  1. This treaty upgrades AiD from a protectorate of the Commonwealth of Echelon to a MDoAP partner.

    That is all... B)

    Article I: Non-Aggression

No member nation of either signatory will declare war on any member nation of the other, provide aid to enemies of the other, or commit acts of espionage against the other. Should either signatory's members commit such acts, adequate reparations and disciplinary action is expected within a reasonable time period. Such incidents shall be resolved through use of proper diplomatic channels in a respectful manner.

    Article II: Intelligence

    i. Should either signatory receive sensitive information regarding the other, they agree to share said information (and the source) with the other, with the intent to protect the security of both signatories.

ii. Both signatories agree to exchange moon/mars "hotspot" information when available.

    Article III: Mutual Defense

Should either signatory come under attack by a third-party, the other is required to come to said signatory's assistance with it's full strength and resources. To request assistance in a time of war, the signatory in need must send a request to the other through proper diplomatic channels. That alliance then has forty-eight (48) hours to comply, unless another time window is agreed upon by both parties.

    Article IV: Optional Aggression

In the event that either signatory chooses to go to war with a third-party, the other signatory is encouraged (though not required) to come to said signatory's aid. Should one signatory choose not to come to the other signatory's aid in a war of aggression, this treaty will remain in full effect.

    Article V: Withdrawal

Either signatory may withdraw from this treaty after giving notice to the other through proper diplomatic channels. Once notice is given, a seventy-two (72) hour grace period will be in effect in which this treaty will remain active.

  2. Does anyone else find that EXTREMELY ironic coming from Echelon?

I haven't heard anyone from Echelon complain about being outnumbered... Hell, most of us welcome it, it provides us with a target rich environment. :P

And for the record, I have no issues with anyone (including Karma) attacking individual nations 3-to-1. It's the risk you run when you go to war and it's part of the game.

Just don't complain about it when the favor is returned.

    Anyway...

  3. Once again, I'd like to point out that this wasn't about saving pixels or being afraid of war. We left when Echelon declared itself neutral because Echelon didn't want to uphold it's treaties with NPO because they would be utterly steamrollered. That they changed their mind is merely an indication that the court of public opinion scared them more than damage to their nations.

When did Echelon declare itself neutral?

And if our goal was to avoid going to war, why didn't we withdraw from One Vision?

    Your argument fails...

I'd also like to point out that six days after the outbreak of hostilities, over 45% (at the time of this posting) of Echelon nations are still in peace-mode.

It takes 5 days to come out of peace mode once you enter it.

Edited to add: We declared war on the 22nd, your a tad off.
