  1. The 8 bonuses are: Steel, Asphalt, Cars, Construction, Microchips, Radiation Cleanup, Beer, and Scholars (these require a bit of Technology purchased so your country has a greater than 90% Literacy rate.

  2. Blue is preferred. Meaning, if someone has resources X and Y, but isn't blue, someone with resources Y and Z will have priority. +5 Happiness isn't a lot, but it's still maximizing the potential of trading.

    Bonus resources are Construction, Steel, Asphault, Cars, and Beer. The other resources end up giving population bonuses.
