At no point in time have I tried to deny any of the events that have occured. So please lets step down from our soapboxes for a minute.
Just because you see a nation with more than 2 years of play don't assume they sit here nightly and read every topic on these forums or even remotely want to get involved in politcs of CN. Up until 6 months ago when we merged with the GDA..we hadn't been in a single war outside tech raids. So to say things are pretty standard to you and others in the political/war arena, they don't necessarily apply to the community as a whole.
As to my statement "despite the politics of it all" they were the wrong choice of words for what happened at the time. Aid was requested...and aid was sent. It was that simple.
Now I'm simply trying to find out, or bring to light the remaining facts that surround this issue. Z stated he informed my then govnt of this issue on the 19th. And as I've stated whether it be "standard knowledge" regarding sending this aid being a no-no, neither of us received anything regarding this initial aid. I would think the certain parties involved would be contacted directly regarding this. Therefore once the initial aid went through with no "problems" the second set was sent thinking it was perfectly acceptable.
As i've said I'm not denying the aid and we're obviously reaping the consequences of our actions. I just want all the facts to come out about this....

Uh. I think it took us a few days to notice it, and maybe a couple more to get it sorted - but (again, unless I'm confusing the two) it was sorted out and I was under the impression you were told it was a no-no and reps were paid over it. If someone from GDA could clarify that would be great, my memory's a bit poor and I'm halfway around the world from my IRC logs at the moment.
I can't speak for Avistonia....but at no point in time was I ever told (after the first round of aid had been sent) to stop. Therefore the 2nd aid was sent thinking it was perfectly acceptable.
Now if what you are saying is true, and you guys were told this....my what a wicked web we've weaved! I'd also love to see logs of these!

lol.... Just when I thought GDA was at the peak of failure. They show they don't even want members in their alliance.
I'm shocked than an alliance with over 40 nations capable of easily sending more than 3mil every 10 days can't do this once or twice. lolGDAEconomylol
I thought I read somewhere GDA was working on economy after the war... and they can't afford 300mil. lol
Both Avistonia and I could have covered the 300M between us...with the cash we have/had on hand. At least we could before the gang bang
If I was a betting man...which I am....I'd put a large sum on more leaving. Loyalty & comradery trumps alliance "protection" / self preservation

Sending aid to people at war on the Hegemony side while under surrender terms. I'm just going off of memory here, I could be mistaken. I suppose it's also possible that this is the same incident but I seem to recall it being a few weeks ago and that seems liek quite a delay for kicking out members.
you'd be correct because we both sent 2 sets of aid to that same nation. So given that, your correct. At no time during either of those 2 aids sets was anything said by anyone; enemy, ally or alliance. Was it understood....maybe by the people who set the terms.
So I understand your statement earlier of "this happened before" however if it was such a gregious "crime" you'd think it would have been caught and delt with on the 19th of May when the first set was sent out. Just my two cents on the matter...

It's my understanding that these members had caused similar problems before. I am not surprised to see them kicked out.

What's done is done. No sense arguing over the semantics. Some take this way more serious then some. We were merely helping a buddy out despite the politics of it all.
Funny thing is, it seems the alliance currently attacking me gave more thought / respect for my nation than the alliance I was in.

to Schattenmann....I'm not pissed at my buddy. He needed the aid to "survive." In times of "war" you truly see who your buddies and allies really are.

If the members in question had been active, contributing members, we most likely would have chosen the reps option. That said, they were little more than dead weight, so it wasn't a big loss to us at all.
Active contributing members....interesting.
Sending more than 75 M in aid to your new members etc...I guess I need to re-check my understanding of contributing members..

No thats not what THE really stands for, merely a joke. In RPG games it was easier to see the bar | on the battle screen so you always knew where your buddy was
And THE was used in this context...4. (used to mark a noun as indicating the best-known, most approved, most important, most satisfying, etc.)

Small group of friends that decided to play CN a couple of years ago. Then decided to try out TE 2 rounds ago. We like TE much better
We've been playing games online for years....8-10 years to be honest.
And before you ask THE doesn't real stand for anything. It was a tag in RS/UO and then the Battlefield series. Then again we sometimes say it stands for The Humping Elephants (if you played the RS/UO series you'd understand the humping more

Here to officially announce ||THE||'s existence for round 5. We merged with the GDA in past rounds but decided to branch back off to our smaller alliance. We've been playing TE for the past 3 rounds...and SE for over 2 years now.

We're trying to mate, you boys are hiding in peace mode. Hell I spied away some nukes and it was enough to scare two of em into peace. Little less conversation, little more action please? =)
Fact....2 of the top 4 (myself being 1 of them) resigned from the GDA at the onset of the war for not going to war like we originally agreed too. Once this error was corrected we returned. As for the peace mode the 2 of us upon returning to our old AA went into peace mode to detract raiders until things got straightened out. As for the other 2...no clue.
That being said leave your nation link here and I'll be sure to make you my first declaration when I can finally get out of it. Trust me I'm itching to fight...who made this 5 day default thing anyway!?!?!

Farkistan should not have honored their agreement because ADULT wasn't strong enough to stand up to the people who had a treaty with the folks they attacked.

Looking at all your posts and the fact your completely hell bent on war....why expand....
We probably could have. However, we decided to place our alliance with ADULT above our reputations, above our relationship with SWAT, and above any sense of fairness. I have yet to see any person from ADULT post in this and I have to wonder what their views are. We were asked to join in this war by them. Obviously they didn't see the battle with SWAT as worthwhile. Perhaps this could have been avoided if SWAT actually had asked ADULT, as unrealistic as that is. I agree fully that this may not have been the best move, but it is a reasonable move under the circumstances.Understandable. But that would be "refreshing" to have happen as far fetched as it does seem.
