  1.

It appears that some members they can brag and post screenshots of a player being banned from CN. However, when I merely mentioned that he was banned in another thread I was threatened with warning points within 22 minutes of posting.

Well this should totally help your cause.

  2. Again, another reason you should join an AA.  They will have a constant supply of buyers since newer nations are RARE.  Also, some AAs have aid programs to help build before doing tech deals.

They also provide more up to date learning guides.  You can search the forums but most will be out of date.

    http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/843-nation-building-guide/

I know that is old but it might help you a bit more than asking random questions.  At least it will guide you through most things.

  3. Well...

First you need a buyer.  That buyer will send you 6mil or 9mil (if you have a FAC)

After you accept and 10 days go by that aid will expire and you will purchase 100 tech in increments of: 4.5, 10, 10, 5, 10, 10, 10, 10, 5, 10, 10, 5.5 (also, make sure you have this tech bought when you collect)

After purchased you will go to that persons nation page and at the top you will see a tab that says Aid.  You click that and offer him the 100 tech you purchased.

    The reason behind tech deals:

    1. cheaper for the buyer to purchase tech from you than on his own.

    2. will help you grow much much quicker

Look up guides on infra jumping when you start to get tech deals constantly flowing.

  4. TECH DEALS.  SELL TECH.

You can do that without joining an AA.  Just go to the black market part of the forum and let people know you are selling tech for 6mil/100 or 200 tech whichever.  After you get enough infra to sustain yourself then you can stop.  Also, go to the trading harbor (another part of this forum) and start a thread.  Also, look around in-game for nation within your color and request a trade.  Anything is better than nothing at this point.  You can also send messages to bigger nations in-game and ask if they want to do tech deals.

The likely-hood of you surviving at your NS without an AA is highly unlikely but to each is own.  I would recommend, like the rest of these people in here are recommending, you find an AA and learn the ropes for at least 2 or 3 months.  A lot of AA's have great nation building guides for economy or warfare and i suggest you learn them.  After you learn what you need to know and do not want to be in an AA then move on and go independent.  At least in the AA you will have protection, constant aid from tech deals, and be able to grow with good guides.  Also, AAs are good to find trade circles that will last longer than a day or 2.

  5. Your alliance fought against MQ/DBDC and most recently fought an aggressive conflict entirely for their benefit, are you saying people don't change?

I wish you would change and stop posting but I guess people never do change.

    :smug:

Edit: Forgot that sweet smiley face.

  6. You're missing the point, I think. As far as I can tell, it's not about winning or losing to WTF. It's about maximizing the cost that DBDC (and especially Cuba) will pay for their attacks. In 49 days, Cuba went from 82.5k tech to 68.1k while constantly receiving 100 tech aid packages and stealing tech in GAs he can virtually never lose because of his land. Considering how large of a nation Cuba has and all of the mechanics help to ensure he will do more damage by a wide margin, WTF is succeeding in what I perceive to be their goal. Does that mean they're "winnning"? No, but I don't think I've seen anyone from WTF discuss winning.

98% of WTF turtled.  He only got GA wins off the initial assault.  Again, 14k tech compared to 70k+ he dished out is of no comparison.  WTF is almost out of people to stagger him and when that happens he goes back to gaining tech while WTF has to constantly worry about nations that go above the top 250 line.  I think they have far exceeded in losing than Cuba has but again each person is going to see a win and loss differently.

I do applaud WTF for their consistency and tenacity in throwing every able and willing body at Cuba and DBDC but it will all be in vain.

  7. As far as I can tell, WTF is succeeding in their goals. Not only have they have managed to consistently cause enough damage to Cuba for the past 49 days that his incoming tech/donations/GA wins are not enough to increase his tech levels, they've destroyed 14.4k of his tech. He has lost roughly 260 days worth of incoming tech so far. That's a pretty impressive accomplishment fighting against the strongest nation in the game with the second highest amount of tech. Yes, he's done *far* more damage to WTF than they've done to him. Their damage is spread across X nations, they can rebuild their tech X times faster than he can. They are also not the type to use their nation size to declare war on whoever they feel like whenever they feel like, so the damage done to Cuba is far more important to his foreign policy than theirs is.

As for ODN's shenanigans and threats, I'd almost buy the "throw away comment by random member".. if their gov immediately corrected his statement in the embassy. I don't have an account on WTF's forums so I'm not sure if they did or not.

