Although I am glad that this has been brought back, can I ask why? As I suggested this months ago yet was told that It would not happen.
The moderation staff has RL to deal with, we don't exactly have time to do ALL the suggestions which sound good. We finally had some free time to do some changes around here and we decided this was a good idea to go forward with. Thank Vivi for bringing it up again for us so we could complete it.

Yes, they will lose their mask.
The feature should be available within the next 10 or 15 days.
Question: Are the mods going to take care of the mischievous members who wear an alliance tag that isn't theirs?Nope, it's up to alliances to deal with ghosters.

No, we need the colors to stay the same so that it is easy to see when a moderator is online.

Except everyone would have different tags, a minimum number of members/minimum position in the world could be worked into the equation to account for so many significant alliances, many smaller alliances work just as hard or harder to achieve their success but will never be sanctioned due to low member count, and the whole sanction process, in my opinion, is an outdated relic of when we only had 10 major alliances.
This is a bonus for sanctioned alliances, this is how it was when we started it and this is how it will be. We can't reward all alliances, this is an incentive for alliances to want to become sanctioned just like the flag in game is.

Bros, I must say you have come very far since you started. If you would have asked me back in 06, if I thought you would be around this long, I would have said hell no. Good job, you've improved dramatically.
Also, not sure if someone else said it, but I remember when the CM's had a sound each time you launched it! Ha! Beat that.

Just to let everyone know we don't mind you dressing up as other members, but don't copy a moderators sig, avatar, or custom user title. That way there is no confusion as to who is a moderator and who isn't.
This is also found in the rules:

We allowed it for awhile and it was massively abused, never again. We can't establish who has a brother or not, it's not fair for those who are playing by the rules and others are using a loop hole to money launder and trade poaching. While we want more players to play the game, we won't allow the game to be abused so it is a risk we will take by allowing only 1 nation per network.

No. Some flags have been kept in for historical reasons, and reasons of achievement, but they don't normally stay once they have been unsanctioned.
