Was a total mess... Dess forgets the fact that several members a month before the Costra/Cartel attacks were nearly ZI'd during all the \M/ problems me included...
The alliance failed as no-one was interested in recruitment and 1/2 our council was made up of newbs... The Imperial Republic had been around for nearly 2 years... we were not a new alliance as several have put it... we were over a hundred strong at the peak... then members began vanishing upto the point when \M/ members begain random attacking. then almost everyone left (the goverment was in tatters most fleeing for the safty of large alliances or quiting CN compleatly.)
Also it was me who was responsible for securing not only Reps from Costra and the Cartel but also getting most of the attacks to stop against our weaker members.
I have already left the Imperial Republic before this notice fearing for my people after a series of 'innocent' PM's saying that I SHOULD look for another alliance as we faced tech raids... I speaking for MadBadgerStan refused to give into these terrorists and headed for the sunny shores of the NPO where we can all just sit out in the sun, smoke reefer and grow fat.
If anyone is looking for a seasoned Internal Affairs minister or someone to trade with (Wine & Rubber) PM me on CN.
Lastly... can someone get me access to the Red Forums (been a year now... still no password... always been red) and tell me wtf was with the increase in aircraft costs? 500 tech for TU-160's? I still have a large force of TU-160's and B2's but can buy no more now... :angry: Meh, guess it means anyone who attacks me will get an unexpected sting when my planes take to the air =P

The IR is very thankful to the Brigade at the moment. Alot of Cartel members are just going suicidal on any IR/Brigade members. At least the IR can walk out of this mess now.
It will be Alliance-Alliance Tech raiding that will start the next big war after all.

Nymphoria owned by Dream Mistress has gained 100+ tech overnight...
Been fighting her in this 'war' and he Tech is at 300 from 200 with only 500 infra and deff 5. She hasn't been aided for it as she's under 3 attackers per day.
Think she's using a hack and getting free tech.
Can someon check her nation? she's killing me cos of it.

The first issue that must be addressed is your loose term “Good†used to allude to the attacked nations. Why are they good? What value do they exude to others to capture the nature of good? Or, if it isn’t related to an action, then we assume that all nations begin good. But when does this goodness wear off? When do they become normal, or bad even? For the most part the word good is giving by your peers, in this case other nations and alliances. And for an alliance to assumed the good-natured existence of another, there must be some gain from said assumption. So to relate the nations of IR to a good citizen who was attacked is a fallacy in your dependent argument (if A then B ). Granted, the disproval of A does not always results in a negative of B, but it also covers the possibility of a proofed positive.
Errr... we are a good alliance... We keep to ourselves, we look after our own & we don't stage Alliance wide assaults on weaker opponents in the guise of a 'Tech Raid'. Yes you were aiding your allies... but did you look at any of the Dows?

So the military build up is to retaliate against the masses of trick or treaters then? CM's and bombers a bit extreme against Ghosts, Fairies and Vampire brides...

Well the IR being the IR is going through more Goverment change... our Premiere and The Boss (IR's #1 & 2) are being asked to resign due to inactivity during the war... Mesa nice and safe and is being given control untill elections when Alex and Des step down.

Well people I need rough figures!
70 Tech and 700 Infra for me. Plus 9 F-22's, 8 Su-30's and 4 Sabers
$30K * 70 = $210,000
$10K * 700 = $7,000,000
$30,000 * 4 = $120,000
$45,000 * 8 = $360,000
$50,000 * 9 = $450,000
= $8,140,000
Getting 2 mill + 50 Tech from Cosa
($1,500,000 + $2,000,000) - $8,140,000 = $4,640,000
$4,640,000 * 2 = $9,280,000 In Cartel Reps for me.
Thats ignoring all soldiers, tanks and CM's.
I'd be happy with the Cartel giving me 5-6 mill however.
As long as I get my Infra back upto 1500 and Tech over 200 I'll be happy.
We are sending out messages to members but as the people only log in when they can do It may take a day or two for all the messages to get around and back to us.

