  1. This definition of fair fight interests me. The Order got the nations, the allies, the strength we did by playing by the rules. Anyone else could have played as we have, gotten where we did, had they planned and acted accordingly. I never understood the notion that it is somehow unfair that we use that which we have built instead of deliberately handicapping ourselves.

You don't want a fair fight, you want an even fight, and the two are not the same thing. What you are insisting is fair is you get the full resources you have, while the NPO only be allowed a tiny fraction of what we have, in your war against us, to prove some sort of point. What exactly is this duel of yours going to prove if you win? That through random chance you might be able to stop one of us? That hardly matters, doesn't have anything to do with changing the course of the political game.

What if I accepted your challenge? I would almost certainly win as my NPO training and material support vastly exceed your own. I have vastly more infrastructure and technology than yourself. My wonder system is far more advanced. If I won, what would change? You would just whine about how unfair it was that you accepted a duel with a much more advanced nation than yourself and lost.

The only way to get an even fight is for one of the NPO nations to deliberately cripple itself to your level, buy the craptastic set of wonders you purchased while discarding their own, and, in general, make themselves a weak target to fight you on a level playing field. So I say again, you don't want to fight the NPO on fair terms, you want to fight the NPO on even terms, which amounts to the NPO hogtying itself, knocking out its teeth, gouging out its eyes, and sneezing you to death. I wonder why so few of us are interested in that offer?

Admittedly, he has been discredited and you are the stronger nation in the stronger alliance, but when it comes to playing by the rules I must wonder what place do former contracts of nonaggression with the NPO or it's allies that also had similar deals with former alliances have in them.

  2. NPO was one of the key founding elements of the Continuum, and maintains complete control of the red sphere, offering it as a haven to

unaligned nations. NPO is also a member of One Vision.

IRON is a promiment member of the Continuum, One Vision, Orange Unity Treaty, and is ferromagnetic

NpO is a key member of BLEU, an important part of blue team, and a member of One Vision

MCXA is a key member of BLEU...... [/rant]

    You get the point.

Allies of NPO are not slaves of theNPO

The proper term would be coconspirators.

  3. There's nothing to debate. We're on top and as such, we're the target of bored little children who whine and moan about how evil we are. It'd be the same deal if it were ODN, GPA, or whoever else happened to be the sole superpower in a hypothetical world.

I'm a realist. If you don't like how we're running things, put together a force strong enough to topple us. Do something instead of rant while holding down Shift + 1. Oh and come out of peace mode. I'll be waiting.

Actually, that's false. GPA was on top for awhile and there was no such out cry, while at the same time, even before GWII there has been a steady stream of negative feelings over NPO's foreign policy.

  4. The New Pacific Order is ruled by an Emperor. Was this supposed to some shocking revelation? I'm fine with NPO imperialism. Someone has to be at the top, and NPO is pretty benevolent about it.

I agree with the first part, but I would have to ask if history backs up the second part.

  5. If they can do so with respect, yes. If they babble in ALLCAPS and exclamation points!!!!!!1! then, no, I can't guarantee they won't get attacked for trolling.

That said, you have my attention, Eullia, as do Special B and Lord Frost. For some reason, none of you are being attacked. Strange, isn't it?

I like to think it's because I'm civil about it and know when it's pointless to continue an argument at detriment to myself.

And is it just me or is FAN the LUE of yesteryear?

  6. Honestly Lord Thomas Drake, all this is going to do is make you the new Walford. The only way to cause change is to have power, since you don't have power you'll just have to wait until someone else with power acts, doing what you're doing right now is useless.

One person in power that reads and sides with the poster can make all the difference in the world.

Every action has a reaction, ect.
