  1. If there's no proof, then what did you base your conclusion that TSI received any information, and that we dispensed it to your enemies? It just doesn't make sense unless you can back up your actions with something.

The proof is known only to those that had access to the information. Londo has said already that in all of his logs of the time, the information was revealed only to one person (this is what I mean by the evidence is a lack of physical evidence.) We can KNOW that it was shared with TSI and we can KNOW that it was somehow delivered into Hegemony hands. We BELIEVE that it was TSI based on the evidence we have, that the information took a single, one-way trip to TSI leadership because, at this point if I understand correctly, only Londo and your leader knew and I have doubts Londo double-crossed himself, or he's a LOT more dastardly than he would lead even fellow Athenians to believe :o

If the information was known only by two people, but then NPO found out, someone had to have leaked it. And I think it's pretty easily assumed it was not leaked by the one that it could hurt.

Also, the second part of your argument is not entirely true. There was no bad blood towards Athens until this point; we simply wanted a treaty cancellation simply because neither of us benefited from the agreement due to the lack of any communication, although I can't speak for Athens regarding their reasoning. Just clearing that up.

You have a point here, you're right. I was commenting more on the status of the thread, not so much the feelings of Athenians in considering canceling the treaty. But I do maintain that neither of us had interest in backing each other up if we were mutually unwilling to take a little time to maintain communication.

  2. What's interesting to me is that people are asking for proof, but the proof is in something not existing (conversations with the pertinent data), not so much that it was said to Empress in the first place. So are we looking for logs without information, or what's the real request here?

Anyways, obviously nothing of value was lost in dividing our alliances in this way; No one who wanted to be respectful of each other and watch each others' back would have such obvious bad blood flowing. It's especially hard through strings of friends and enemies that we find ourselves aligned with some quite different folks. It's typical, too, that Athens' friends trust her and that TSI's will trust her: the way of the world. Only time will tell who proves to be the better ally.

Until that day, o/ Eliminating Outdated Treaties!

  3. I can't put to words how PROUD I am to have been a part of this AA. I only started CN about two weeks prior to Athens, beginning in HotU and all I can say is that things have been awesome! Londo has been about the best mentor in this game I could have asked for and often dealt with my dumbass questions (especially important when I would ask the same thing twice XD ). We've had a few people come and go that I really miss in the AA (you know who you are), but I'm thrilled with the family we've cultivated in Athens.

Family and brotherhood are what Athens has always been about; First it was extended to us, then we returned the favor and hope that despite some mistakes, we live up to the friendships we hold so dear. Cheers to another great year, with ups and downs, war and peace, nukes and lulz!

    Friends > Infra!

    o/ Athens

  4. I'm not sure which criteria to judge these by: I think a flag that looks infinitely cool is nice to look at, but a good alliance or national flag should be simple, clean, and easily reproducible (and symbolic or monolithic if possible).

    Therefore, I have 3 winners.

Super Psychedelic Cool Flag: New Polar Order (animated)!

    Firm, Epic, Monolithic: Sparta!

Reproducible and Flag-Life: New Pacific Order!

Congratulations to the winners, you're prize is waiting for you under the Parkcenter Bridge in Boise, Idaho.

  5. Regardless of motivation, I like the Revenge Doctrine and think more larger alliances should cooperate in their spheres to have effective equivalents. Not that they were the worst they could be, even a "bad" institution can harbor good concepts.

I'm disappointed with the opportunists right now, but it's not like you couldn't expect as much. Humanity <_<
