    Well, if people didn't know who we were before, maybe they'll know who we are now. :D   Anyway, how else is one supposed to build a reputation around here if not by throwing themselves in, to fight along side and in defense of their allies?  Frankly, we don't care who does or doesn't know us. So long as our allies know they can count on us to help out when they need...that's all that matters.
     
    You can't fault an alliance for trying to take out who they feel is the weakest link and with our few members and without a real reputation, one cannot blame them for thinking we'd be the easy target.
     
    So, good luck on the battlefield ya'll but if you thought we were going to buckle and back down without a fight, you are sadly mistaken. You may take some of us down but we will be taking some of you down with us as well.

    As per Article V of the Carnivore Accords, Nordreich hereby declares war on those filthy furry heretics known as Mortal Wombat. We care not for the reasons behind the current conflict, we are simply honouring our commitments to the Gayroller alliance. They complete us by putting the camp in our prison, the wurst in our curry and the wiener in our schnitzel.

    So here it is, the inappropriately named battle of Wombat 18.

    It is with no pleasure that I announce that the [url=http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=113274]Death T*oll Pact[/url] between Nordreich and the Dark Templar is to be considered void on 09 April 2013, following the one-week notification period which began earlier this evening.  We wish the Dark Templar well in their future.

    So what you're saying is, LSF wanted a fight with us, so they did practically everything short of posting a formal war declaration, but shame on us for giving them what they wanted? Lol, k. Also, for the record, we spoke to two individuals, neither of whom ever told us anything like "go talk to x, he's our diplomatic guy".

    The following terms of peace between the alliances of Nordreich (NoR) and the Libertarian Socialist Federation (LSF) are hereby effected today, 17 September 2012.

    [*]Comrade Titan Rain and Space Monkey are each liable for 300 tech, payable to nations of Nordreich's choosing, within one month of this peace treaty taking effect. If the amount has not been delivered in full within one month, LSF agrees to suspend protection of these two nations until such time as the total 600 tech has been paid.

    In seriousness, though, it's arguable that no hegemony as powerful or cohesive as the Continuum has emerged since. (Which, as an aside, really is a testament to the New Pacific Order's foreign policy in its heyday.) In that regard I think Vox accomplished what it needed to accomplish.

    I'm willing to wager that those other alliances you mentioned did the responsible thing by contacting the alliance on the receiving end of the "bit of fun", letting them know that the member in question was not acting on the alliance's behalf and that the member in question will be held accountable for his or her actions, and generally acting in such a way as to reconcile the diplomatic incident. The LSF did none of that.

    Certainly, nations knowingly aiding nuclear rogues happens frequently. What doesn't happen frequently: Five nations from an alliance knowingly aiding a nuclear rogue, one of whom uses his power as the alliance's team senate candidate to remove sanctions placed on said nation, and said alliance refusing to engage in dialogue when contacted about the matter.

    For those interested, here is what happened during our attempts to resolve this peacefully:

    In hindsight, I wasn't really expecting anything to come of it; LSF was already making war preparations. From what I can tell, they just wanted a good old-fashioned brawl with us, and that's fine. But let's not be disingenuous; this is a situation entirely of their making, and has nothing to do with Arod Johns being Arod Johns.

    Aiding rogue nations has always been treated as an act of war. Attempts at diplomatic contact were received with answers such as "rogues? what rogues?" Last night, after several LSF members had sent foreign aid to the two nuclear rogues (including such reasons as "Proxy War"), we informed the LSF that any further aid would be considered an implicit declaration of war against Nordreich. Mere hours later, the LSF's Pink Team senator lifted the sanction on the larger rogue nation, so as of tonight we are formally answering LSF's acts of aggression and formally acknowledging a state of war between ourselves and the LSF.
