The Magister Dux of Rome is proud to announce the Treaty of Byzantium. We recognize this great day that the light shines upon the riendship formed between SPQR and the Atlantic Empire.

A Peace, Intelligence, and Aid Treaty between the Senatus Populusque Romanus, and The Atlantic Empire.

For the whom it may concern, the Senatus Populusque Romanus will be known as the SPQR, and The Atlantic Empire will be known as AE.

Article I: Peace

Upon the activation of this agreement, the SPQR and AE will agree not to commit acts of aggression upon one another intentionally. An unsanctioned attack against a member of either party is to be dealt via private communications channels, and the appropriate reparations given to the victim of such an unsanctioned attack. If another treaty comes into conflict with this Article, both parties will adhere and respect the terms in this agreement. If this Article is broken party, it is to be null and void immediately.

Article II: Intelligence

If either AE or the SPQR is to uncover or obtain information that is meant to be harmful to either party, the party in question is to surrender that information to the other party. This Article also includes acts of espionage upon either party. Either party shall not actively conduct nor sanction espionage against either party. If such act is sanctioned espionage, this Agreement is to be null and void immediately.

Article III: Aid

In the event that the SPQR or AE is in need of aid, regardless of the situation in which aid is required, either party is required to commit monetary forms of aid to the other party. The amount of aid to be sent is to be pre-determined by the party sending the aid. Though there is no sent amount of aid that is required, it is in good faith that the sum will be sufficient to alter the situation of the party receiving the aid. If either party denies monetary compensation for the other, This Agreement is to be null and void immediately.

Article IV: Amendment

If either party feels that the terms of This Agreement are in need of alteration, the governments of both parties must be in agreement before new terms are to be discussed. All changes to This Agreement are effective in 48 hours after the treaty is amended. Either party may halt the 48-hour amendment activation if that party feels there is an error.

Article V: Termination

If either party feels that This Agreement has outlived it’s purpose, either party must approach the other with a 48 hour warning of when This Agreement is to be cancelled. If either party feels that such cancellation was a mistake, they may ask the party in question to retract the cancellation.

[Mission for Alliance Co-Operation]

I have the pleasure of announcing the signing of the Mission for Alliance Co-Operation. The aliances involved are The Roman Legion (TRL0, Brotherhood of Green (BoG), Natron Association in-School Alliance (NASA), Federation of Democratic Nations (FDN), Oklahoma University (OU), Senate Seeker Coalition (SSC), and Union of Allied Nations (UAN). This shows the highest respect and friendship between our alliances.

The Mission for Alliance Co-Operation

I. Preamble

We, the undersigned alliances, have come together in hopes of promulgating our standing, buttressing our security, promoting our prosperity, and increasing the overall enjoyment of the game. All members understand this and by ratification verify that they will do everything in their power to ensure success.

II. Nonaggression and Discourse

A.) All signatories will refrain from all forms of hostile actions against other signatories.

B.) Any signatory found to be engaging in military action against a fellow signatory will be subject to immediate expulsion from this pact and full military retribution.

C.) Any dispute that arises between members of this bloc will first be handled diplomatically in private channels.

D.) All alliances involved in this pact agree not to carry out aggressive actions, OOC or IC towards one another on any off site forums or chat rooms.

E.) The alliances involved in this pact also may not hide information that may be important to other alliances involved in the pact.

III. Defense and War

A.) Defense: If any member nation comes under attack all other members are required to step forward and come to the defense of the victim with all means possible; military, economic, diplomatic and anything else that may help, so long as the following requirements are met:

1.) The attacking alliance or nation was not provoked into attacking via harassment, threats, extortion, or any other foul nonsense-able thing one may do to get attacked.

2.) If the attacking forces are not so large that victory is impossible.

a.) If the above mentioned is the case defense will not be required when:

1.) The alliance who was first attacked realizes victory is impossible and gives permission for other members to opt out of defending.

2.) If it is questionable as to whether or not a signatory provoked an attack on themselves, and that said attack will lead to the destruction of the bloc, at which point a 2/3 vote will be required to opt out of defense.

B.) Offense: Signatories shall be encouraged to help in offensive warfare alongside other signatories and to aid those signatories in ways economic or otherwise. It is however not required that any member assist any other signatory in said offensive actions.

1.) Notice of offensive military action by any signatory must be given to other signatories no less than 72 hours prior to the commencement of hostilities.

2.) Signatories shall not engage in any offensive action against any alliance which a fellow signatory is obligated by treaty to defend. Failure to follow this will result in the expulsion of the alliance whom commited the act of aggression.

