  3. I currently do no have any border walls because I thought that I would lose money getting them. I was reading the forums and I saw some discussions on them so I decided to do some calculations on them.

    Currently I have:

    • Population: 75,219
    • Tax Rate %30
    • Taxed amount per person: $111.00 (roughly)

    Assumptions:

    • The +1 environment is negligable (I already have a high environment rating so it is negligable to me, maybe not to everyone)
    • One happiness point is worth roughly $4.15 (I'm not 100% on this, if anyone else truely knows then please let me know)

    1 border wall -2% population, +2 happiness

    2 border wall -4% population, +4 happiness

    3 border wall -6% population, +6 happiness

    4 border wall -8% population, +8 happiness

    5 border wall -10% population, +10 happiness

    1 border wall: New population: 73,714, Amount Loss: $166,986

    All of this and I lose population which means my army is also smaller. I guess maybe I'll save some money there also. As well as I know I don't account for environment.

    Still, this is pretty useless. I crunched the numbers and if it was a happiness bonus of 3 instead of 2, that would make it well worth everyones time. Otherwise it is slightly useless.

    If my calculations are right then maybe someone could mention this to the admin.

  4. I'm sure most people know that the government positions effect a nation's happiness. I was trying to do some calculations of how happiness is effected. If other people could post their sample data, then maybe we can figure it out.

    Some things I would like to determine:

    Is the happiness bonus a static number or does it change based on your actions. Ex: If you are anti Nuclear Weapons research and then have Nuclear Weapons does that decrease your happiness?

    Do different combinations of positions create different happiness bonuses?

    My findings: (Position 1, means that is what I have chosen, 0 means the opposite :)) (Happiness, I just used 0 as the base and then anything lower I made negative...obviously it could be the opposite)

  5. I'm trying to calculate how many citizens I should have based on how much Infrastructure I own. I read somewhere in the forums that there is a base of 7.5 citizens per one infrastructure and then you multiple that by your modifiers. My calculations are coming up short. Here is what I have:

    Infrastructure: 2,999.99

    Base Citizen Count: 7.5

    Total: (2,999.99 x 7.5) = 22,500 citizens.

    Modifiers:

    Cattle: +5%

    Fish: +8%

    Pigs: +4%

    Sugar: +3%

    Wheat: +8%

    Clinic: +2% x 5 = +10%

    Hospital: +6%

    So, 22,500 x (1.05) x (1.08) x (1.04) x (1.03) x (1.08) x (1.10) x (1.06) = 34,253

    My actual citizen count is 34,960

    I believe I'm missing two factors in this equation. One is environment (Which I currently have 5 stars) and the other is the number of citizens that you start out with (if any).

    If anyone can help me out with this, that would be great :)
