  1. ahh crap.. didnt mean toput in alliance politics.. some one please move.

kargoth, strider, B. i'll miss you blokes. and many other. good luck to you guys.

i'll stop in and bye before i go for good. got some.."stuff" to attend too first. so i wont be completely gone.. for like a week. then my nation goes to the dogs.

  2. see ya later. for those who dont care. good move along.

to every one else.. this game has gone to crap for me. i dont have the time. nor the intrest anymore. most of this community is something i wish to no longer be a part of. i guess it jsut has taken a different direction from when i started out over a year ago.

it's my own personal feeling that the game has gone from a political sim to a war sim. and i'm not interested any longer.

to all the guys in NoV/NoR/where ever the hell you are now.. that i had such great friendships with.r you will be missed. i appreciate every thing you have done for me.

to NPO: i am sorry i ever doubted you. you are one the pillars of greatness in the game. though i some times disagree with you.. but hey no one can agree 100% of the time right?

    to NpO: same above.

to every one else i enjoyed the company of when i had the time. friends and foes alike. fare well.

to every one else. enjoy trying to take over the world.

  3. http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_d...ation_ID=124913

The first person that bombs and performs at least one but preferrably two victorious attacks, and then sends me screenshots confirming you did both, will immediately get 50 tech from me, no strings attached.

i am not a fan of attacking people asking for help in public forums.. but you sir should be the winner of ZI for doing it not just halfway wrong.. but COMPLETELY wrong. paying for an attack on an alliance... smooooooth.

  4. without infra Purchase modifier (resources, gov type, factories)

assuming buy in batches of 10 infra at a time,

    0 to 100 infra should be $102,800.00

Infra upkeep cost per unit $25.00

    Total Infra upkeep cost $2,500.00

    10 tech = $100k

from 0 to 200 infra should be $370,300.00

Infra upkeep cost per unit $32.00

    Total Infra upkeep cost $6,400.00

    20 tech = $100k+$150k = $250k

infra upkeep is calculated w/o taking into account the tech discount.

not sure whether is correct. if wrong don't blame me :P

thank you very much. this shall prove helpful in the future.

  5. ::yaaaaaaawn::

    "It

It has been brought to my attention that A member of \m/ who has been taken as a POW by The Legion in the current conflict is being attacked

oh noes. 1 out a few hundred...

people need to stop diggin for PR stunts at this point, and just fight. either that or surrender. but stop with all the pointless PR stunts. they will not change anything.

  6. obviously. i've said all along this war is not about tech raiding.. the bandwagoning of all these little alliances.. is because of pent up anger directed at those who took a proverbial crap on their faces. mostly related to tech raids. either tech raids. extortion. "for lulz" attacks. what ever..

and never said tech raiding would stop. for the 15th hundredth time. i said people will realize people get mad. most alliances whether they raid actives or not (doesn't matter) have some sort of refund policy. if the person says hey.. i'd like my stuff back. they should and usually get it back. it's when they don't that people get mad.

especially when the argument is. "well if they want it they can fight for it... but oh yeah if they do that and start winning my alliance will start pwning them"

any alliance with that mind set is a bully. end of story. and eventually will have this happen to them.

  7. [18:06:41] <HordeOfDoom[\m]> Uberspion, why the hell did you break the ceasefire

[18:06:53] <strungy> hed been attacked already

[18:06:54] <tenshotkid> I think he got attackedor something

[18:07:02] <strungy> montfort attacked after the ceasefire first

i guess he had every right.. how ever a lot of nation do not know there is a cease fire. i would suggest having every one send out a pm to their attackers. if not already done.

that is if the ceasefire even still stands. i dont even know anymore.. i'm trying to sort through a million posts it's gettign confusing.

  8. tech raiding will not stop. but there will likely be more enforcement/stricter/more fair policies among many alliances in the after math.

an example would be - no more of the "if they want their stuff back to bad. they can try and take it" attitudes.

more importantly.. in all likely hood an end to all the "for lulz" raids/attacks.

hopefully after this is said and done people will realize raiding actives pisses them off. and that once they do find an alliance,(if they aren't already in one) which they are pretty much forced to join. that they very well could turn around and strike back. you would be amazed at how long people can hold grudges.

  9. @rostam (or what ever your name is)- total jerk. we sent out terms of surrenders to all the nations in anarchy. and his retort was.. well.. less then polite. and didn't have much of a point behind it. i'll just say just give ya the number of letters in each word. 4 2 4. sooo. way to be a class act i will enjoy destroying you. unlike the others i fight.

as said in the previous post here.. every one else is still either a class act or unknown.