C.) War: In the event that a war breaks out between all of the signatories, control over the armed forces will be given to a commander voted on by all of the member alliances of this bloc to plan and coordinate the war. The commander will be elected by the founding alliances of this bloc. He will remain in power until the war is over and a new commander is voted on, or he quits. His power only resides during times of war as above mentioned.

D.) The Commanders duties are:

1.) To make a plan of action for the war (which will be voted on by military leader of each signatory, unless needed urgently without time to vote)

2.) Coordinate orders, objectives, and missions for alliances within the pact.

3.) Act as main coordinator and ambassador to other alliances and blocs involved in the same side of the war as we are.

4.) If for some reason a signatory does not have a military leader the commander will fill the job in for them.

IV. Diplomatic Assistance

A.) Should any signatory become involved in any form hostility, it is the duty of other signatories to offer diplomatic aid toward the peaceful resolution of said hostilities.

B.) Peaceful diplomatic attempts to end hostilities will be allowed to happen without getting permission from other members of this bloc if something happens while no other signatories involved are online.

V. Economic Assistance

A.) Economic assistance will be given where available when a member of this bloc befalls rouge attacks, or suffers damages in anyway.

B.) Trades, tech deals, and other economic programs will be arranged between the signatories and all signatories will be given precedence over non-allied members in all of the afore mentioned programs.

VI. Senatorial Assistance

A.) All signatories are allowed to vote for whatever senatorial candidate they choose.

B.) It is expected that all alliances will help each other meet one another's senatorial goals.

C.) All non-color specific alliances will be required to give their votes to signatories who have specific color preference and senatorial obligations

VII. Admission of New Signatories

New signatories may only be admitted to this pact by the unanimous vote of all existing signatories.

VIII. Termination of Membership

A.) Any signatory may terminate its membership in this pact following a period of no less than 72 hours following the notification of the other signatories.

B.) Signatories can only be voted out of the bloc by a unanimous vote of all other signatories.

c.) Signatories accused of breaking any rules will be given a fair trial.

1. The signatories will be judged by a council of representatives, 1 per alliance.

2. The accused will be awarded an a council of its choice to defend it in court.

3. If a defense council can not be attained the accused will be given one.

IIX. Amendment

The terms of this pact may be amended by a unanimous vote of signatory alliances, with each alliance getting one vote.

IX. Ratification

The undersigned hereby swear to uphold the terms and conditions stated above, and to do so with grace and poise.

Our Constitution

We, the leaders of the undersigned nations, to provide for our common defense and prosperity, do establish this Alliance Constitution for The Roman Legion.

Article I

All members, upon completion of the trainee test, shall be know as plebeians and will have the power to elect their fellow peers to the Senate. The Senate shall not at any time have more than twenty elected members, although it may consist of fewer. These twenty members shall appoint position holders; the Quaestor (Minister of the Treasury), Aedile (Minister of Internal Affairs), Consul (Minister of the Legions), Praetor (Minister of Foreign Affairs), and Censor (Minister of Membership), by a majority vote. These five position holders shall votes in the Senate but shall not count toward the maximum twenty Senators. These total twenty-five members of the Senate shall appoint the Caesar who holds supreme authority in the TRL.

Article II

Senators shall be elected every two months and shall be responsible for purposing and passing laws. To pass a law needs a majority vote. Position holders are the supreme say in their above said Ministries (while staying in line with passed legislation), while only Caesar can over rule them. A law may be proposed by any Senator, Position holder, or Caesar.

Article III

In the case of an expulsion from the TRL for a plebeian, a Tribune shall be appointed by a Senator to give judgment. A Senator can only be deseated by a two-third vote by the plebeians or if they resign the position, which it that case the seat remains empty till the next election. A Position holder can only be deseated by a two-third vote of the Senate or by a resignation, in which case the Senate immediately appoints a new one. The Caesar can only be deseated by a four-fifths vote of the Senate or a resignation, in which case the twenty-five member Senate will immediately elect a new Caesar.

Article IV

After joining the alliance a member will spend one week in training. After the week the member shall be issued a test which the trainee shall have to pass with an eighty percent grade. After passing they shall be know as a plebeian. All plebeians shall be organized into a designated Legion under the command of an appointed Centurion by the Senate or Consul. All members of the TRL are expected to be ready to fight for the alliance at all times.

Article V

An amendment may be added to this Constitution by a 2/3 vote of the Senate and a majority vote of the Plebeians.

We therefore pledge our nations’ strength’s and manpower in support of the TRL, and do sign for the good of the Senate and the People of Rome.

Quick question,

I was seeing that everyone has their own logos for their individual alliances. I was wondering how you would go about making one of those. Also, alliances have the little square used by diplomats that represent their alliances under their name in forums, how would you make that also. Thank you very much.
