If you choose peacemode you will be in peacemode so bad comparison.

I made my nation yesterday and while on the "Create nation" screen it gives you the option to set your DEFCON level, I chose 1 - Maximum Readiness but it seems it chooses 5 by default?

Only minor because I can set it after I've created my nation, just seems odd that it gives you the option.
