1. In this case, the Izz ad Din al Qassam Brigades was one nation, which came from within TDO.  So we had a TDO member defending TDO under a different AA.  Not a bad thing -- expected, even -- but not exactly a worldwide grass-roots response to a threat on neutrality.

As a matter of record, the IDQB response to this aggression was neither requested by nor coordinated with TDO, nor was it intended to defend that specific alliance.

I announced my intention to leave the alliance before TDO formulated a response to the attacks, with the intention of pursuing a separate policy of retribution without prejudicing any peace agreement that TDO might make.

2. To be fair to Tywin, I've always seen SPATR as a kind of "Mushquaeda style AA" for DBDC as well since they had like dual members or some thing one time. Idk and didn't care to learn about it so I just assumed that.

Frankly, I think the idea of using a "Mushquaeda style AA" to illicitly conduct wars is rather reprehensible.

3. Section I - Non-aggression
(a) No UA nation will take part in any offensive military or spying action against any other nation, unless requested to by the Ultra Lunar Leader (ULL) or the Ultranian Defence Minister (UDM).
(b) No nation of a non-UA nation or alliance will take part in any offensive military or spying action against any UA nation(s).

Genius.  If only we had thought of this.

4. Don't worry.  I have good information from uninvolved parties that we're apparently launching attacks on them soon.

There was that bit where...

I say that the matter is very clear. Every Mushlim, after this event, will seek out and destroy a certain neutral alliance starting with the most vulnerable of international infidels. The neutrals who went on a display of vanity with their men and dolphins, those who turned even the countries that believe in Mushlam against war—the group that resorted to Allarchon, the Almighty, the group that refuses to be subdued in its religion.

But when a few more than 5 neutral alliances excluded themselves from world affairs, hypocrisy stood behind the head of international infidels: the modern world's symbol of pacifism, The Democratic Order, and its neutral co-consiprators.
I tell them that these events have divided the world into two camps, the camp of the faithful and the camp of infidels. May Allarchon shield us and you from them.

I think that's a pretty explicit threat to any alliance that DBDC/MQ might attach the label of 'neutral' to.

5. I for one intend to find out the answer to the question beg'd in this topic title, "Or What?"

Hopefully we can agree that TDO has collectively chosen the "shooting back" option.

Doombird/MQ offered peace to TDO nations that joined them - their offer has been entirely ignored and TDO has the same numbers as before the war.

6. This will come as a great surprise to everyone whose reading comprehension level isn't adequate to digest GOP's 2010 announcement where they stated:

This in no way indicates that if a neutral, conservative or green alliance is attacked we will automatically come to their defense. If an alliance is attacked because of mistakes it has made, or because of diplomatic  breakdowns - that's a political matter with which we are not concerned. But if someone decides to attack a neutral alliance, for instance, simply because the attacker feels "there is no place for neutrality in the game" - that is another matter entirely. As previously stated, such an unfounded attack could just as easily be an attack on the GOP. So, we reserve the right to not sit on our thumbs while our way of life is threatened.

So surprise in this matter doesn't make it reasonable to:

• Hold wrong opinion about GOP policy for three years.
• Have wrongness of opinion confirmed by events.
• Congratulate self on effecting 'policy change'.
7.  Neutrality is not, and should not be, an excuse for laziness.

The trouble with that statement is that it implies that 'laziness' is identical with not following the agenda of the non-neutrals, when in fact neglecting the things non-neutrals think important is the essence of neutrality.  No neutral alliance has ever positioned itself so as to have the means to impose its agenda on others - that's why being a 'successful' neutral is not inconsistent with being  an alliance with little influence on our world.

The Doombird/MQ war on TDO might well establish that an unsanctioned neutral alliance is less well placed to win wars than a militaristic alliance with aspirations to hegemony.  But I suspect that won't be news to anyone here, and it certainly won't count as a criticism of the neutral ethos that it is not suited to achieving something that it never aspired to achieve in the first place.

8. I think it's been made fairly clear that TOP consider MQ/MK to be different entities.

MQ is used as a banner of convenience which allows MK to escape the consequences of their nations' reprehensible actions.

Feigning belief that this fiction is real allows everyone else to escape the consequences of having to do anything about it.

9. The nation of UltimaThule is a large nation permanently buying tech at the rate of $6m for 100 tech.

This nation has been purchasing tech for several years, without ever missing a payment or even making a late payment.

Due to the unreliable nature of some sellers, I require the seller to send the tech first.

To initiate a deal, simply send 100 tech to UltimaThule with the text "100tech/$6m".

If I accept the offer, that guarantees that I will send the seller $6,000,000 in exactly
ten days, that is as soon as the initial foreign aid transaction
expires. Once accepted, sellers will have the opportunity to repeat the
transaction on the same terms for as long or as short a period as they
wish.

People involved in active wars are not eligible to take
part in this offer. This applies irrespective of whether the seller is
the instigator of any war or not.

Happy trading!
