Well then, let's hope for your sake that FEAR declares in defense of NEW, which would allow you guys to enter. I don't see that happening though. Do you?

Nemesis was founded in February of 2009 by Mista' VanHoo. It was founded as an elite alliance comprised almost entirely of government members from many other alliances. Some loved us, some hated us, and some were indifferent, but Nemesis stood by our morals and was a sinificant player in Digiterra politics. We fought in four major wars, never engaging an alliance our size or smaller. We finished 4-0. During the Karma War we had the highest blitz rate in the game. Once we even organized an all out attack, six minutes before update, against an opponent we didn't know we would be engaged with, in defense of our friends (even without a treaty). We accepted good people who had sentences against them and stood for what we believed was right. We have been an elite alliance.

Blame the shifting vagaries of the game, or the overall downward trend in the number of nations, but Nemesis has reached a point where we would disappoint our allies if we were called upon to march to war. Our activity has been less than what we believed should be the standard for an alliance conceived as Nemesis was when assembled. Rather than sully our reputation, we have decided to disband with our historical legacy intact. Our allies have been notified and Ragnarok has agreed to protect Nemesis while we conduct our diaspora to other alliances over the next two weeks. Many will be going to RoK, some to CoJ, some to OBR, some other destinations. Nemesis alumni have populated many alliances and we will never forget the bonds of brotherhood that makes. Thank you all, for the good times.

For the memory of the former triums:

VanHoo III
Soccerbum
Bob
Yawoo
Draov
Daggarz
That-One-Place
Poyplemonkees

and us last three:

Kataklizm the Great
Bob Ilyani
Kwilliams

We hereby officially retire Nemesis to the history books.

I wish to personally thank all my friends that have been in Nemesis over the years, our loyal allies, and anyone that has had occasion to say something nice about us. Farewell and following seas.

So as Daggarz is no longer in Nemesis, I guess Nemesis are not going to protect me in the short term, I also have other logs that now claim Nemesis is no longer going to attack goons, you need to talk to them about there reasons.
Daggarz has gone to CoJ. Nemesis isn't currently mobilizing to attack anyone. Timeline has left the Nemesis AA, as well. Ya'll may continue your tiff, try not to wreck the environment too much.

Not entirely mistaken. Different government members of Nemesis hold differing opinions, and mine was far more in line with what you heard, if not past that line.

Being the third and final Nemesis triumvir to post here, I can attest that opinion was indeed divided (or at least, divergent). My experience was, although all the Legion Diplomats that popped by to chat were pretty cool, their seemingly unseverable ties of bondage to NPO made any possibility of a treaty untenable. I still wish them luck and no hard feelings.

On 9/2 the alliance Kerberos Nexus has decided to engage in six aggressive wars against GOONS nations. Since this is literally 100% of the possible aggressive wars slots Kerberos Nexus has available, we're considering this an obvious act of war.
Six outta six, I get it.
When approached to resolve the first war situation diplomatically, Methrage (Kerberos Nexus leader) decided instead to declare more wars against us.
OK, lost me there, does the Nexus have 4, 5, or 6, aggressive slots?

Our Deputy elections were held at long last (after having been delayed by the whole global war thing in the Spring), and I am happy to announce our new Deputy Ministers.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs: Amossio
Deputy Minister of Ecomonic Affairs: Ovaltine Jenkins
Deputy Minister of Defense: Edison Franklin (re-elected)
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs: Rakul
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs (RC): Crazy Crazy (Recruiting Czar)

Congratulate these fine folks.

One other small matter....we recently threw out a nation from Nemesis (Canadian District Ruler: Military) for a litany of offenses, to include lying, trying to start wars between alliances, unauthorized attacks, and more. Reticent to leave, he was attacked and went on to ghost RDD (Who had to attack him, as well). Amid his effusive threats of all his friends he was going to rally to his cause, he sent out countless messages promising 15 million or 250 tech if nations would attack his Nemesis attackers. Five or six nations fell for this sham and although the attacks have abated, a couple were tossed from their alliances for this extreme gullibility. Military then proceeded to line up three (so far) tech deals, which netted him a fresh 9 million, all of which have expired. Caveat Emptor: "Let the buyer beware". He claims to be on his fifth country. My reccomendation is not to allow this person into your alliance, attack on his behalf, trade with, nor to do tech deals with him. Pop by our IRC channel if you have any other questions in this case. Thank you for your attention.

Why is discussion of the terms, within a thread created by posting terms of surrender illegitimate?
It's not. They have been discussed unto death in 20 plus pages. We are only left with the agitating part I referred to. Have a nice day.

8. Since this is a surrender/peace thread, not an "agitation about reps" thread from people NOT in TOOL, I'd like to give kudos to the members of TOOL. I fought 10 TOOL nations and no one was ever disrespectful. I thank Scarlett Phoenix for earning me the "Nuke Eater Ribbon" (although we are having to concrete over that crater) and Mikedabomb, who I could see becoming friends with.
