ive got 22 nukes that id like to give away. in order for me to send you any nukes, you must meet the following criteria:
1) be close to 66,832.608 NS.
sorry, but im a bit sizeist in that respect. its not that i hate those with low or really high NS levels, i just dont think that its right. do as you wish, but i cannot morally condone that kind of a lifestyle.

according to the index, the only thing anarchy does is not give you any of the bonuses that other government types receive. i have no idea if there is any sort of an unlisted negative penalty.

i wouldnt base it on an arbitrary infra level, i would base it on what your daily collections can support.
when you begin buying tech, you want to have enough income to support always have 5 current tech deals, 1 wonder per month, and infra purchases as to not stagnate the growth of your nation. at 5k infra you should have enough money to do this, but it all depends on your trade circle and other modifiers.
keep in mind aswell, if youre going to war with 5k infra and only 50 tech, most of that infra is going to get obliterated in just a few days of war. my advice would be to not get caught unprepared. at 5k infra, you have a good economic base already. getting greedy (in the sense where you are building your economy at the expense of your nation's security) becomes inherently more expensive the larger your economy becomes. no sense in loosing it all over one war.
thats just my two cents though. you gotta go with whatever fits your playstyle and goals for your nation. -

to be perfectly honest, i have no idea why this war started. i have no idea what everyone is fighting about. i have no idea which is which side. mostly because this forum has a serious lack of tl;dr.
but what i do know is that lurunin said there would be booty.

oh no, i get it titus. youre just a parasite that saps off of smaller alliances for your own selfish, personal gains.

it becomes less and less profitable the larger you become. early on, you can make a large amount of income off it, but once you start to get larger, the gains from back collecting become less and less.

yes, never buy any infra/tech/land in anything but the highest block that you can.
to make a bit more money, you can begin back collecting. save up a good amount of money, then pay your bills for a few days. for optimal effect, pay your bills for 20 days, then buy a large amount of infra, then collect 20 days worth of taxes. youll make a large amount of profit off this as you are paying bills more cheaply at a lower infra level, but collecting taxes with a higher level of infra, thus making profit. this does require that you have a good amount of money on hand.
as you get larger, this system becomes less and less profitable though. -

and that titus pullo guy was in our AA last round until we went to war. he did the same thing with us too, booked it the second we went to war. i think he just likes trying to hide in small alliances to make his flag run. might be time to add him to the old blacklist...
whats worse though, is that he brings so much shame to the name of his name-sake. -
according to posts on our forums Rextu, you either attacked us at DEFCON 5 or placed yourself at DEFCON 5 at some point during this altercation.
i also dont think that it was the goal of our nations to anarchy you as soon as possible, but rather to inflict maximum damages possible. Parrot Pirates tend to place raping the enemy above their own infra totals.
i guess maybe you made this thread in an earnest helpful spirit, but you have to realize it comes off as a bit smug, especially considering your nation is nearing being ZIed. your original post would have been better suited for a PM to our members or a post on our alliance's forums. -
some people enjoy the economic/building aspect of this game much more than they do the military side.

Best: anything in the construction BR set (aluminum, marble, iron, lumber), fish, and wheat. water, cattle, and uranium arent that bad either.
Worst: furs and wine. they aren't used for any BR's other than affluent population which is a terrible BR to trade for.
EDIT:
i would reroll for better resources if you dont mind waiting. coal and spices arent terrible, but they are of two different BR sets that most people go for. coal goes for automobiles, spices goes for fast food. yeah you can get both, but then you can only get one resource spot left for either water, fish, or wheat. then when you get larger and you want uranium for nukes, you wont be able to get any of those three resources. -

this made a lot of sense when i read it, but when i tried it my collections went down. i tried decoming another border wall and my collections went down even more.
perhaps its just the way my nation is setup atm, but i see no reason for me to have a government type other than monarchy. -
just changed back to monarchy from democracy. my environment rating was the same before and after.

that may be true, im not sure if there is a cap for environmental reduction or not.
i did neglect to check my environment before and after switching, but when i can switch my government back on the 28th ill check before and after and see if thats the case. -
i didnt realize that the red star next to the government types meant that it gave a boost to your environment. previously, ive always kept my government set to a monarchy, so i decided to switch to democracy to see how much it would boost my collections.
and my collections went down...
my citizen count went down by 35 citizens and my overall collections dropped by $4,292.40. its not much of a drop, but shows that there is no reason for me to ever change my government from monarchy. although i do have a decent amount of land so i suspect that the land bonus with a monarchy outweighs the bonus to environment i receive from a democracy.
