No, Non Grata brought them into this. I was fine with suspending my tech deals with them for the duration of the war with NG and that was the plan. Also funny how when who's exercising their right to attack those doing business with someone at war changes when the smaller side is doing it.

If you were fine with suspending the tech deals and that was the plan then why did it happen? Your inability or unwillingness to ensure that happened brought them into the war.

Non Grata bringing me more allies in this war with their aggressive policy helped me out, so guess it really doesn't matter to me. Although if this war lasts long enough, maybe I will start hitting those who do tech deals with Non Grata to disrupt their tech flow and show them I can do it to.

The delusions you have about your ability to truly impact that alliance is just stunning.

I highly recommend each powercluster of alliances to begin to "seal off their borders". Tell those on the fringes of your web, you're either with us or you're against us. Give them a set date to cut ties with those outside the designated list of allies or be cut off themselves. How many "teams" would that make? 5? 6?

Those refusing to commit to any one metablock would be torn asunder, feed stock for the others.

That would clear up the web quick.

    Capital idea.

Despite what logic and the context of our downgrade with NPO might lead you to believe, the truth is that the SOS treaty was far from the only reason, and not the biggest either though I understand why you might think otherwise. On the subject of the reasons for the downgrade, however, I will say no more.

I respectfully request that you (and others) not talk of things that you know nothing about. I also respectfully request that you not insult the ally of your ally in their own birthday thread.

    Thank you very much. :)

I respectfully request that you realize that regardless of your argument against how significant it was, you conceded the point that it was at the very least among the contributing factors, thus my opinion evidently wasn't as clueless as you made it out to be. I also respectfully request that you not take my post seriously as an insult.....it was a joke with no ill wishes meant towards you or the SOS brigade, the correct response looked something like this: :lol1:

    Thank you very much. :)

Polar cancelled a treaty as opposed to accepting a downgrade. The New Polar Order has strong leadership. I would expect any self-respecting alliance to reject a treaty downgrade. To see Pacifica take this downgrade (on the chin) is a testament to how far they have fallen.

They say pride goeth before a fall, but man, how much pride do you forfeit before your ranks rise up and demand strong leadership?

Bro once again im gunna have to point out that I think you misunderstand who the initial party is who wanted the downgrade.

Downgrades should be straight cancellations by the alliance subjected to the proposal. In this 'study,' Alliance A will be Invicta, and Alliance B will be Pacifica.

Alliance A: "Hey man, I would like to downgrade our treaty, bro. It's politically expedient for me to do so, seein' as you all o' sudden ain't so cool with the rape gangs runnin' da' streets, an' what not!"
Alliance B: "Oh. I see. Well, you're welcome for all of the hard work my soldiers have put in on your behalf."
Alliance A: "Naw dawg, we still be wantin' you to protect us, but we ain't be willin to protect you, snoop!"
Alliance B: "Oh, a one-way alliance, where-by we protect you by proxy, and you are not obligated to come to our defense."
    Alliance A: "Zactly, yo!"

Cancel the treaty, never accept a downgrade. It's a bigger insult than nuke roguery...

I believe you have mislabeled your A's and B's in this case.

Because everyone is retarded and scared of not being tangled up in it. Also apparently not being tied to the treaty web makes you a rogue in the viewpoint of most senators if you end up in a fight, even though its viewed as fine to attack alliances without treaties. If someone doesn't have themselves tied into the treaty web, they get to be treated as a rogue as the senators take whatever the ones requesting the sanction say at face value, even if the ones requesting the sanction actually started the fight.

So the main reason is that most of the bigger alliances try forcing other alliances to tangle themselves up in it as well, or be victimized by tech raids and sanctions.

All roads lead back to the grotesque crime being committed in the case of Methrage v Non Grata....our collective hearts weep.
