    Individual Surrender Terms for GATO

#1. Decommission all military (tanks, aircraft, CMs, nukes) including improvements (satellites and missile defenses)

EDIT: Correction of terms that were inadvertently omitted.

For clarification, is the update to the surrender terms the additional requirement to decommission military improvements in #1 (satellites and missile defenses)? Is this requirement retroactive for those who surrendered under the previous terms?

    Thank you.

  2. Yes and suffering we are for the crimes of the few, what i must take issue with is the constant propaganda telling us 'its honourable to surrender as individuals' when it is patently not, i certainly we will not remain silent on this issue.

Yes good point yet like i stated above individual surrender terms are not honourable and our alliance stand a better chance of survival without bleeding members and all of us will be in better condition in this regard, hell part of the reason i am strident on this issue to is show our rank and file that surrendering in this manner is not acceptable.

Cataduanes, I respect your opinion and views on individual surrenders. However, I would like to reiterate our leadership's official position: members of CSN who wish to surrender under these terms and leave CSN for the duration of the war will not be met with hostility or resentment now or in the future, and will be free to return when they are able (as I believe 99% intend to do). That is just for anyone arriving late to this discussion.

And as far as "bleeding" the alliance to knock us out of the war, our prospects for victory are, as Goose pointed out, not greatly enhanced by having 200 zi'ed nations as opposed to 100 zi'ed nations. :awesome:

    *edit for spleling

  3. I believe what they expect from us is to suffer for a time, as it is the custom of war to be unpleasant for those it is waged upon. While I too hope and wish for terms for my alliance to be offered soon, I know that there is no plea that I can make that will slow the machine of war that has borne down on us, or end the battle sooner than those who wage it would wish. Therefore, I choose to wait with hope that my enemies will see fit to make friends out of those of us who have found themselves on opposite sides of this conflict.

    *edited for spelling.

  4. Though I suspect a few will refuse these terms out of a mistaken sense of loyalty, these are very good. If you're a member of CSN, you'd be well advised to accept defeat, take these terms and move on.

While I agree that these terms for individual nations are generous, I take exception to your comment, the eric. CSN has been recognized by many as having proven it's honor in this conflict by honoring our treaty. There may be some members who would see accepting individual surrender terms while they can still fight as a betrayal of the alliance, as well as their comrades-in-arms. I suggest that this sentiment stems from the same honor that lead us to join this fight, not from "a mistaken sense of loyalty".

  5. I request a clarification please.

These terms give no guarantee that nations that surrender and leave their alliance (temporarily or permanently) will be protected by IRON. Will CSN nations be protected from attacks from other 1V nations who have not offered surrender terms? Is there any provision that will negotiate ceasefires on behalf of CSN nations that surrender under these terms with other nations they are currently at war with that are not IRON nations? Does this offer apply only to CSN nations whose military involvement is solely with IRON?

I agree these terms are generous, and I commend IRON's willingness to offer them. I do not raise these questions to be petulant, but to ensure the safety of those who have fought to defend the Commonwealth.

    Thank You,

    President Screw

  6. Well looky here. Second time we do this whole war declaring war thing in support of our allies. Since CSN did the whole declaring on IRON and stuff, we're declaring on them. Will we find a target? Probably not. Will we have fun? Fo sho'.

Howdy CSN. You still rock, but we gotta do what we gotta do.

Hey, we know what it's like, treaties and stuff. To tell the truth, I didn't expect we would merit as much attention as we are getting. See you on the battlefield, CON.

  7. While looking for trades, I found this nation, sunsfan420 ruled by hootzville. I noticed something strange:

Nation Created: 1/30/2008 4:35:19 PM (3 days old)

Last Activity: 1/29/2008 4:35:19 PM (4 Days Inactive)

Last activity a day before the nation was created? Obviously, one of those is off by 24 hours. Hope this won't cause inactive people to be deleted a day early.

    Good luck, and thanks.

  8. Probable reason for the bombardment of messages is that you have joined in the midst of a battle royale recruitment contest. :P

My advice: you will probably not be able to pick out the perfect alliance for you without getting some experience. But experience=time=more opportunity for an unaligned nation to be attacked. So pick someone who sounds good, join their alliance, and give yourself some time to get your feet wet in the intricacies of global politics. You can always leave one alliance and go join a different one. People do it all the time.

  9. LEN is very pleased with the closer ties we are forging with our friends in CSN. Despite their relative size to ours they have always treated us with respect and courtesy.

Daemon, CSN will recognize quality over quantity any day of the week. :awesome:

  10. USN, we now know who your source is and why you wish not revel him. The sad part is in his position he should have been able to tell you we were kicked out of Noon long before any of this happened and anythng being said by Noon is BS. If you want proof we know the who the informant is PM me or Mongo. Seems a third party is stirring fecal matter. As to the Mongo camerontech, they should PM, and a apology for the hiding and manly statement might be nice.

Or if you think were full of crap we can rock it.

Also PM me for the High Council contact I made at USN this afternoon.

PS. Whats this valentines day crap I keep getting PM'd about? If you guys are going to hit Noon just do, don't keep dragging us in please.

You were kicked out of your previous alliance? If your behavior in this situation is any indication, I am not surprised.
