But does an alliance need to state that they have this treaty or another to declare war or show it be expected?

I guess the question is pretty much self-explanatory. I don't really think they are needed if a treaty calls for you to go to war. If its optional you probably should at least hint at that, but I think it is only needed when an alliance is the first to ignite the MDP web.

Winston is a good guy, he truly is getting no compensation for running the Tech Deal Forum. In fact, as he is a tech buyer it hurts him just like every other large nation when the prices go up.

I'm not a large nation, more like a medium sized one. It would cost me $7.5 million to buy 50 tech. So for a large nation that might pay $20 or $30 million for that amount, $3 or even $6 million is no big deal.

The large nations don't care how much it costs, they're more concerned with efficiently using their aid slots.
