  1. I'm not blaming anybody for the decline of Planet Bob or the Decline of TPF.   NPO and other major play-it-safe alliances aren't necessarily bad; they're just the embodiment of taking things safe, jeopardizing nothing, and going through the motions.

Life on Planet Bob has involved going through the motions for years now.  For both the dominant and the demolished, even warfare has become a rote, joyless yearly practice; a short period of mildly-boring  formulaic “fighting” followed by months and months of sheer tedium while preparing for the next predictable and increasingly uninspired dust-up.   It doesn’t matter which side of the curb our nations are on.  It’s just a different kind of tedium we deal with.  Planet Bob is a calcified, shambling corpse.   If the predictable and bland modern life on Planet Bob doesn’t have your citizens contemplating pulling-the-plug on their life-support, I commend you.

I liked being a ruler of my nation for several years, maybe from 2007-2011). This "use-my-warchest-to-harass-NPO-on-my-way-out" is my love letter to the old Planet Bob and a middle-finger to what it has become.  I'd love to see this sort of exit become a tradition.

Someday, the Gods of Planet Bob may finally throw their hands up and perform a planetary mercy-killing. I'm not sticking around for it.

  2. It just so happens that those people are filled with just the right amount of salt and spite to come around once a day (or so) and convert those funds we've built for a day that will never come into vengeance.

That's me!     Running my country has for years been a rote, dull affair, punctuated by predictable and mechanical "warfare."  The choice to leave is between a whimper (going inactive and letting the warchest expire) or a bang (spending the warchest down with one last lingering round of predictable and mechanical "warfare").  It's not much of a bang, but Planet Bob hasn't seen a real "bang" of a war in years.

  3. I'm at 3230 days.  6 Years since Karma!?  Man, that was the last major war that even approached being epic!

God, it just hit me! CN is like a tired marriage and the major conflicts are like sex!  It started off hot and heavy, never knowing when a war might happen.  There was passion!  The mood could strike anytime.   Now, the yearly Planet Bob dust-up is predictable like clockwork and the actual conflicts are uninspired and going through the motions.

  4. The New Polar Order would like to take this moment to inform TPF we are sorry that a few people managed to get trigger happy with nukes towards TPF. As TPF has shown great resolve to keep this war with them conventual versus nuclear like some of TPF's allies.

We are taking action to resolve this and to remind our folks that nukes will only be fired at those nations that have chosen to fire at NpO. Thus, with talking with TPF and coming to terms with them we have agreed that those nations of TPF that got nuked shall be authorized to send 1 relatiation strike of nukes to seach of the nations that have nuked them.

Those nations that have nuked any of the above nations will not be authorized to return fire from those attacks. I have also sent out reminders to our members of NpO's nuclear policy, and hope that it doesn't happen again.

I would also like to take this time to remind our fellow New Polar Order members that nukes are only authorized on the nation that nuked you!!.

Our sincere appologies to those of TPF that have recieved a nuke from a NpO member.

    Myworld,

    NpO Minister of Truth

As one of those TPF nations nuked by a NpO rogue, I appreciate the response. However, as a non-nuclear-capable nation I am unable to fulfill the eye-for-an-eye edict. Because of this, the rogue nation in question will, in effect, still benefit militarily from the rogue activity.
