're going after nations, not alliances" as your foolish Emperor has. You hit one nation in an alliance, you hit all of them. That is how the world works; something your leader apparently forgot.
And for God's sake, don't announce that you're going to be selective about it. Hit none of them -- or be selective about it -- and your Emperor's statement is meaningless; a bit of fluff for consumption by those like yourself.
Am I clear now? I'm calling your Emperor someone who lacks the courage of his convictions and hides behind weasel words and threats that aren't really threats after all. That you and your alliance-mates have bought into this cowardly foolishness is mind-boggling.
But hey....Hail Polaris! Keep those strongly-worded letters coming!

It works in both directions kingzog. You aid one nation that is at war with Polar and you are not just aiding a war against an individual Polar nation, you are aiding a war and committing an act of war against all of Polar. Now, as Emperor Dajobo stated, how alliances respond is their business.

Perhaps a change in the narrative is in order. The puppet meatshield thing never really works anyway even when it is sold much better than this. And those pushing the good evil or moralist line are about 5 years behind the times. Time to go back to the psyops drawing board and try again.
Tywin is pushing good evil civilized uncivlized lulzist haute etc. Granted he is an NpO member so his words are being applied as NpO policy, however, those are his words and his feelings on things. The fact of the matter is we had zero issue with DBDC or Doom Squad. Zero issue with DBDC even with their raids on our nations. We have no use for them and they have no use for us. They cannot enter and defend us for longer than a week and if they did hit enemy nations it would be a handful of nations. Likewise, we cannot enter and defend them as nations declaring on them will likely be too big for us to even declare wars on. We rather focus on allies and alliances where we both have an equal opportunity to work together in peace and in war. Now, with SNX being attacked we do have an issue. An issue that will be resolved over the next weeks/months as this war continues to escalate. As Emperor Letum stated before, we/NpO made choices. The beef is with us so war should have been declared on us. The case could have simply been that NPO is 0-1 in Wars of the Orders and wants to even the score. That is my take on it. Right or wrong it is my take, however, I understand that hitting SNX is a means to an end for your side. Instead we are all beating a dead horse about what is what. The war has started and we all have to make moves. There can be no criticism of who enters when and who they are entering for but I am sure that will soon be the next horse to get beaten. Do your best for your side when your nation/alliances gets the call and hope your Nukes land and your SDIs thwart.

You aren't explaining the logical consistency behind why you think that *this* specific coalition is composed of master-puppet relationships and is reprehensible but any previous coalition that has done the exact same thing is just fine.
The world expects more from an Order. Following a tech farm to war is unbecoming of an Order.

By no means do I dispute your right to "do something about it" as it were. I would question it's efficacy, as in this case your choices have resulted in a lot of the people that felt maligned last war being pushed straight into doomsphere's embrace (and as a consequence, drawing on their allies, such as NPO). The choices of some of your allies also resulted in a similar consequence for other major groups in this world. The end result is a rift running through cn that is about a whole host of issues that can't be narrowed down to how you feel DBDC are the big baddies.And in that context, perhaps a better strategy would have been some very extensive diplomacy around the world rather than whatever you had planned. (Which I'm not quite sure what it was, given the rather glaring difficulty of an upper tier disparity). Maybe it would have managed something more. Maybe it would have also failed miserably. Who knows.But that didn't happen, and we all are where we are.
Emperor Letum, can you identify/explain the choices we/NpO made that caused alot of people to feel maligned last war being pushed into doomsphere's embrace? Can you also identify/explain the choices of NpO allies made that resulted in similar consequences for other major groups in this world? -

There is no dissension in regards to dropping the Monsters. As far as the greater political game, that is something that may happen over time, however, I am confident the Monsters will not be the ones leading the way.
