  2. Buying tech -- long-term deal -- 4.5 million for 100 tech

    I'd like to try this with sellers who can afford the wonder. I am a very old nation so I will be around a long time to continue this deal.

    The problem for large nations buying at 3 mil/50 tech is not money, so I don't know what these 2 mil/40 tech deals are all about--it's just a waste of slots for everyone. If I could send 12 million all at once in one aid slot to get 4 continuous 50 tech deals back, I would. The problem is one of space.

    For smaller nations, it's a matter of getting as much money as possible.

    So I propose 4.5 million for 100 tech. I send you 4.5 million, allowed only if you have the FAC, and you send me back 50 tech over 20 days.

    I know this isn't for everyone so please only reply here if you are willing and able to commit to this deal.

    Essentially, Pacifica was playing in an early 2008 political mind-set when it was no longer viable to her well being. Culmulating with the downfall evident today. Will Pacifica rise? Of course she will, as for her political standing and capital that's been expended. That can only be rebuilt if Pacifica changes her disposition and conduct, and that ultimatly falls onto her leadership whom thus far have been stubborn to such changes.

    I always thought Pacifica was very Machiavellian about how they played this game, which was what made them successful for so long. They showed that Bob was ultimately ammoral, and that it's easier to manipulate treaties than become a lasting beacon of camaraderie or justice. However, every system of playing this game has its limits, and I think what you said here is essential:

    When that has been expended, it will be very difficult to rise up again...I imagine they would have to play fair consistently until a whole new generation of nations become the dominant players on Bob. With who we are now, we won't forget that image of Pacifica with a corrupted political and moral standing, which means we won't easily ignore the small things that might lead to their full rise once again. If there's one thing this war shows, it's that pure strength in the game isn't as important as the image one consistently cultivates on Bob, because your image, even if not immaculate, if honorable will win you sustainable allies.

    I read the threads. Nice try avoiding the point though. Blackwater is completely and fully in the right and your attempts to twist without any proof of your side are funny, at best.

    Funny you accuse us of avoiding the point when 1.) Forgottenonez and others have fully explained the situation and 2.) your own affirmations go unsupported.

    Well to all those in BW, this is in public.......NAAW is offering a white peace, and seems to want this behind them.

    I think its time to wipe the slate clean and grow from this. I've always been an advocate of diplomatic solutions,

    this is where it starts once its turned this bad.

    Topic Title pretty much says it all. I'll pay just about anything for a donation (within reason of course - don't ask me for 50 million and 1000 tech). We'd have to work out details on middlemen and stuff, as I don't have any lined up but I have a few options. Other than that, all I can say is I've done this plenty of times, I have some resources available to make this work, and you can always find me if something doesn't work out.

    So Psonami if you had all this information why did you not use it in the trail. Edited logs were posted in the trail how do we now these are real complete logs .

    And the whole the government is suppressive was being talked about way before CP was involved and gov members even said there was a problem.

    No, the first time I got wind of it even being a problem was when CP started that crap, and you KNOW I was active. I couldn't believe in fact that people were accusing Yogi, Xenn, etc. of hogging power.

    No, steodonn, even if you still hate Yogi for what happened (though considering the situation, it was just a slippery slope down on both sides), if you say Xenn and Psonami didn't work honestly for the alliance you're lying to yourself and you know it. Vir was probably right that a lot of it broke down to petty arguments on both sides, but frankly, I don't see this would have happened if CP didn't try to stir his freaking coup against the gov't that we all saw in the massive flood of useless topics on our boards criticizing the way we were doing things. He should have let the people who knew how to handle things handle it, and should never have stirred suspicions of spying on common topics in NPO for himself (which, if he did, that just means he should never have spied).

    I didn't mean outright attack. You didn't side with your protector, but attacked the side they were on. Thats all I meant.

    And like was already said. NATO had a MADP with \m/ as well, but fought on the "~" side of the war. I didn't(didn't being the operative word, since I am over this, albeit, it took till recently) think that NATO was clean of the blood on its hands either.

    Like I already stated, I ask for the sake of berating Atlantis. I asked since, technically, going to war for your protector, isn't required via a protectorate pact. I wanted to know if the Scholar would think it rogue, since he only argues for NAP and MDP's in his latest treatise.

    However, his trolling of Atlantis has already shown his view of them. My question is answered. How unfortunate.

    I think you meant, "I didn't ask for the sake of berating Atlantis" :). Nothing big, just something I happened to notice.

    This really should have been posted the Academic Sub-Forum, where trolling and ad hominem attacks are forbidden.

    If you are unable to unable to handle intellectual discourse, please go elsewhere.

    If you didn’t read the document we are currently discussing, why bother posting at all?

    I disagree. Treatises, regardless of the content or subject matter, are simply not common enough in these forums.

    That has nothing to do with the current topic.

    Where was I… It’s hard to talk over all the yelling.

    If this topic were to be reposted in the Academic Sub-Forum, an earnest discussion of the work, rather than the man, would be possible.

    If you really want to have a discussion about this, the problem is that he's trying to argue for a constructed definition of a word that derives its definition from its use in-game. Thus, existence precedes definition, so if you try to say an unaligned nation that attacks an alliance isn't a rogue, then that becomes a ridiculous argument because the definition must be derived from reality, not the other way around. In other words, defining a word is descriptive, not generative (see grammar) which makes TheScholar's attempt to codify his own criteria for "rogue" as highly trivial.

    There you go, an intellectual analysis of the OP has led me to the same conclusion as others have come to that this was a useless topic.
