  1. *sigh

This is about nukes, and Walford has just changed the topic with the help of a few others. Why doesn't everyone just do what I did, and ignore his posts? There is an option in the controls panel thing to manage that. If everyone ignored him, then no matter what he did, he wouldn't be able to change the topic, annoy people, etc.

I would like to also concur with gopherbashi above. While I'm not the OP, I would like to request this locked for epic off topic-ness.

  2. I'd say. Nice flag CIS. Will there be a ceremony to retire the old one?

    >_>

Well, about that.... I dun think we even have it around any longer.

No wait! It is being used as the welcome mat right outside the entrance to the cafeteria! That's what we did with it. Hey, it actually looks a little bit better now.... huh.

  3. ARTICLE 1

The signatory alliances recognize the sovereignty of the other signatory, and neither shall violate the other signatory’s military, political, or economic independence. Neither signatory alliance nor its members shall allow any overt or covert acts of hostility against the other party, and in the event of such actions, both signatories shall work towards a peaceful resolution. If one or both party is too incensed to think lucidly, alcohol or other sedatives are encouraged to be used such that everyone will calm the f**k down, and we can all talk peace and stuff like the hippies did.

    ARTICLE 2

The signatory alliances recognize the importance of open communication between both the membership and leadership of both signatories. Both signatories commit to building strong and active lines of communications via IRC, forums, and those nights on the beach all alone.

    ARTICLE 3

Both signatory alliances and their member states agree to be respectful to the other signatory alliance in both public and private. Respect implies a reasonable tone when speaking about the other alliance and its members, and sharing of “supplies†when the other alliance comes over for a visit.

    ARTICLE 4

Both signatory alliances agree to actively build trade relations with the other signatory, and neither signatory shall restrict any form of trade with the other signatory without good reason.

    ARTICLE 5

Both signatory alliances are encouraged to provide financial and/or political support in the event that the other signatory enters a defensive or aggressive war. Both alliances should provide military support in the case of a defensive war, but are not required to. If the alliance decides not to support the other alliance in such circumstance, a reason should be given whether in private or public.

    ARTICLE 6

Both signatory alliances agree to provide to the other any information pertinent to the safety of the other alliance.

    ARTICLE 7

In the event of the activation of another treaty that contradicts this treaty, each signatory alliance will work with the other diplomatically to fix the issue. If not possible, they may agree to suspend the treaty for the duration of superseded invocation. Also, if the alliance signing such a treaty should alert the other alliance of their discussions of such as soon as reasonably possible. We are friends, and should let each other know if something is going on.

    ARTICLE 8

The Confederacy of Imperial States agrees to give the Order of Feudalistic Security waffles and cookies of the finest caliber. In exchange, OFS shall give CIS plenty of secksings. Both alliances feel that these actions will tighten the bonds between the alliances.

    ARTICLE 9

If either signatory alliance feels that this treaty has been violated, diplomatic negotiations have failed, or they wish to cancel this treaty for whatever reason, they may cancel this treaty after giving the other signatory 49 hours of warning. This warning cannot occur between the times of 2200 and 0200 at night by game time (where 0000 is update).

Just so you know: OFS = cool peeps. <2 Ro

  4. I agree with imatt15 about the nuke thing. That's understandable. But what about the 1000 NS range? Possibly due to people quitting the game/getting bored of the game at this point of time? Those below the range haven't gotten bored and quit yet, while those above the range means that they are more or less likely to stick with it for a longer period of time? Something like that?

Excuse me if this is unclear. Flu has be all kinds of messed up.

  5. I do believe RIOT was the "most" successful mercenary alliance, but something happened and they disbanded/got destroyed. Or so I've been told by those older than I.

The problem with mercs is that any alliance that could pay them the bid wanted, is already large enough to take care of things themselves. If they are not large enough yet, then after they barely win their war or whatever, they have to recover both their alliance and this other alliance plus profits. I could see how a merc alliance could be successful, but I don't think it would last long in that status.

  6. You have won this round, CIS.

You may have stolen the first treaty with Universalis, but I have stolen Lem's heart.

Oh s***, son.... this is going to be a nice storm if the others read this one, as I'm sure someone would like to beg to differ >_>

    *gets out the popcorn

  7. [00:01] <CIS-SC[sharduke]> I copy/pasted faster in a query

    [00:05] <alpha[cis-moia]> Enjoy smile.gif

    (Language edited a bit >_> )

tl;dr VE be warned, you are all getting smashed.

  8. Myworld, Let me answer that:

CIS didn't hear of their move to black. While we might not be the most significant alliance on black, I would suspect because we didn't hear from them, or our black allies, PLUS told no one.

I can't speak for the alliance, but I'm indifferent to this move. I'll make sure to put in a word to my fellow government about how PLUS doesn't even read what they are signing.

  9. You all confused me with the "tl;dr DoW on GATO" subtitle. I thought Planet Bob was getting rid of two alliances this time around, but alas, only GPA is going down.

Usual disclaimer: whether or not this post seems like it, I'm neutral towards both alliances mentioned. I don't care what happens to either, so have a great time doing whatever it is you do.

  10. Ah yes, merging is a good idea. Then when they get about 150 or so members, maybe CIS and their merging alliance will merge, and we shall become a bigger alliance just merging everything until the day we can conquer ze world. mwahahackcoughehe.

    <_< >_>

  11. A punch in the face is a crime. It is called assault.

Actually, that's battery. Assault is a threat that the one who is threatening can carry out. If I am in your DoW range, and I say I'm going to attack you... that's a threat in terms of the game.

That's why in court, most cases of battery are actually "assualt and battery." It would be meaningless to press charges on someone twice for the same thing...

  12. Robb is right, for the first half of it at least lol.

Basically, we are trying to tell the kid that he needs to use private channels or means of communication. Forums and all that fun stuff. He may have spoken to his attacker, but that's usually not good enough. Must go to leadership. And how he presents himself in this thread is looking like he doesn't really care about how things go as long as the alliance attacking him looks a little bad. That's also not good, and he's going to be criticized for it.

  13. Is 4 new presidents in 3 weeks really the record? Didn't CDS have some 20 via coups? Nonetheless, this is pitiful. Even if April did try her best, what's wrong with other government members doing something and releiving some slack of the presidency to get the thing actually on the right track? Or better, appointing deputies or some BS position to actually do something? Of 774 nations in GPA, I'm sure they could find someone willing to help out their own alliance.

    Oh, and g'luck.

  14. People have been telling you to join an alliance asap. Personally, I hope they are all aware of this thread, and why you are trying to join them. I also hope you do end up ZIed, and learn your lesson from it. If you wanted to smear their alliance via the forums, you should have waited until you were winning, which you never would have been, so screw that idea. Welcome to ZI! :)

Oh, about the title. Um, yea, any nation could get ZIed. Usually there is good reason, sometimes not, however. Nonetheless, you are still in the majority. You were harming other nations, then cried when you got hit with a needle. My god, when did CN start allowing 8 year holds to play? Private channels ftw.