Not a 1 day war... Been going for 4 days now...
All Cartel members cna still ask me to call off any attackers and start discusing Reps.

Probably a bad example. As all past wars have shown, someone will jump in and fight the NPO, or any other major alliance being jumped. No one is jumping in on the Cartel's side in this one.
No-ones on the cartels side as they realise that the cartels in the wrong...

These are the terms laid down by the IR & Brigade goverments. There not gonna change much.
And the timeframe is the end of the month.

Soz I wasn't around... went out last night, got hammered & saw a stripper...
Cartel members are slowly asking us for you to lay off them as they wont be able to pay Reps.
As many IR Nations are owned by people who don't use PC's everyday some people have only just discovered that there nation was under attack yesterday. IR nations are striking back against the Cartel however they are being reined in.
If Cartel members PM me or any IR Goverment members on CN then we'll call the attackers off. Then we will get back to you about the Reps which wont be in the billions.
Also the merge with CON is on hold. As far as I can see The Brigade and Co have done much more for us than CON.

Just to make a few things clear.
The IR wasn't always a 23 nation alliance. There was a failed coup with several \M/ nations about 2 months ago. Shortly after that most of the Government fled abandoning the IR along with many nations. We have dropped from a nation number of 96 when I joined at the beginning of July to the 23 now. We've just started taking new nations again after the last elections for Government.
During the attempted Coup all documents relating to treaties and pacts were lost. We were actively seeking MDP's with larger alliances as a matter of common sense and had started talking about maybe merging with a larger alliance when we were attacked.
It was not a purposefully inactive nation attacked. However the DoW's stating "PM for Peace/Retal=Nuke" "no need tech me likey land" "Yawnnnnnnnnnnnn!" Kinda left us in a spot... I was PM'd by an IR nation about the fact he was being triple teamed I assisted him and wound up with 4 Cartel/Cosa nations attacking me!
After viewing our forums and realizing on CN that the majority of us were in the brown stuff I did come on these boards and ask the general community for some general assistance. Nations from The Brigade, NpO, TPF & The Grämlins all said the war was 'unjust' and 'immoral' which it is when you think that the IR had been double teamed out the blue by two stronger alliances.
In the mean time I was PM'ing Cosa and Cartel members asking why? and getting little or nothing in return. Eventually I began talks with Revelation of Cosa Nostra leading to Cosa leaving the war.
Cartel however continued attacking and declaring more wars. All IR nations were under orders to declare peace and leave it alone. However the attacks continued. I had declared Peace with all the attackers attacking me and only got peace with the sole Cosa nation attacking me.
The IR is still a legitimate alliance and therefore shouldn't be witness to attacks like this. What if some 'super' alliance suddenly turned up and attacked NpO with the same DoW's? Would you all not aid and assist them? Yes I know of the treatys/pacts/conventions ETC NpO has which would draw everyone in... but I'm sure alliances not bound to NpO would aid them. The Brigade (along with several other alliances) came to our side as peacekeepers to ensure that I could arrange reps for the IR after Cosa surrendered. However attacks from Cartel continued and I thank The Brigade for assisting us and we are in talks that may lead to stronger bonds between our alliances.
The Brigade can not be compared to The Cartel or Cosa Nostra as they haven't attacked an entire Alliance out of the blue with no DoW and threats of nuclear retaliation.

Well estimates put Reps at 50 mill for Osta Nostra. We're waiting for the update and more members to respond.

We (The IR Goverment) wern't having talks with The Grämlins Goverment during this incident.
Currently we are in the process of securing Reps from Cosa Nostra for their part in the war.

Well there have been no increase in the number of Cosa or Cartel wars against the IR. I have declared Peace on all mine & no reciprocation to be seen.
I've only attacked in the defence of VV. I didnt respond to the other attacks as i knew it was a waste of moneys. however if attacked after the update I will defend myself and will ask the other goverment members to alow all IR nations to defend themselves how they see fit.
