    Basic announcement... protectorate agreement - no need for elaboration. Just making this official on OWF.

     

     

    SNAFU - Sandstorm Protectorate

    For mutual benefit, SNAFU and Sandstorm have entered into a Protectorate Agreement effective until further notice.  

    I. Sovereignty and Behavior

    SNAFU and Sandstorm shall recognize the sovereignty of both alliances in this pact.

    SNAFU and Sandstorm shall be in a state of non-aggression for the duration of this pact.

    SNAFU and Sandstorm shall be in a state of amity for the duration of this pact.

    II. Aid, Intelligence, and Protection

    The alliances of SNAFU and Sandstorm agree to aid and defend each other against outside aggression.

    The alliances of SNAFU and Sandstorm agree to coordinate and share relevant information about the safety of the two alliances.

    This treaty also permits an optional-only attack agreement should one of the signatories initiate a state of war with a third party. There is no mandatory mutual attack agreement in place.

    III. Interior Policy

    Both alliances shall retain complete sovereignty in regards to their respective interior policies.

    IV. Exterior Policy

    Both alliances agree to warn the other 24 hours before committing to a major foreign policy agreement with a third party.

    SNAFU is given veto powers over any Sandstorm foreign policy action that can be reasonably shown to threaten the safety of the SNAFU alliance.

    V. Withdrawal and Review

    Cancellation of the pact by any party grants a 72 hour grace period by both parties to both parties before the cancellation comes into effect.

    SNAFU and Sandstorm shall regularly review this agreement to check the need and validity of a Protectorate agreement based on Sandstorm’s size and need for protection.

    I'm always a fan of someone else doing work.

     

    One thing I will say is that the focus on NS wasn't the best gauge.  If people still haven't realized that yet, I dunno.  Focusing on the TOP front, it doesn't make sense to have a nation with say 11k tech and no wc lumped in with those with decent wc's and 20k tech because the infra makes them look similar in NS.

     


    Of course, I'm just putting numbers out for one side of one front, someone should feel free to do the same for the others. But either way, if someone picks this up going forward, watching tech instead of just NS would be good.  After all those tech levels were one of the things viewed as unbalanced, or something.

     

     

    Absolutely. 

     

    Additionally, the total carnage done to the lower tech nations is higher relative to the NS (i.e. the lower tech nation at the same 20k NS as a nation with 3x his/her tech will lose most BR's & GA's... and CM's & Nukes do less damage).  So the effect on rebuilding is more severe on the lower tech nation in terms of warchest lost. 

     

    Edit: maybe a tech/infra ratio number instead?

    Edit: SNAFU was assigned RD as our target, and we took care of business. The other AA's of this coalition had their own assignments, but we are part of the coalition so it is absolutly appropriate for HDSupreme to group us in with the proclamation.

    I've got to admit I've kinda been thinking the same thing...

    Edit: but, I didn't think of the donation thing. I doubt admin would do that.

    Now, here's a scenario: what if if it is down 26 days after the round started? Will those peeps who were gonna collect on day 20 get deleted?
