Hi. I'm Roofus. Leader and Founder of the United Earth Directorate. You're probably wondering right now which alliance best suits you. If you're like any other player who calculates his moves, makes all the right decisions, and has a thirst for growth in this game, then you'll join The Directorate! We're not like any other alliance. We have an agenda. We work on it. Precision is The Directorates middle name. We landed in this barren wasteland 90 days ago... We came from Earth, home of human civilization. We pride ourselves upon the fact that we're not a peasant faction born on Planet Bob.
Our start here was rough. But we settled! We stand now as one of the leading successors in the aftermath of the Karma War. We're 80 Officers strong. We have a combined strength of 500K. Our average strength is 7K. We consider ourselves ELITE. We settle for nothing less than what we deserve... And what we deserve is this world!

If we do change flags in the future, I don't believe they'll mind.
NPO, NpO, and NSO all pretty much use the same flag.

What is inappropriate about this? The symbolism of the real UED from Starcraft looks a lot more interesting.

On the subject of our announcement, I would like to thank everyone for their interest in my organization, and many more thanks to everyone who congratulated us on our milestone and my rather lengthy Charter.

Why don't you use the actual UED flag?
I didn't deem it appropriate for this game.
I think peace is enough. Also KP, what do u mean use the real UED flag?He means the original version of the U.E.D. flag on Star Craft.

This is sad to see from a red alliance. When the NPO canceled the Moldavi doctrine and allowed alliances to populate red, I believe they asked that those alliances try to uphold the protection of unaligneds afforded on the team. I see no prohibition from attacking red in your charter, so I suppose you won't be supporting that one noble thing the NPO ever did.Raids in The Directorate are usually granted on the basis that the person in question has already been Black Listed by our organization. The Directorate has no interests of upholding any Doctrines either for the fact that we're more focused on internal growth than war.
EDIT: After reading your charter and rules on tech raiding, I think you should tell JustCrazyAzian, MattUPS and Bob101 to give it another read.The party in question has been dealt with.

What does everyone think the worse starting resources is in the game?
I think I have that combo, sugar and silver.
Sucks for trades, but I think the worst probably is Oil+Lead.

I can understand why admin made them... Ran out of decent ideas.

So as I remember I started with a Monarchy government and my people were happy, but then about a week later they wanted communist (which makes no sense for me to use) and it's been like that for 3 months now.
How do you influence them to change their minds again?
What factors must take place?

And I'm pretty sure that type of political/military power stucture is a bloc, I'm not spelling it wrong.
I always thought bloc was the French way of saying it. You know, because of "Bloc Quebecois" here in good ol Canada.
As for with who or even when for that matter, I don't know.

Can someone tell me what is so horrible about Carter? The coup against him was roundly applauded here and he seems to be on the receiving end of a fair amount of mudslinging (despite not being here to defend himself), so why is he so hated?
He was beefing too much and almost got rolled. Alliance couped him to prevent that.

Don't compare my organization to FIRE. The Directorate is unbreakable and anything I start... I always finish.

If new nations manage their funds and backcollections properly it is entirely possible for them to grow to a level of 3999.99 infra within 50 days under the "standard" $3m/100 tech deals that are mentioned in the OP. This fact means that the number of nations available for tech deals will continue to fall and will thus drive up the price further, which will in turn further lessen the amount of time required to get up to what I would call "self sustainable income levels" (~3999.99 infra and above).
Price inflation has happened in the past and will happen in the future, the only things that can arrest or reverse the price inflation are invasions into the game of large amounts of players or global wars that reduce the average level of money and tech in the game dramatically.
You could get to 3999.99 in 50 days with maybe, just maybe, 3mil 50 tech. You can't do it with the standard deals. It's currently taking me 20 days to gain 1000 infra to go from 1999.99 to 2999.99. Oh, and odds are that I wont even hit the 2999.99 that I want.
