If an active tech raider is on the red team and is attacked himself in a tech raid does the NPO still defend him??
I'm pretty sure the NPO defends unaligned red team members on a case by case basis.
I would assume that if a nation got itself is trouble, the NPO would not be rushing to help them out.
I can only assume though.

Historically, Europeans have subjugated thousands of societies and impoverished the majority of the globe's occupants.
Of course, I am generalising, but so are you.
Seeing how Europeans have been the cause of such calamities, maybe we should declare them unfit to play CN?
Your perception only means that, if anything, the past actions of people cannot be used to judge them now. The inevitable consequence of your argument would mean that Nazis should be accepted back into the CN community, seeing how ridiculous it is to judge people by the actions of their predecessors- but only if people here have ostracised Nazis for the actions of previous Nazis.
However, as I've said continually, Nazis are not wanted here because their entire ideology is destructive, whereas Communists at least seek to create a just society.

I'm not trying to declare people unfit for CN. I'm saying that if we are going to judge one train of thought, we should use the same playing field for all trains of thought.
Generalizations are the name of the game aren't they? When someone is generalized as a Nazi on CN they are ostracized. Perhaps with reason.
Reason is not what I am questioning though.
My question remains.
Does the CN world condemns Nazis for their values and morals (or lack thereof). Not their actions?
Like I said, that is the only possible way I could logically justify the actions of the CN community.

Here's a very basic way to cut it down to size for you.
I am a socialist. I desire the creation of a classless society based on worker control of the forces of production.
I do not want to empower a bureaucracy to rule over me and decide what is best for me, which is what you seem to think is what all communists must want, since you are drawing parallels between the Stalinist USSR and Nazism. I also do not endorse mass-extermination of people in the achievement of a goal which can only be achieved with the cooperation of the majority.
So, whereas Communists have an overall goal that is seen by nearly everybody as being a good idea, at least in theory, Nazis actually state that they desire harm to befall certain groups in society.
Only an idiot would judge a person by the actions of someone else. I do not judge Nazis or Fascists on what Hitler did. If they support what Hitler did, then that is a different story. This is the same for anyone who supports mass-genocide. Like most socialists, however, I do not.
Using your logic I could hold you responsible for the enslavement of most of the globe by Imperialistic powers, decry you for assassinating the elected officials of various third world nations, and the death of millions in wars and famine. Presuming that you are a supporter of Capitalism, of course.
Thankfully anyone can see the lack of logic in your conclusions.

You say you don't judge Nazis or fascists in CN on the actions of the real life Nazis and fascists.
You would be the exception.
I will simplify my thought process.
Historically, Nazis were racist and brutal in their killings. As such, the CN world sees people who emulate them as deplorable and destroy them accordingly.
Historically, communists were brutal and non discriminate in their killings. As such the CN world sees them as acceptable.
Am I the only one that finds that hypocritical?

The ORIGINAL German Empire actually wasn't all that bad, it was WWII Germany that was pure evil. The orignal German Empire tried to make a Navy and support their allies, and they got their arses handed to them for doing so.

The only thing "natural" is your biological self and your natural economy (trees, air, water, chipmunks etc). Everything else is human engineered and most certainly social & political systems are human engineered. So no system is more "natural" than the other.
I disagree. Competition is natural. Survival of the fittest.
Because every single nazi school of thought ever conceived holds racial superiority theory in its helm (even non Germanic neo nazi groups- ex: Bajrang Dal / SHiv Sena / HuA). Communism doesn't. The only thing communism holds central is the redistribution of private property in varying degrees. This may be objectionable by some, but is most certainly not on the same league as say- propagating racial superiority.So just to be clear.

I apologize for my necromancy but I figured this would be the best place to ask a few questions.
I personally am very opposed to the Marxist theories and applications. I have read Das Kapital and the communist manifesto and can see the inherent problems within. Mind you I am no Nazi or fascist. I just see the values commonly referred top as "right wing" as more natural and practical.
So I may have somewhat of a personal bias on the matter. I will admit that openly.
Here is my question.
We all know how there is supposed to be a distinction between the IC actions of planet Bob and the OOC politics of our world. As such we must realize the OOC world does play a huge factor in our IC actions.
Nazi symbolism is not accepted and even members with IC names that are referred to as "Nazi" are attacked or banned from alliance membership. This is no doubt because of the OOC actions of the Nazis. What I want to know is why the communists actions OOC are not held to the same stigma.
People deemed "Nazis" in planet Bob are attacked for the racism and murders delivered by the Nazis in the real world.
Why are those who openly proclaim to be communist or socialist not held accountable for the same actions of their IC counterparts?

The question, KillerTomato, is what the purpose of the flag is supposed to be. Being meaningful is good, but ultimately the point of a flag is to easily identify your group. Look at all the flags using exactly the same pattern of a red field with a Union Jack in the canton and a shield-shaped crest to the right. How are casual observers supposed to tell the difference?

Check out how many similar flags there are in the world. It's pretty amazing.
Their similarity speaks to their purpose though. Nearly all the nations or territories/provinces using the ensign design (red ensign, blue ensign, white ensign, etc.) are historically British colonies or members of the British military.
Just as the New Polar Order's flag is very similar to that of the New Pacific Order. The design similarity of the flag speaks to it's roots and those who had a major hand in founding it.