Well seeing as most of his tech was lost while fighting a 67k tech nation (who is 24k tech now?) and a nation that came out of inactive mode that had over 50k tech.  I would say that losing 14k tech and dishing out upwards to 70k tech in damage is pretty good but who am I to talk I am a scrub nation.

CT has lost about 2 years worth of tech.  Not including the 70k worth of land that he lost.  I again think Cuba won out on that as well but back to DBDC losing because an alliance finally stood up and fought longer than a week.

  8. God what a pointless discussion, yes let's argue about how to prevent something from occurring that already occurred months ago

The gigantic circlejerk at the top are never going to attack each other, the champions you seek are cowering in the corner, the grand coalition you imagine will never form. There is no hope nor is there any point in trying.

Not with that negative attitude sir.

  9.

Players that literally do nothing? What is the point?

The point is they get to grow their nation on their own terms without the fear of one day waking up to see their nation destroyed and of course to still donate monies to Admin :ehm: .  Also, how is what they do to gain NS any different then what you do to gain NS?.... NS IS NS....  If they want to sit in neutrality shouldn't they be given that option?  How would that impact your daily CN life?

Just because you wouldn't do it doesn't mean we should take the option away from other players.  As eviljack just said "This is about player retention".  Seriously, we need ways to keep players.  If nations wanted to use neutrality for 90-days to build up their nation and come out afterwards to war then wouldn't we all enjoy that?

HAHA what Cuba should have added: If someone leaves a neutral alliance before the 90-days and does not join another neutral alliance within 10-days they can be attacked and not attack back in defense.  Now that would have been awesome.

  10.

Thank you for confirming Non Grata's character for all to see. I guess this means the NG community condones dishonor and agreement-breaking.

I would like to reiterate this again.  Your family members, Cersei Lannister and Jaime Lannister, have sexual intercourse with one another.  Would this not be the ultimate disrespect and dishonor?  Your words are meaningless because you live in a dishonorable family.  Good Day Sir.

  11. Reapers no, Geth maybe.

In any case the picture in OP is a poor comparison. DBDC has not existed in realms preceding our own, wiping out all life. DBDC is simply a top tier annoyance taking advantage of weak physics. In comparison to the civilization, history and order of the treaty web, DBDC is definitely barbarian in nature, and this is reflected in the motley collection of satellites and riff-raff comprising their lower tier allies. DBDC is the final gasp of lulzism which has not yet been extinguished like all the others.

    Dear Lannister,

Your kids, Cersei and Jaime, BANG EACH OTHER.....  NUFF SAID!!!!

  12. Only a reasonable person would conclude that at a certain point, the level of investment required for a younger nation to reach the 'top' exceeds a sane level. Newcomers aren't interested in investing years of effort into obtaining even a fraction of the strength of DBDC, and meeting their membership requirements is definitely something that requires years of effort. I definitely don't blame anyone that looks up to them, but I have better things to do than stargaze.

How is this any different than joining an MMO where 90% of the community is max level?

How many times has the top nations changed since you have played this game?

Why should this time be any different?

Everyone playing this game, minus the newcomers, know how to take DBDC down a peg.  The only problem from the past and now is that none of you have any balls left and are pixel hugging your groins.

I mean some of you invested many years into this game and for some reason continue to invest time so why should that deter away a newcomer to invest that much time?

I mean being a semi-newcomer myself i actually enjoy slowly growing and having the options of different wonders.  I think it would be much more boring sitting around and WAITING for a wonder to come out than actually being able to purchase them every month.

Also, isn't stargazing the main reason you aspire to get to those levels?  You need some sort of inspiration in order to have things to achieve.  Isn't that the point of MMOs? To be the best and when you see the best you want to grow to beat the best.

  13. You get it, congratulations.

If more people did what RIA did, then being in DBDC wouldn't be a whole lot of "fun".  As for your case, I've spoken with several nations in the top 250 that have been raided multiple times by DBDC.  Once they figure out you are a good source of land and tech, you guarantee return visits.  Yes, fighting back means you lose several months (probably a lot more) of nation development, but what's the alternative? Buying knee pads and some lip balm?  Being a farm for raiders is no way to live.

OOC: And sadly some people are instead deleting rather than fighting or putting up with the harassment..."good riddance" say some of you, but the fact is that this game depends upon people who sort of sit on the sidelines and simply nation build just as much as it depends on the other half that are associated with politically active alliances.  People who nation build are eyeballs on screens looking at the ads that help support the game and they invite friends to join who do the same, and that doesn't even begin to address the revenue that Admin gets from them through donations.

Could another alternative be that they just like to war?
