Greetings, nobles all of Digiterra.
We come before you this day to signify two things of note.
Today, for an as yet undetermined period of time, we undertake a leave of absence from our beloved Order of the Black Rose, whose halls and keep we shall sorely miss for the duration of our travels. Indeed, such is our sorrow at absenting ourselves even temporarily from that stronghold that we would not be able to force ourselves to do it did we not know that we leave it in the most capable, committed, and compassionate hands possible: those of our cherished Knights SIR GWALCHFAEN, SIR YENISEY, SIR NEBOE, SIR BUMPY, SIR SOCCAROLINA, SIR ZUNEA, SIR QUERCUS, and SIR REFORMENTIA, in whose wisdom and trust we now place the Order until our return.
Know then all by these presents that as of this moment, the Order of the Black Rose is under the command of its Knights assembled in Council, to whom we entrust its peace, its power, and its prosperity; and know further that this Council shall first convene under the command of our beloved SIR NEBOE, Knight IX of the Order and its newly named Knight Protector, who shall by his example and his energy guide all who serve us safe to good, to grace, and to glory until we may be reunited.

We joyfully extend our heartiest congratulations, deepest thanks, and warmest admiration to Sir Reformentia, the noble metal, and each and every member of Blackwater in celebration of this momentous announcement. It is an honor to work with you, nobles all. You are an inspiration to us every day.

Behind Cyber Nations has been on hiatus longer than any of us on its editorial staff intended. We had all kinds of ideas for the end of 2007...and then RL got in the way.
If anyone has suggestions for future issues, we'd love to hear them.

We are appreciative of this public apology and sympathetic to the embarrassment experienced by the noble leaders of the Red Rose. As all who undertake the strenuous task of drafting them know, the composition of official documents is a difficult and draining process. We are honored that our own efforts in that line are held in such regard by groups who share our commitment to RP in Digiterra.
As the leaders of the Red Rose determine its future course, we hope they will consider becoming a signatory to our Writ de Credo, many portions of which will no doubt be familiar from their near-verbatim reproduction in the Red Rose's new Religious Decree. We look forward to peaceful and prosperous relations going forward and trust that this rough beginning shall be no impediment to our future friendship.

It is often said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Plagiarism, however, is slightly less than flattering, and we cannot help but notice the many phrases in this announcement lifted word-for-word from our own founding Roselution.
We wish the Red Rose the best of luck in its Digiterran RP endeavors and hope that it will soon find its own voice in which to describe them.

We are, and ever have been, welcoming to every alliance who chooses to send diplomats to us in good faith, and unwavering in our friendship to our allies and our assistance in furthering their well-being.
But we are not, and never shall be, the object of anyone's pity; and we do not, and never shall, seek mercy rather than justice.

It is seldom, in our abeyance, that messages make their way to us. That this one managed to traverse the great distance can only be an act of the most divine Providence, for we would have languished forever in desolation and despair had we not known of this tremendous and wonderful addition to the Order we hold so very dear. There have been many who, purposely or no, have been considered for the plum role which has now been filled. But we can say with assurance that no prior candidate possessed nearly the ineffable, the innate, the inimitable foolishness of Toffee, and we can only marvel and rejoice in our shared good fortune that the motley and bells were never bestowed until this day.
Nobles all, we embrace you and send our best love and heartiest congratulations on this fine addition.