  10. well, i for one can vouch for GOONS not being completely evil...

we had a GOONS nation raid an inactive member of my alliance... since we love our corpses...

we attcked the GOONS nation and filled his war slots, then headed straight over to GOONS,

we got in contact with a Higher power, they investigated, and said member was expelled for being and idiot and raiding a nation beloning to a 100+ member alliance...

now, this worked for us, surely it should work for other, even bigger alliances...

if you do things the right way, GOONS arnt all evil...

i have been hearing so much bad stuff in this war, just thought i would bring some light to the image of GOONS

GOONS has always been reasonably fair with tech raids. i like GOONS. to a point. heck i like \m/ to point. i just think their policies are crap. they basically have no set rules unless those rules keep them from attacked by bigger alliances. but if it's some one smaller that cant really do any damage.. they seem to throw those policies out the window and go with the "we let our guys do what ever they want" argument.

  11. I shot Mountain Dew out of my nose because I laughed so hard when I read that. Read \m/'s charter and THEN formulate your verbal attacks. Why? Because this is a complete fabrication.

    - \m/ nations are allowed to raid unaligned nations and small alliances.

    - \m/ nations can raid in pairs and ask for help if they bite off more than they can chew.

    - The alliance is NOT responsible for raids gone wrong, but members CAN assist other members if the raid was legal.

So yeah. The members can help eachother out if they want to, but it's not guaranteed.

    -Jason8

if they can.. they will.. which means.. even more of the attacked alliance are dragged in. and it become an alliance war. great freakin policy.

your policy says.."we can attack who ever as long as they cant hurt us. and if it brings about the destruction of innocents fine."

by the way that policy also states.. whether written or not. "we shall never pay reps to a lil guy. if he wants them he can fight for it and then we destroy him"

you guys are so honorable. this is exactly why all these little guys hate you. cause at one point or another they had to deal with this policy.. oh by the way i can go pull up the thread in which that was said.. ya know to prove it's not a fabrication.

edit on: i went and found it..

in essence he says "i do it at my own risk, but when i deal with the consequences i run to my alliance and they take care of it for me." which you have already said. so you win. i apologize. but that doesn't make much sense.

    EITHER-

HE DOE IT ON HIS OWN.

    or

HE DOES IT WITH THE FULL BACKING OF THE ALLIANCE.

it can't be both. it has to be one or the other. you cant just decide on the spot out of convenience. well i guess you can. it's your alliances right to choose.. but now you see you are facing those consequences.

another edit.. as i said it not about tech raiding. thats just propaganda.. and good to obviously. the only reason tech raiding is a debate at all is because of the small alliances you screwed over by tech raiding like madmen. regardless of what other thought. have joined in the war against you. and some other have joined because they do feel your methods of raiding were unethical. thats the only reason tech raiding is an issue. you can bring it up one hundred million times and try to defend it. it wont change how all these angry nations feel.

    also..

I don't understand why people care if people are inactive or not. When you signed up for Cn you knew that if you put "War is a option" then that means "War is a option" If they didn't want to fight wars then they should have gone to peace mode.

because you get penalized for being in peace mode. other wise i guarantee the 80% of nations (including the ones in alliances) would be in peace mode. unless they were in an alliance war. if we could stay in peace mode all the time that would be great. would avoid all the rogue drama.

  12. an even better idea would be when nations claim to be pows. they instantly come under the jurisdiction of the "policing" alliance. it's more like they become prison guards. all POWS on both sides answer to the nuetrals. that way alliances fighting dont need to keep tabs on who was at one time a pow. and they can focus on the war. as opposed to be who claimed to surrender then hop back in.

we all know people will post fake surrenders build back up and in a few days join back in. and yeah ok.. the alliance will just fight them some more. but in a real war pows dont just join back in. they are on the sidelines till the end. unless some how they manage to break free.

now since the neutrals would be in charge of monitoring these nations.. once they enter back into the war.. the neutrals could, well.. neutralize them..

of course with a public updated list of pows and screen shots proving they are. people could argue they are just randomly attacking people. making this whole thing more trouble than it is worth.

so in conclusion, good idea. but with out absolute trust it could never be pulled off with out conflict.

  13. @Diskord: If no-one posted about what you're asking them to not post about, what would people ever post about during wartime?!

    about pokemons. duuuuh.

also conan.. thanks to your sig and avatar. when i read all of your posts i hear snoops voice in my head. and we all know how smooth snoop is when he (imagine snoops voice here) deliberates. see.. didnt deliberate sound sexy? makes it null and void if i used completely incorrect or not. cause it was in snoops voice.

ok that was completely off topic.

  14. This war, like most the wars we have seen in CN, is rooted in something deeper than whatever the stated incidents and causes are leading up to it. 'Facts' are relatively arbitrary and can be, and are, twisted by each side to serve their own purposes and promote their own view of self-righteousness. This is propaganda, and it is one of the more interesting and entertaining elements of the Cyberverse.

