The Shadow Accord upon inception was to be an alliance based upon honour, valour and candour. In these weeks leading up to our first birthday one thing has been certain throughout, that we The Shadow Accord have held true to our values, as we have, as we do and as we will always do.
Though we may not be a well known alliance in Planet Bob, we have in our previous forms (TSC, TSCE) shown our valour in times of war and have always come to the aid of our allies in need. We will never renege on our treaties, we will honour our obligations to be there for our allies both in war and in peace.
The time for The Shadow Accord to join this war has finally arrived. In defence of Asgaard, we officially declare war upon RnR, as per The Shadow of Mead Hall Mutual Defence Pact:

A. Military Assistance
Should either signatory come under military attack by another alliance, the other signatory is obligated to respond with her full military support, unless specifically requested to stand down by the attacked signatory.

Though our deceleration may anger some, we hope they will understand that we must be sincere in that we will always come to the aid of allies in need, irrelevant of the dangers of such. Honour and trust above all else must be maintained, without it there is nothing worth fighting for.

You are assuming this is so, and it is not so. As stated, reasons were given to both alliances in private, as it should be, and as it is. -

[size="3"]As of the 16th August 2011, The Imperial Senate of The Shadow Accord has deemed it necessary to cancel our optional defence pact with The Last Republic, the reasons of which have been exchanged in private.
Though we are cancelling our treaty, it is hoped the good relations that were established prior and during the treaty we held will hold strong. We wish The Last Republic good luck and fortune for the future.
As per our treaty, it will remain in effect for the next 72 hours of this announcement, after which time it will be annulled.

I would like to think more highly of the black sphere than for it to devolve into arguments, simply beacuse the summit will be hosted on our forums. I would like to think that we can all come together and discuss the future of our sphere, irrelevant of location, as mature people would and should. The Shadow Accord is not the black sphere alliance leader, we're simply acting as hosts of this summit, and as the host, all black alliances are welcome, large or small, beacuse we believe that small alliances, while smaller in strength in number, can be just as strong in heart, and why would we not invite those who shine as bright?
I appreciate your input Fear, I do, but in this instance we will stay true to our plan -
I hope from this summit, the black sphere can renew its vigour and zeal towards a more collective, communicated and prosperous community.

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce this optional defence pact between The Shadow Accord and The Last Republic. This treaty marks the beginning of a blossoming friendship that will continue to grow in tandem with the alliances therein. Without further adieu, I present to you, The Eagle Accord!

The undersigned representatives of The Last Republic (TLR) and The Shadow Accords (TSA) hereby enter into this pact representative of continued friendship and mutual respect.
[color="#FF0000"]Article I - Peace[/color]
Both parties will refrain from any form of hostile activity such as military force, internal subversion or espionage of any kind, and shall display respect and good will towards the member nations of each respective alliance.
[color="#FF0000"]Article II - Aggression[/color]
If one signatory wants to go to war with a third party alliance the other is strongly encouraged, but not obligated, to ride to war with them.
[color="#FF0000"]Article III- Defence[/color]
If one signatory is attacked by a third party aggressor, the other signatory has the option to come to their defense, be it militarily or economically.
[color="#FF0000"]Article IV - Intelligence[/color]
If either alliance receives information concerning a threat to the other or their allies, the receiving alliance will notify the other signatory as soon as possible and provide the relevant information, keeping the source hidden if chosen. Neither alliance will engage in or endorse espionage against the other.
[color="#FF0000"]Article V - Aid[/color]
The alliances may request help from each other in the time of military or political conflict, be it direct or indirect financial aid, intelligence information, or political pressure. Alliances are encouraged to fulfill these requests, but are not required to do so.
[color="#FF0000"]Article VI- Friendship[/color]
Signatories of this pact pledge to show only respect and good will towards each other. While this will prohibit outright verbal hostility in all its forms, it will not restrict healthy debate or productive disagreement.
[color="#FF0000"]Article VII - Cancellation[/color]
It is the hope of both signatories that this pact may last forever, or until the bond it represents grows to the point where an upgrade is merited. Given the uncertainties of the future, however, it is recognized that should any of the above Articles be violated, or should some major irreparable disagreement arise, that this pact maybe cancelled after 72 hour notice.

It is with great pleasure, that I am able to announce this protectorate treaty, thus friendship and partnership between The Shadow Accord and First Tactical Corps, protector and protected respectively.
[color="#FF0000"]Article I: Preamble[/color]
The Shadow Accord hence forth known as TSA and First Tactical Corps hence forth known as FTC have seen fit to sign this protectorate treaty, TSA the protector and FTC the protected.
[color="#FF0000"]Article II: Sovereignty[/color]
The alliances of TSA and FTC agree to respect and uphold each other's sovereignty. Neither shall try to impede on this sovereignty through espionage or overthrowing their respective governments.
The only exception to this rule is foreign affairs, which will be jointly managed by the foreign affairs divisions of TSA and FTC respectively.
[color="#FF0000"]Article III : Protection , Advisory & Economics[/color]
TSA will protect FTC with the same vigour and profoundness as an attack on TSA itself, in the case that FTC is attacked, TSA will utilize all means at their disposal to assist, including military, financial and diplomatic means.
TSA will appoint an advisor to its FTC on a purely advisory role, they will confer on technology and economic cooperation for the mutual growth of both alliances.
[color="#FF0000"]Article IV: Intelligence[/color]
If either signatory comes into possession of knowledge regarding to the safety and security of the other, then it is there obligation to ensure that the knowledge is passed forthwith to the other.
[color="#FF0000"]Article V: Termination[/color]
Any breach of any of the terms listed above may warrant grounds for this treaties termination. This protectorate may be terminated at any time during peace, though the withdrawing signatory agrees to notify and uphold the treaty 72 hours in advance.

The situation has now been resolved in earnest, we welcome Mister Black to The Imperial Remnant and hope we can help him growth and prosper as part of the team! :)
