  7. Unable to register Nick

    So, I'm attempting to register an IRC nick, to no avail.

    I've made sure that I'm using the right syntax, and I enter all the correct info; they even email me the auth code.

    Yet when I enter the command the command they send me:

    /msg NickServ AUTH 234835262

    says incorrect password, (yes I'm sure that's the right one im not crazy and can copy/paste)

    Then I try and identify like always; msg nickserv identify pword; it says I'm not authorized.

    Is IRC just glitching or does anyone know what im doing wrong.

    So I posted ban appeal on December 20th, now I know it's (or was) holiday season so I expected a delayed reponse etc, but I didn't expect for my appeal to be ignored.

    As for some background relating to the appeal, I've had a troubled yet experienced history in CN. I've made some really bad decisions and screwed up, and I sincerely regret them. Despite the troublesome history, I've been in, and helped contribute to the CN community.

    Because I miss my many friends here, and just the community altogether; I ask the CN staff for one last and final chance at a clean start in CN.

    I promise that you won't regret it and will uphold and follow ALL rules and regulations for CN.

    Birds of Paradise Treaty

    Ravyns - EDEN PIAT

    Preamble:

    In the interests of furthering the common cause of peaceful and friendly relations, The Ravyns and Eranos Defense of Empirical Nations (EDEN) hereby agree to the following terms and articles

    Article - Respect

    Both alliances and their respective memberships shall remain sovereign of one another.

    Article 2 - Peace

    Neither alliance shall engage in or endorse military action against the other signatory. If a member nation of either signatory alliance is found to have done this, they will be ordered to offer peace and/or reparations equivalent to the total damages inflicted. Defending nations are required to limit retaliation to the number and type of attacks received. Should an offending nation refuse to offer peace and fulfill the terms of reparations determined by this pact they will be declared a rogue by their respective alliance and handled according to the policies of the victim's alliance.

    Article 2.1 . Neither alliance will engage in or endorse espionage against the other.

    Article 2.2 Neither signatory will engage in the use of sanctions against member nations of the other signatory without written permission from that signatory's government.

    Article 3 - Friendship

    The memberships of both signatory alliances shall do their utmost to remain civil to each other at all times, especially in public forums.

    Article 4 - Intelligence

    If either alliance receives information concerning a direct threat to the other, the receiving alliance will notify the other signatory and provide the relevant information. The source of said information may be left undisclosed.

    Article 5 - War

    Should either signatory become involved in a military Conflict, they may officially request (through the proper channels) request aid, financially or militarily, to help end the conflict, or to aid them after the conflict. The other Signatory is not legally bound to aid the other alliance, but are encouraged to aid their ally.

    Article 5.1. Either alliance may use this treaty as an optional defense pact. Should either alliance come under fire from an outside force, they may contact the other signatory and request military assistance. Said signatory has up to 48 hours to reply.

    Article 5.2. Refusal to follow Article 5.1 cannot be used as grounds to terminate this treaty.

    Article 6 - Termination

    Either signatory may terminate this pact at any time; however, the withdrawing alliance must notify the other signatory through diplomatic channels 48 hours prior to doing this, except when the countersigned has violated Section II.

    Excellent, we apparently seek similar things! Which is why I'd like to invite you to The Ravyns

    * fat sign-up bonus: big surprise, right? But I'm not just greedy, as I have specific goals (building a navy and completing my air force);

    The Ravyns offers a 3 million dollar signing bonus to new nations, as apart of our newest program. Oppurtunities for financial advancement are available, aid goes to those who are

    * consistency: a little drama is fun and makes for good internal politicking, but when it starts wars and leaves people abandoned, it's gone too far;

    Of course, we'll keep the drama within limits. Everything we do is for a reason, and well thought out; and we don't like excessive drama, it gets annoying. We'll make our posts and contributions to the CN politics, but nothing more

    * smart foreign policy: I don't care if you're tech raiders, but my loyalty won't turn into stupidity if I have to personally uncover the reason you attacked a 5,000,000-man alliance.

    Our leaders and myself are experienced in foreign policy. We are currently arranging many treaties, (we develope strong relations before signing treaties) to improve our foreign policy and overall relations with other alliances. Currently we have a PIAT with EDEN and a Protectorate agreement with LoSS. Many more treaties to come. Additionally, we'll never do anything that would endanger our citizens on our allies.

    * forum sexiness: I know this sounds weird, but if your forum isn't at least mildly pimped-out and if it is unorganized (bad grammar in the board descriptions, etc.), then I will be frustrated.

    Amen, I believe in a strong vocabulary and of course grammar; especially in forums and Open World Forum posts, after all whatever you say directly resembles your alliance. So professionalism is always great. Our forums ? do look pretty seksi.

    I think you'll really enjoy your self in The Ravyns, we have many open government positions within. Our alliance is merely 20 days old and already at 500,000k Nation Strength. We're inspired and dedicated to grow quickly but efficiently. Join us on our path to success!