However, this war, more than any other war, is a clash of cultures. Not just differing ideologies within CN, but views and attitudes which transcend the world of CN. Some have noted this war is IC vs. OOC or 'srs biz' vs. 'lulz' or 'tech raiders' vs. 'non-tech raiders', etc. - all of these reasons have varying degrees of truth and mistruth, but none of them tell the whole story by themselves.

In a general sense, I see it as how people relate to CN itself - whether they accept the 'reality' of CN and attempt to play within that reality, or whether the specifics of CN are arbitrary and CN is simply a method to play their own game defined outside CN.

This is more than another CN war - it is a war for CN. The overall tone of the game and how it will be played is at stake and the winners will essentially shape CN according to their will.

Obviously this is highly generalized, and being someone who has many personal friends on both sides, it is not meant to be a judgment of specific people or alliances on one side or the other, just a subjective analysis from a relatively objective neutral on what a core basis for the war is.

this is a point many have been trying to get across. how ever you nailed it. best post of the war.

  15. I hereby call on every alliance on the "Justice League" side that allows its members to tech raid to withdraw from this conflict immediately. Your coalition leaders have stated that the purpose of this war is your extermination.

actually they have called an end to UNFAIR tech raiding practices. and an end to raiding ACTIVE nations.

  16. Tech raiding whether you like it or not, it happens. Both sides have tech raiding alliances. Stop trying to claim high ground with those arguments.

The Fact is whether you like it or not. Inactive Nations tech would go to waste. Thus raiding em. No Point in letting a nation of some one who doesn't care go to waste. As opposed to attacking some one who cares very much so about their tech. Also the fact that most tech raiding alliances state - "if you get caught you pay it back". Thats a big difference from "who cares if ya get caught. just keep fighting them and if they fight back we will dogpile them".

The reason so many say raid inactive unaligned is not because they are easier targets. It's because they are in an alliance, thus under that alliances protection. Raiding them = attacking them. Which surprise surprise = ACT OF WAR. It's not because unaligned don't matter. It just reduces the chance of a large war. I would much rather deal with one angry guy, pay him and send him on his way. As opposed to dealing 20+ angry guys.

Again tech raiding happens. BUT people who dont like it will tolerate raiding inactive unaligneds because, like i sad - 1. that tech would go to waste. 2. it will not start a war. 3. No one get angry or hurt. (90% of the time)

Once acive nations started getting raided the line was crossed. You were no longer attacking nations with no playing one them, who cared for them. You started attacking people who very much so cared about their nations and were still putting the effort into them. Gee i wonder why people are angry. Oh Wait... NO I DON'T.

But that wasn't good enough. Oh No.. not at all.. that turned into the ability to attack small alliances, because they couldn't hurt big bad ole you guys. (refers to all that did it) Which then further pissed off more people.

ON TOP OF THAT. Very Very few time were the raiders held responsible. and no reps were paid out. SO NOW you have a bunch of people, whos nations they cared about were destroyed or at the very least robbed blind, after month and months of taking after them. and THEY ARE ANGRY.

Trying to argue that every alliance that tech raids is evil is void. I had been in two alliances that allowed tech raiding NoV being one of them. And if you accidentally raided and active nation you were forced to pay back what you damaged. As is the case with most tech raiding alliances. There was also a very very clear cut rule of ABSOLUTELY NO DECLARING WAR ON MEMBERS OF ALLIANCES. Which weather or not it was your policy. It was very loosely enforced against smaller alliances. I remember one time i asked.. "ok say an \m/ member raids my nation, and my alliances retaliates against him and him alone?" the answer "then \m/ will destroy you". That right there says.. yeah sure they can attack them. And when they get in trouble we will fully back them.

Every other alliance states that if their members raid alliances that A. they either pay them back for the damages or B. They are considered a rogue and free to engage.

Thats Why you don't see 40 something alliances speaking out against the tech raiders on "justice league" side. They tend do it by the book. Accepting the risks involved. Whether morally right, is irrelevant. Fact is, that way doesn't piss off the entire planet of bob. They way you guys chose to raid ESPECIALLY over the past couple months pissed off a lot of people.

end of the tech raiding argument.

  17. hey! i was told by a few people ours was the best one. grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

so much for our 50 seconds of glory. :(

edit: actually scratch that.. we still win an award.. we won the least trolled DoW of the war. of course now that will be ruined.. if people can even find it..

  18. i think maybe the OP's point was..

in every war that involves allies on either side.. "bandwagon"ing is needed/used.

if you ask people to join you for so an so reasons.. you are creating the bandwagon. hoping people will jump on board. even if ALL the people are MDP'd. you hope by having one join in another will join in. and so on and so forth. so in essence every single alliance except the first two involved have jumped on the bandwagon.

    by definition:

a party, cause, movement, etc., that by its mass appeal or strength readily attracts many followers

therefor both sides try to create one and set it in motion. thus all the propaganda. only the people with the less attractive bandwagon complain.

hell.. i just realized alliances them selves are bandwagons..
