  1. This thread does indeed bring back memories. Im at page 3 now, lets see how the drama unfolds !

And "hi" to all of my former coaLUEtion comrades and "hi" to the eternal enemy like Dilber :jihad:

    edit:

Im through now, and all I can say is "this thread is simply amazing and so freaking hilarious". Its also good to see at least some of the older players are still around.

  2. What if we don't sign the NAP? You offering it means you can't attack us for attacking you making you a possible tech farm. By attacking back you violate your terms of Unilateral neutrality.

Thats a complete misinterpretation of the NAP concept and if you honestly meant what you write I hope you never sign any NAPs.

This sounds pointless. Wait...I think that's because it is.

As is your comment in this thread, or maybe not because I actually quoted it?

Why cant people just leave the small guys alone. Do clashing ideologies always have to be crushed by military force? Can people not simply offer critique to actually HELP them improve, like  Scalare  did?

I've been talking for the past week about how large my e-peen was going to be since I'd be the first to buy this (admittedly weak) wonder

Why you be stealing my thunder? :((

    Also:

    :(

EDIT: Preemptive "no, GV is not really mad at Old Guard or Ozlund, being ex-Citadel.gov" here :P

Who are you and what do you want in my thread ?

    The Prelude

The year 1866 A.M. (after Mogwai) was signalised by a remarkable incident, a mysterious and puzzling phenomenon, which doubtless no one has yet forgotten. Not to mention rumours which agitated the maritime population and excited the public mind, even in the interior of continents, seafaring men were particularly excited. Merchants, common sailors, captains of vessels, skippers, both of Q and the Citadel, naval officers of all countries, and the Governments of several alliances on the thirteen Spheres, were deeply interested in the matter.

For some time past vessels had been met by "an enormous thing," a long object, spindle-shaped, occasionally phosphorescent, and infinetly larger and more rapid in its movements than a whale or GDI Mammoth Tank.

The facts relating to this apparition (entered in various log-books) agreed in most respects as to the shape of the object or creature in question, the untiring rapidity of its movements, its surprising power of locomotion, and the peculiar life with which it seemed endowed. If it was a whale, it surpassed in size all those hitherto classified in science. Taking into consideration the mean of observations made at divers times - rejecting the timid estimate of those who assigned to this object a length of two hundred feet, equally with the exaggerated opinions which set it down as a mile in width and three in length - we might fairly conclude that this mysterious being surpassed greatly all dimensions admitted by the learned ones of the day, if it existed at all. And that it did exist was an undeniable fact; and with that tendancy which disposes the humand mind in favour of the marvellous, we can understand the excitement produced on the entire Planet Bob by this supernatural apparition.

    The Reasoning

"That which is not good for the beehive, cannot be good for the bees."

Think of it. On the surface there is hunger and fear. Men still exercise unjust laws. They fight, tear one another to pieces. A mere few feet beneath the waves their reign ceases, their evil drowns. Here on the ocean floor is the only independence. Here we are free!

In every place of great resort the monster was the fashion. They sang of it in the cafes, ridiculed it in the papers, and represented it on the stage. All kinds of stories were circulated regarding it. Then burst forth the unending argument between the believers and the unbelievers in the societies of the wise and the scientific journals. "The question of the monster" inflamed all minds. Editors of scientific journals, quarrelling with believers in the supernatural, spilled seas of ink during this memorable campaign, some even drawing blood; for from the sea-serpent they came to direct personalities. During the first months of the year the question seemed buried, never to revive, when new facts were brought before the public. It was then no longer a scientific problem to be solved, but a real danger seriously to be avoided.

    The Gathering

"Would not that be my right?"

"It might be the right of a savage," [Aronnax] answered, "but not that of a civilized man."

The sea is everything. Its breath is pure and healthy. It is an immense desert, where man is never lonely, for he feels life stirring on all sides. The sea is only the embodiment of a supernatural and wonderful existence. The sea is the vast reservoir of Nature. The globe began with sea, so to speak; and who knows if it will not end with it? In it is supreme tranquillity. The sea does not belong to despots. Upon its surface men can still exercise unjust laws, fight, tear one another to pieces, and be carried away with terrestrial horrors. But a few feet below its level, their reign ceases, their influence is quenched, and their power disappears. Ah! Sir, live--live in the bosom of the waters! There only is independence! There I recognise no masters! There I am free!"

"Professor," replied the Praetor abruptly, "I am not what you call a civilized man! I have done with Green society entirely, for reasons which I alone have the right to appreciate. I do not obey its laws..."

  5. I think our willingness to aid and defend our allies would outweigh the occasional post that doesn't agree with them 100% but maybe that is just me. What really amazes me is how Someone from Valhalla spits on the war, that Gramlins is happily fighting alongside our allies, than someone from IRON quotes the Mobius Accords and than a stray comment about the wording of that section ends with NPpO criticizing Gramlins.

You are incorrect, my Grämlin brother, it was Almighty Rub and Fallen Fool - what a suitable nation name, I commend you - who entered this thread criticizing our alliance as a whole. The posts by our allies were merely directed at Bob Janova.

As I, nor our alliance as a whole, has any issues with the Möbius Accords we can leave this issue at rest now, I suppose. And of course hope non signatories will refrain from trying to... well, what are they actually trying?

  6. We can do much much better, but we choose to only play with plastic implements due to our treaty considerations. Of course this is a course of action that the free spirits of integrity at Gramlins ignore constantly. Big mouthed coat tail riders without discretion, I see a big future ahead with your allies.

Well you are always free to drop your obligations. And my thanks for predicting the future, I wish there were more with your gift - it would make the world a better place.

  7. Do you honestly expect a different approach from Gramlins Grub?

Weak trolling in the guise of 'expressing themselves' is their time honored pastime.

At least you guys never fail to entertain me. Thx for that one. Although, by now, I had expected a little more than those itchy jabs "you" keep doing, you can do better, Im sure.

  8. This is wrong. You had a valiant and rather handsome Pacifican willing to join your ranks and use his bear hands to ward off any possible future infiltration of GATO and to, in spirit, reverse the first such infiltration.

You also, you know, could've tried coming to us about it rather than approaching a multitude of alliances in effort to form an international uprising against the Order.

I can only confirm these words. There was indeed a (supposedly) handsome Pacificist- err Pacifician who was willing to put his ego aside and join the Organization for the greater good of both. However he was turned down recklessly the first time and insulted the seconded time.

It still saddens me to see so much NS go poof over CK, oh well, thats the world. But I told people (including CK) before, he will be the ultimate demise of GATO and as long as he is connected, GATO will be destroyed. It was true when Letum and I preached it and it turns out to still be the truth.
