Despite Freelancer's relentless pursuit to see USN eradicated for the verse, the rest of us can read a treaty just fine, however I think it's time for a Brainy Game Show.

I loved tech raiding... it really is a shame there is no one to raid at me level worth my time and effort, it was an art and I really miss it. It's people like you that make it EXCITING.Glad you enjoyed the show.

hmm... after giving this some actual thought if i was able to hit you knowing your intensions, all i would have to do is have another raider with nukes waiting so when you made your jump they would declare war and nuke you. its not as if you can buy as many nukes as you want at a time.
so in theory you make a huge jump and as you buy your nuke to hit me 1 or 2 nations declare on you nuking you and following up with everything they have before long if done right all raider involved would leave with alot of cash, tech, and land....
By the way im not saying i will try but then again im not saying i wont...

Why did you tell your POW that he was protected by the Maroon Team? Seems a bit random.
I feel kinda bad for the guy; first he gets Furs and Lead as natives and then he tries his hand at raiding and gets nuked.
If you believe anything I write or do is random then you have miscalculated.
Many Many moon ago, I lived in The Maroon Church, this was my way to get you major players who so happen to run this color to hopefully re-establish that protection order, there are some of us who think being in an alliance can be a pain in the rear end, we just want to do our thing without having to worry about being attacked every other day.. Hopefully my subtle hint gets you thinking.
As for our contestant, yes his first 2 months on our planet have been filled with failure, the one thing I would really love to see is the GDA thread when I'd imagine he came begging for help, I'd bet that's funnier than this thread

At any rate, it would have been more interesting if you attacked a known alliance. Waited for the alliance to triple team you. Grow 3-4 times bigger than them and nuke all 4 of them. That would be interesting yet evil.I would never attack anyone, it would have ruined the entire storyline and the shock and awe our contestant received, we have rewarded him this though.
He himself might not get anymore targets, but remember, he said he is Mine #14, meaning there are at LEAST 13 others out there. They will probably not speak up now that this has been brought up.

The interactive saga of Poseidon’s Rage was just that, a soap opera if you will developed to entertain “you” the viewers of Planet Bob. What you were unaware of, the script had a few different endings “Your” reactions decided the outcome.

I was speaking with one of our superiors today about the reactions I received from this thread, to be frank and honest we did not expect this, we expected pure outrage (Think pre GW2) Mongo and Decollo-Letum come to mind, which if happened the story line would have changedAs most stories we need a catchy title, something to grab the viewer’s eye, “All Raiders of Technology” short and to the point emm your thinking does this pertain to ME? Second Part “Welcome to the Abyss” Now you’re thinking, ok who just got hit and is whining NOW?
Habit has you click the link and now we have your attention.
The creators of this script could care less who raids who or what you choose to do in game, they needed a catalyst a precursor for the story and if planet bob is anything it’s predictable, one day in none produced the first contestant. I hold no I’ll wills to the GDA who was gracious enough to partake in this story unwillingly or the Nation Leader himself.
I imagine the next contestant story will be titled “Land Mine 8 has just exploded” unfortunately, this is information I am not privy to and like most of you, will have to wait to read that episode.

You really have no idea who you're talking to.He may not, but I do, if I recall you wrote quite a handy guide for our wanbe spies, an excellent read in my opinion, however like your previous incarnation Freelancer does not do subtle well, not at all.
CN is afterall a war game. Some people forget that fact and think its just an economic exercise. Whether you fight in an alliance war or in a tech raid - it's all in fun! This anti-tech raid was "Priceless". B)We appreciate the compliment,.

As I said earlier we had a couple wrinkles in the plan which I'll share, frankly cause I laugh ever time I think about it.
The first came sometime in early June, when I was 7 days inactive, I had roughly 147 million saved, aid slots baring my benefactors, when I log in to find myself under attack.
One post set a chain of events in place that can only be described as WOW, what efficiency, the end result was I remaining quite, never attacked back and within hours my attacker sending massive amounts of tech back to the alliance I was assured safe haven.
Maybe one day that will get declassified and posted here for all to see, it was truly funnier than the OP itself just for the fact that the Minister of Defense at the alliance I was staying at never new the event even happened, the more I think about that talk about scary.
The second came when I lost my uranium trade the day I went to None, boy did I have to run back home quick..

Make a mistake and the "landmine" scheme turns off a ruler on Planet Bob just as fast as any reaver busting up smaller nations just because they can.Thank You for your concern, however unlike most I understand the political climate of the world I live.

Yes I loured a weak thief into my trap, however if you think this has anything to do with Tech Raiding, think again, this whole thing is about adding something new and interesting to the game, Tech Raiding was just a means to an end, it made for a good title, stick that in you journal.
I'm sure as soon as one of my supporters see's this I may get a stern talking to, some of you are all missing the point.

As a term of surrender, I am posting here publicly to admit my defeat at the hands of Poseidon's Rage.
I have learned that tech raiding is wrong and in future, will earn my tech the way everyone else does, working for it.

If you don't want to worry about tech raiders, just move to the Red Sphere where tech raiding is not allowed by any alliance in red.
Interesting concept, I was under the impression The NPO had to abolish The Revenge Doctrine..

Your correct my superiors designed this OP as a game of chance per-say, wana tech raid, roll the dice and become the next public example. This should be a fun month, let the manhunt begin.

This seems like a clever idea, but even ZIing nations at that range takes pocket change to rebuild. You're wasting your time.

Looks like neither of you read the OP. He was sub 3K NS when declared on, and then jumped up into the 11K range after being attacked. To Velocity, he could probably not replish his forces all way long and still win every battle, and I don't think the raider could even GA with the odds that stacked. To Thor, he didn't have nukes, as by any outside indication he was defenseless, again less than 3K NS. The only way to have any indication of this event happening would be by spies, and a cursory look at the raider's nation makes me think he has no spies. This is not a case of a stupid raider, this is a case of a smart anti-raider. I would also like to echo the sentiments of the poster who said the OP is bad#@$.
We have a winner, you Sir win the prize of a NO-TLDR, an unfortunate reality that has plagued Bob far to long.
